Do you think that 2017 was the "Golden Year of Crypto"? Or is the best is yet to come? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

So many people made money in 2017 even shitcoins are pumped I don't believe 2017 is the golden year of Bitcoin the golden year is yet to come, the community is now maturing and so many new platforms are created just like Decentralized Finance, once we have another all-time high it will be our golden year, it's going to be better than the last one.

I'm expecting more for bitcoin by next year. It's presumably to be at $15k by this year but I think that's visible by 2021.

Well, thank you for making me remember how good the end of the year 2017. It wasn't that long but if you were able to sell some bitcoins during that time and took profits, you'll appreciate it more this time.

But I think it's the latter, history may repeat itself and I think bitcoin will show us more than it has showed last 2017.

Oh yeah it definitely was. It was the time where you just made a white paper, create your own coin and it would take value because people were willing to buy it because of the hype. The sudden rise in value of the coins was beneficial to those who started crypto not long ago before 2017. I still regret missing the opportunity that year gave.

If we compare 2017 to the past two years then yes it was a golden year so far for Bitcoin and other altcoins and 2020 is not over yet so anything can happen in the remaining months of this year and it will be very interesting to see anyways I am expecting something positive with btc in the month of December hopefully all things go in a positive way.

I don't think so because the bull-run has only happened in the last days of December which is one of the great histories of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. However, I don't consider it golden age since it's not that long before it falls again after that trend. For me, 2017 was the best year fo bounties because almost project that appeared that year was legit just before they become shit and bankrupt. But most of the project that year was good and paying. there are lots of bounty participants who got their biggest history of received payment in bounties.

For me it really was. Last quarter of 2017 is the best compared to the next one up to until now. Actually, it was a great time to start my journey as a bitcoin investor Smiley.

Though last ATH was so memorable for most of us, I do believe that we don't just end there. I know the price right now is having a hard time to stabilize and to soar high but I am confident that it will skyrocket in the future especially knowing that the current pandemic opened a huge opportunity for people to get know of it more. Maybe after a year, two or three? Who knows? The best thing to do right now is to keep hoarding Grin. (Sounds greedy so still buy at your own risk)

Till now 2017 was the "Golden year of Crypto". But i strongly believe that The best is yet to come.
Check this article : https://www.forbes.com/sites/billybambrough/2020/06/08/bitcoin-could-hit-300000-in-five-years-even-without-institutional-adoption/#6225331252c6

It is definitely true that year 2017 was a year where a cryptocurrency is in big hit. I am truly agree that 2017 was a Golden year of crypto and i'm lucky enough that i may able to experienced the peak success of the digital currency. Today we may be disgusted of what we have seen on the market, a red marks indication that the value of our crypto are low. Bit i am hoping for another best year to come for the crypto currency. Hopefully came it so soon.

till now yes 2017 was the golden year of crypto. That time not only BTC but also other altcoins reached ATH.after that crypto crash happened and few coins can't survive. That time many people earned lots of money in a short time. But I think In the future the crypto industry will break 2017 records, But I will say that till now 2017 was the best year for crypto industry.
Yes, with the price received by bitcoin and affecting all altcoins it is clear that this year was a golden year for crypto, won't there be any changes with crypto in the future? Instead, I predict that the peak golden year will be in 2021 and it will be seen starting from the end of this year. if the movement has started, it is certain that it will happen and we are waiting because the crypto surprise has been awaited for a long time.

2017 was really a remarkable year so far in bitcoin history, even though we are expecting more and better this coming 2021, it was 2017 that actually brought bitcoin main limelight
There was a quick financial turn around positive for most participants. In my country many started making enquir I enjoyed it but I wished I enjoyed more and I can't wait to take the best advantage on the next bull run.

Its the best year that every crypto hodler and trader could ever dreamt off. The best year so far in the history of cryptocurrency. Its where the value of crypto is such a bull that you may never get tired of checking the blockchain and even it has some fluctuations of the value but that value is so far different from now. I remember that year where i personally experience how lucky that year was not only for me but to all of us as cryptocurrency traders and hodlers. Im still hoping the best year for the digital currency to come though maybe it may takes long but hopefully newbies can also experience where cryptos are on peak.

I don't really see that year as a good year for crypto not even the word golden comes to mind. I would call it the good year for crypto bounties and that's it. All the things that happened in this year helped a lot of bounty participants and were able to get good value to the signature campaigns, and the translation bounties and at the time the twitter and facebook posts that one does and many people were able to earn decent amount at the time. My colleague was able to earn around 5,000 dollars at a time and for me was able to pay some debts. And I am sure many people were blessed with good bounties at the time as well.

Before saying anything I would like to point out - there is no "shoulds" in investments, its only your or other people's perception of upcoming future.
Anyway, do believe 2017 was the Golden Year of Crypto, in terms of great start of a great new technology in our lives.
Thus, I don't think it was the best year for crypto overall - there were not many good projects and overall technical side was fairly raw compared to current state of crypto market.
Even though bitcoin and eth and most of other old coins are lower in terms of price at the moment - you can clearly see huge improvements in features that cryptos are offering nowadays.
Greater things are yet to come.

2017 began as a bullish year for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the market. I remember when BTC went from $1k to almost $20k in just 2017 alone. That's a massive price increase never before seen in the history of crypto. During that time, new projects started to rise with ambitions to make our world a better place. ICOs where a big hit, followed by Bitcoin-based forks like Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold. Many who invested prior to the bull market of 2017, have made exponential gains in a short amount of time. It was crypto's best moment as it went into the mainstream so quickly.

Once 2018 started, prices for major cryptocurrencies went all the way down the drain. Governments imposed heavy-handed regulations against ICOs, reducing the demand for ETH and its tokens on the market. At the same time, some countries banned crypto from being used by their citizens. Many negative events happened in 2018, which stifled crypto's growth in the mainstream world. Then came 2019 that was almost the same as 2018, and now it's 2020 where people are starting to buy crypto once more because of the negative effects of COVID-19 on the mainstream economy. Yet, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are still behind their latest ATH  (All-Time-High) in price. With BTC's Third Halving , prices should've been within the $15k range by now. Still, crypto is not the same as it used to be back in 2017.

Do you think that 2017 was the "Golden Year of Crypto"? Or is the best is yet to come? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

For me personally, 2017 was the best year and I was able to make good money on cryptocurrency. However, now the market is saturated with various cryptocurrencies, and therefore, to repeat the success of 2017, a lot of money and even more new users are needed. To be honest, I doubt it will get the same boom as in 2017. Of course, there will still be successful destinations such as DeFi that can create a little buzz in the market, but this is not the massive boom that was in 2017.

IMHO, I think its YES! because if we compared nowadays the 2017-2018 All-time high records have not yet broken, Despite in that reality we all know that the Crypto Industry was still young thats why I believe there's a lot of opportunities will come along the way and who knows that the 2017-2018 All-time high records will be broken. But until such time has not yet come I believe that 2017-2018 is a Golden Year of the Crypto Industry.

Year 2017 is indeed the best year for crypto so far. The coins drastically increase and reached their ath. Its a profitable year indeed, seeing our coins soaring high makes me think its a really worth it investment. But after that everything changed since the market turn bearish and bitcoin return to its lowest price at $3k. For me there's more to look forward in the future, we can reach the last ath again or even surpass it, well no one really knows but im still optimistic that it wont be long and we'll see  another bull market again.

you could say 2017 is the best, because the bounty goes so well and the payments are always on time, even faster or if it is only a few days late. In addition, price growth in the market is also significant, from the bottom consistently to the top and the peak at the end of 2017 before finally falling in 2018.
2017 is the prime year of crypto, where its momentum is really impressive and undeniably high. The market at the time is less risky as we can earn even there are tons of shitcoins, the popularity of airdrop and bounty. After that year scam projects appear, so lucky those who able to take too much profit from the 2017 hype.

I've missed that year badly man!
When some shitcoins were 100x from what they are now , I remember ethereum blue got 2$ then and now 0.001$ , everything pumped then , I loved it , was so much easier to make money out of crypto , this year is not bad too but in Defi section and yield farming!
actually that was 2018 when altcoin season happened, starter by ethereum in january 2018 hyping up to almost 15 hundred dollars.
comparing to the Defi season now?it looks like there are similarity but the thing is in altseason major currencies dominate the market.
But now?shitcoins are dominating the whole market things that very questionable and un trusted.

Here we go again, another Bounty story ..don't you have any place to tackle ?though in that same time so many scams start to happen, and in 2018
climbing high the scam cases in crypto coming from Bounty and ICO.

Their is no doubt that 2017 was a golden year in crypto but this year also included many scams too. So many shit projects raised fund during this period and you can't find now. Where the question is what's next? I can say there are so many pump and dump happing in the market and Its take afraid new commers to take entry in this market. Top exchanges are very greedy and taking no responsibility for adoption of crypto. So its really important to make people's aware about market and makes positive vibes about crypto.
