I just checked my wallet thru this new wavesexplorer and saw hundreds of coins listed in the assets, is there a way to find out which of them are real?
I can not believe I have some tokens about 200K of them but unheard some are known like Encryptotel but there are just long list of unknown ones. Is there a list of which are supported by the DEX?
Greetings. All of them are tradable on the Waves Decentralised Exchange and can be found via their assets id but there are some details which should be clarified. WavesPlatform doesn't require any KYC and additional procedures to issue a token. So, everyone can create it in a few clicks. Unfortunately, some users try to use their tokens for fraud or phishing attempts so all tokens which don't fulfill the rules mentioned when creating an asset, will be marked as Spam  / Suspicious and will be searchable on the Waves DEX only via their asset id. See more in our documentation https://docs.wavesplatform.com/en/waves-client/security/spam-transactions.html
Tokens which were mentioned by you with value 200k etc are Smart Assets and most probably they are marked as suspicious ones as well. Avoid such types of assets and don't get scammed or phished.
Also, there is a useful step-by-step guide with pics which describes the process of trading on the Waves DEX:  https://docs.wavesplatform.com/en/waves-client/waves-dex/start-trading-on-the-waves-dex.html

Waves Explorer 2.3 goes live! The new version implements Alias search, works faster, consumes less bandwidth and, of course, addresses minor bugs!

Try it out and give us your feedback: http://wavesexplorer.com/

was the VST distributed already?

it looks like i can't see the token in my wallet, do we have to do something to claim it? the problem with my wallet is that i have never touched my wallet for a long time. i tried login into it but it looks like i forget my password. i would have to look into the files i have where i save its details.
No, not yet.

It doesn't matter if you have not been opening your wallet for quite a while, what's important is that you have atleast 1 waves or 1 wct token inside. There have been snapshots everyday from Feb 1 to April 1. Check more about the terms here. No worries of forgetting the password if you have your seed in you.

According to a twitter post, they made we will receive 0.32832746 VST tokens for each WAVES and WCT we hold. They took the snapshot on 14 march

Really, what Twitter post? I thought it was an average over a period of a couple of months till April?

Hello, it is, but it is different and depends on the amount of WAVES on DEX. You can check your average balance here  https://vostok.wavesplatform.com

Best wishes,

Hey, under the portfolio page in the WAVES client what are these symbols (<>,% etc) next to the image of the assets?

https://imgur.com/yf9dVkg

Hello Anarchy101! "%" sign means that token can be used to pay transaction fee. Here's the detailed instruction - https://docs.wavesplatform.com/en/waves-client/assets-management/sponsored-fee.html
And "<>" sign is smart asset. You can find more info regarding this type of token here - https://docs.wavesplatform.com/en/smart-contracts/smart-assets.html

Sincerely, Waves Community Manager

Thank you very much for clearing it out and for sharing those links.
It's really good to see that we can use other tokens to pay for the transaction fees.
