My opinion is that Waves are not competitive Etherium. Terima the most popular and castaspella platform for new tokens ERC-20. And Waives the platform out of the unit.
Really Ethereum is the best altcoin! Waves cannot overtake Ethereum because ETH it has more community support and back up tie up with good companies.
Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"
Ethereum is King, Waves is ........ Roll Eyes. But lets be sincere ethereum is has more potentials and their forks tend to suffer a slow and stunted growth(ETC) 
Waves are not yet ready to compete with Ethereum. This project should be given a couple more years, that they would realize all their goals.
Man, this is very simple question to be honest... There is nothing now in compare to ethereum, even EOS or NEO or Cardano or Tezos or whatever...
I think Waves still will have a long read and really hard for Waves platform to get closer with Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum is always considered to be best choice platform of ICOs projects. Waves far, far behind ethereum.

I don't think that waves is a serious competitor to ethereum coin because it is so hardly falling right now and also it is almost 250 times less in terms of price. So capitalisation is also smaller. 
both coins are profitable and potential coin to hold for a long term,though the crypto market is volatile,ethereum is the leading altcoin and waves has great potential to rise high in value.
Waves has some potential, but not Ethereum potential. They got hacked, their platform is less popular. Investors are still there because marketcap is still quite small. I believe in Ethereum more.Ethereum is one of the most promising cryptocurrencies, comparing to Waves it is more stable, ETH has more peculiar features and, as far as I know smart contracts aren't implemented into Waves.
I also think that in general it is not necessary to compare such projects, because the Waves project does not have many serious achievements in comparison with how the ETH project is developing properly.but I think even so we don't underestimate the waves because it could be that in the future the price will rise

Smiles are you serious? I will go and check it out, but really it will take a lot of time for it to catch up 
Waves is too weak a blockchain. It is inferior to Ethereum in popularity and power of the network. And after the Ethereum network is updated, the Waves will not be able to compete with the Ethereum.
Waves does not have that much money inside of it. Having investments inside of Ethereum is a safer and smarter option.

Waves still has a very high mountain to climb in order to match up with Ethereum. A lot of new tokens have already chosen the ethereum blockchain to build their smart contracts and more will still continue using Ethereum in a long while to come. Etherium comes second to bitcoin. There is a lot of noise around but when you check the hard facts, ETH is still on top right after BTC. So, what's up with that?Aside from that, projects on ETH platform are coming in bulk. Trust is the word.
Waves is also great of course. But it is still on the process of establishing its reputation. It is still new. It is growing fast though.

still not, Waves will not be able to become Ethereum next because the price of Waves is still far below Ethereum. it's still too early for Waves to chase Ethereum while some people think Ethereum can beat Bitcoin means Waves is still far below Ethereum.
