Bounty's=Pre-Mine?

did you read the first post in this thread?

It clearly says, "We will be holding contests and bounties to help the coin grow. We will provide a WorldCoin address for miners to help donate into the Prize and Bounty Pool."

So donations=bounty's...

I'm already getting Orphans on this?
but seriously whats the point in releasing another coin with just some parameter changes, the pump and dump well is dried up your going to have to do better than just change the numbers and hope people like it's name if you want it to be successful. what ever happened to white papers? are there any coins from the last 2 weeks with white papers? At the very least you could wait till at least one coin dies off completely

Difficulty: Retargets about 8 hours

Any altcoin which does not retarget on every block is outdated. Just wait once miners push difficulty to sky and then jump off the chain, it will end as badly as FTC and FRC.
But, to be true, there is no need for Worldcoin. It would add nothing we haven't already seen or have available so spare your time and effort and just cancel the whole deal.

feathercoin is chugging along just fine, just a hiccup in scrypt world. Frc is dead for its own political reasons (Helllo wheres my foundation???)

In order for this altcoin to succeed you need to be a really shitty developer, you can't release binaries, and you need to fuck up the genesis block creation.

Sweet, I'm all in then.

Just follow theswede and you're ok... he would never jump on CNC created by guy with 6 posts or PWC created by guy who joined 6 days ago. Just do it and never have fears about consistency and lack of hypocrisy Smiley

Cause we are the Aqua Teens, make the homeys say ho and the girleys want to scream.

What are the chances of a guy named Milkshake AND Shakezula in the same thread?

Too bad he's taking a good name and not using it for something worthwhile. I was trying to figure out a "WorldCoin" where every human on the planet gets one coin as initial wealth distribution. A noble goal, but unfortunately not realistic Embarrassed unless somebody has an idea of how that could work?

Will every North Korean get one coin? Well, they will be ordered by the North Korean government to hand all their coins to Kim Jong Un, if the coin ever becomes valuable.
Will every Nigerian or citizen of Ghana get 1 coin, most of them don't even have access to computers?
And what will be it tied to? ID card? DNA? Fingerprint? How will you verify that?
And even if it were possible, a speculator who knows about cryptos would just buy milions of these who would be more than willing to sell it for $1.
In a poor country, $1 is a lot, so they would be more than happy to sell an abstract, "virtual" asset for something concrete like a loaf of bread.

Noble socialist idea, all warm and fuzzy, seem great at first, but when you employ logic and rationality always reveal their stupidity. Just like real life socialism (I lived in a socialist country for a short time).

Everyone would get one coin, also the North Koreans. They are humans too you know Cool
But indeed, it's not possible to uniquely identify everyone and "give" them a coin.

If a speculator buys people's coins for 1$ than that's a good thing, they all got a dollar!

I know it's at the very extreme of socialism, but you have to admit the current distribution method where people with the most GPU power get the most wealth is kind of a big problem.. I hope we will see some innovation away from the "traditional" PoW.

I don't agree. I think the current model is fair. Early adopter's advantage is fair. Someone who invests heavily or has the intelligence to invest early reaps rewards.
I don't agree with the socialist perspective that everyone "should have" some - it's a violent perspective that deviates from what is logical, rational and natural ...

GeistGeld has been running for years with 15 second blocks so it IS do-able, it just might choke up hard if it gets used a lot.

However so far there has not been much need for such fast block times so GeistGeld has just been humming along quietly in the background without seeing much use.

Maybe if there really is startign to be demand for fast blocks though GeistGeld use will pick up over the next while, and there will then be some incentive to update its code to use latest bitcoin code with the new database and so on.

Yay another crapcoin by another incompetent dev! Can't wait! Cheesy

I think we are close to the point when official clients will surely have trojans built-in.
I'm surprised this hasn't already happened, TBH.

So, what's exactly new about this coin? Faster transactions?
I assume it's another litecoin (scrypt) fork with soon to be bloated blockchain (and solves nothing in the end)?
