Better research first and compare the altcoins side by side. Read feed backs from other investors. If you put all of that in one altcoin, then you will become rich if the altcoin will succeed few years from now. But all of that are risky. Might as well split the half to other promising altcoins.

True, I'm planning to invest to ethereum by january because I think its price will go down after december then will hold it this upcoming 2018 onwards depending on how fast its value will increase.
I agree with you buddy I think in the future Ethereum could be after Bitcoin . But if you want to invest Bitcoin is still the best.

well,based on my opinion, I wonder if you can get rich through alt coins, sure you will earn profits but it will take a long period of time. If you want to invest, try those on what you think is promising, and invest on those that have cheap price yet and do not waste your money on those that will make you lose.try to do some research yourself. In my suggestion, I would recommend investing on ethereum since its price is getting high, also waves and minexcoin,they are pretty safe.Also bitshares,I think it will pump this coming 2018. any suggestions what will go very high?

Anything cheap as hell right now that isn't dead. There's potential aplenty in those couple-satoshi coins but there's also great risk. Wouldn't put too much into one coin but diversify in those.

I think that if someone know a altcoin which is sure make them become rich then they will never share for you. But i and everybody are till know a coin which will bring to profit for investors. that's Bitcoin
if you want to get high profit from altcoins then the best you should invest in altcoins which have price low than $1 like bitshare, dogecoin and Cardano....
Try BCH it will make you rich fast because price changes fast
if you want to have a BTC you have to have money but you can get BTC or a lot of money from collecting alt-coin that much, so alt-coin can make you rich

500$ is a good amount to invest as you are about to start trading so you should invest in some alt well the best alt is right know in my thinking is ethereum I see that its price will rise soon. Now everyone is going to bitcoin investing buying selling it but no one is very much interested in altcoins so if you invest in altcoins it will give your great profit. 
Try to invest in eth because the value of the eth now is getting higher and higher maybe in 2018 it will go up again.And keep on researching about the value of every altcoin so that you will know also don't rely on us.
I would say icos are the way to go for quick and big profit,yea its harder now then it used to be but still possible.Or find a coin that just got listed on exchange and ico investors are droping it on market to use this opportunity and buy those coins at low prices.This is called ico reversal and its a great way if you found a interested project that you missed during its ico stage sale,everex for example
