If I had 1 million dollars, I would never invest my money in an altcoin and don't make my money unsafe by doing this. I invest in BTC and when I got a profit. I would take out some of the money and invest it in an altcoin, even if it is a loss, I would not regret it.
There are so many coins and projects in the market so if I have good amount of fund, I will have to make more research on the kind of project or coins I will buy with the fund so I will be not make a silly mistakes that will crumble my entire fund. There are good coins like bnb and matic token I will like to buy more if I have the fund so I will be make more money from them. This project are very volatile and easily move up.

I would put my money in large caps like NEAR and IOTA, and a portion of it in microcaps like DRC and CNDL. Candle Chain specifically has the most upside because it is a new EVM compatible L1 with 0 fees that is engineered from the ground up to host metaverse DApps.
We have to be vigilant after the LUNA incident which dropped more than 99%, with $ 1 million then buy top coins such as BNB, Cardano, AVAX, MANA and so on, but I will use about 25% to invest in new projects because the profit opportunities are very large from new project.
If I have $1,000,000 in funds and have to invest in cryptocurrencies I think I'll try to split it down into multiple assets. I think ADA, Solana, Matic are good choices. That is a good idea. With 1,000,000$ in funds it's not necessary or recommended to invest in doubtful, suspicious altcoins. Better to stick with the currencies ruling crypto market, which at same time have a solid base, demand and reputation. Since OP asked for altcoins to be invested, I would probably would split 60-70% in ETH and 30-40% in BNB. Maybe for fun, I would select one more altcoin to invest up to 5% of the portfolio. A million dollar crypto investment is suited for Bitcoin and not any other shitcoins out there. It is easy x2, you just have to be patient and wait for it get to 6k USD again and boom there goes your x2. Good example of that is LUNA, look at it right now, if you still have the guts to after seeing what happened then go and make a choice already and see it for your self.

Are u serious? Invest $1m in altcoins? I wouldn't do that. If I have that sum of money, I would rather invest it in Bitcoin, not altcoins. The reason why we run from Bitcoin is because if the high price. Can you imagine how many Bitcoin I would get with $1m?
