I think Near Protocol is good , and have small trust in DOT but the Flow? not sure where did you learn this potential ? can you share some proof od something that will make us believe in its future?

in fact, if I had $1 million, then I wouldn't invest all that money in crypto, I'd probably be more inclined to choose real estate or other investments in businesses that I could actually control.
However, if the situation is that I have so much money, and have to invest $1 million in crypto, especially altcoins, then I will choose popular coins for that. Maybe I will divide the investment into 3 or 5 coins, and my preferred coins are ETH, BNB, XRP, ADA, and MATIC. it is the top 5 coins in CMC. However, if the opportunity arises, I also tend to choose Bitcoin, and that's where I tend to have a greater investment value than altcoins.

Huge amount seems not promising for investing in altcoin except with Ethereum only, I don't brave invest with altcoin if have $1 billion dollar capital and prefer for trading in bitcoin only. I don't think with small profitable when investing in Bitcoin depend price change under few percent only than altcoin has potential up and down more 10%. Not risk when investing in Bitcoin and recovery is real happening when price drop but can't guarantee when investing in altcoin will back to higher again one day later. I have planning keep save my capital when raising above $20k will invest in bitcoin only, have been frustrated when investing in altcoin have waiting more longer time back to higher price and very difficult to get the same price when first time investing. No matter for me with low profit return when investing in bitcoin than higher profit but higher risk are waiting for when investing in altcoin.

A $1 million investment in alternative currencies is unquestionably very risky in my opinion. However, a portion of this value might be used to buy these coins. Actually, I'm not a major admirer of alternative coins, though I'm not completely against them either. However, because they carry a certain risk, I'm not willing to put my entire money on the line. It depends on the market and my research knowledge at the time whether or not I invest in alternative cryptocurrencies.

with $1 million as an investment i think you should think about managing it professionally like those big business, its not gonna be ordinary investment anymore with that amount, if you invest in altcoins you will have quite hard time liquidating it
because such amount is quite huge that some times altcoin doesn't have sufficient trading volume.
I think wisest decision would be to put 80% of it into bitcoin since bitcoin increase with that much investment will definitely have massive effect while retaining the safety of bitcoin in term of volatility and the rest equally distributed among all the altcoins.
considering the fact that altcoins have higher chance of collapsing it just make sense for it to diversify further with the remaining 20% just in case because no one knows whats gonna be happening towards your altcoins in the future.

And then, leaving at least a third for altcoins. Because after all, the risk of altcoins is much higher than Bitcoin. Btw, losing money from a crypto investment is not only from the value of the coin. But from the security of our wallet. Just imagine that you save that much money in only one altcoin and then you lose access to that wallet, then this will really be detrimental.

The amount mentioned here is definitely not a small amount. So, when this fund is used for investing, we have to think about its security first. And so when one goes to make an investment, one must not buy any coin that is a threat to his fund. Alternative coins will not be secure for such a large fund, but if you want, you can invest in some top level alternative coins, but in this case, I think Ethereum is the best option and the best investment would be in Bitcoin.

This is no longer a large amount but a very large one. With funds of this size, you can choose more to invest. But I really agree that Bitcoin and Ethereum are the top priorities because, with the existing funds, you can get quite a lot. There is nothing wrong with placing potential altcoins such as BNB, ADA, SOL, DOT, and XRP because, until now, they are altcoins that are undoubtedly going to increase together with bitcoin.

  400k on BTC
  200k on ETH
  100k on KAS
  100k on ARB
  100k on SUI
  100k on ADA

Lots of gems in the market today but i do prefer with those oldies and a mix of new gens on which it isnt really that a bad idea
on bagging these projects and hold for long term. Reason? You could always see their use case.

If i need to choose one then Bitcoin would be the best choice and would be hold up for long term. Not anyone would be having that
kind of mindset though on which they would really be mainly thinking about diversifying which it isnt really bad at all.

If I had that much money i would never invest in crypto because the future is so uncertain here.

I will personally start a real business where my capital will be completely safe and the profit margin will be good. Actually op is just projecting his dream in reality no one comes into crypto market at first stage with lots of money.
