Which countries in the world do you think are the most peaceful and peace-loving?

In orther for the country to be considered as peaceful, it needs to have a very low crime rate. The countries that I know that has really low crime rates are Abu Dhabi, Japan, Iceland and more. Also, aside from the low crime rate, there’s also the good government officials.

In the United Arab Emirates and Japan, the punishments are quite tough, and that may be the reason why the crime rates are low. Also, the conviction rates are quite high in Japan (the Japanese police claims that they have close to 99% conviction rate). I am not sure why the crime rate is low in Iceland. One of the reason may be the absence of large numbers of immigrants.
Tough punishment for crime will determine everyone from committing any evil,Look at Thailands tough stance against the people who bring drugs into their country,  death sentence irrespective of who the person is. I applaud that judgement a lot.

Oh man, you need to check out the Global Peace Index! Find it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Peace_Index

Iceland has topped the list every year since 2013.

And New Zealand, Portugal, Austria, and Denmark round out the top 5 for 2017.

I've visited Iceland, New Zealand, Austria, and Denmark...all are very friendly, inviting, and jovial places to be. This ranking has been compiled every year since 2007. Check out how low ranked some of the G8 countries are...surprising but not shocking.
I've been in so many countries just because of my work as a seaman, but in my personal list of being most peaceful country are Japan, Finland and Denmark. I visited those places and met some people whom I really appreciated their well being to me as an Asian guy visiting their country.

Wow, that's an interesting list, thank you for sharing. It more or less corresponds to my thoughts. I would say Canada and Switzerland are the most peace-loving, and they are practically in the beginning of the table

Greenland. Low population. Plenty of land. Practically no crime. Then Iceland because It has no standing army. And the only time it's ever gotten involved in war is when it has been attacked.

I think one of the most peaceful is Sweden. Due to its neutrality it is able to stave off conflicts from other countries. And people are very honest there.
