Actually when I invest in bitcoin instead of altcoins, I do that to protect my funds because I don't doubt it will be higher in the future but there is lots of risk with altcoins.

The demand increase happening in Bitcoin comes out with the lessening of supplies making it for small traders to try and get a single cent out of Bitcoin.

I too get myself attached to bitcoin becausw of its great history when it comes to the market and value increase. We all know that holding is a great option aswell by holding it much more time.

Still I like to open in an new environment which I did so I work for some bounties to earn altcoins and see what could happend and it made me into marketing and stacks too.

Even so I love ethereum and bitcoin its easy transaction no hasel no fee. While bitcoin and ethereum is in my bitcoin software wallet which that is easy transaction.

Firstly that Bitcoin is the first coin, the largest and most popular amongst others, with a very high value beyond anything, I'm sure people will do it?
Secondly I do not really believe in some coins, the more it seems I'm sure there will be a lot of junk coins everywhere, coming between good reputation and coming soon after falling, thrown out by the pope after earning big profits.
Bitcoin will be greatly developed for the future, more and more new people and connections every year to adopt, I am sure, buying and holding Bitcoin such a method is very effective in the next few years.

Honestly in my long term experience in crypto world, altcoin trading is one of the reason why I gained decent numbers of BTC in general. Way better than putting money directly coming from fiat. People just need to enhanced their respective strategy to become a winning strategy.

I believe so.Altcoin investments can be so much profitable if you had chosen the potential ones because there are a lot of altcoins there that are worthless because their prices never go up.While compared to bitcoins,you don't need to worry if its price fall suddenly and resort to panic selling.Bitcoins are the most known and trusted coins in crypto world so learn to hold them for a long time and i'm sure you will really gain a very huge profit in the end.

Bitcoin investment does not follow the trend in other market and therefore provide a good tool for portfolio diversification, for example,if the housing market crashes, it will likely affect the stocks market,bond market and so on, but not so with bitcoin market.

Just like i do. I'm trying to earn satosi, not dolars from each trade. But OP asked why we invest in bitcoin rather than altcoins. So his strategy is more like "i have dolars, where to put them". I cant say to someone that bitcoin is better investition because by investing in altcoins you would have less bitcoins.

The reason I want to invest in bitcoin is over cryptocurrency because bitcoin has a higher value and what that cryptocurrency gives to the community is also very good but bitcoin has a long history of development and is more attractive to me.

this is a bit misleading though because you are looking at their USD value where in fact you should have checked their BTC value. most people are investing in these coins with bitcoin and don't care about their USD which is why whenever there is a bitcoin rise these coins keep their BTC value more or less and show rise in term of USD where in reality there was no rise.

for instance in case of LTC its USD value shows a 295% rise (yes it is 295% not 400%) but its BTC value shows -65% drop.

Reality is that bitcoin is more secure than other crypto currencies because it is most trusted and people keep putting their money into this coin. Slowly bitcoin is gaining more dominance over other crypto currencies and thus it is getting useful for its stubborn nature in the market. Now, if the market continues to grow like this then surely peoples choice would always be bitcoin all the time. I mean they feel more safer here because altcoins are ventured projects which may or may not stay there forever and may collapse if insufficient progress is there. So thats why its bitcoin always.

I immediately change my earning s from altcoin to BTC and this is quite alright with me. I noticed that when bitcoin starts to rise it rise immediately and steady but altcoins are slow risers and most of them remains inconsequential in price and sometimes abandon by their developers, making the investors to lose so much.

I never compare bitcoin to any other altcoin.Bitcoin is my only choice and bitcoin will get only stronger and better.

Bitcoins has the fastest growth in the market due to its popularity while other altcoins is not guaranteed to grow because most of their developers are scammers.

Bitcoin is more like the god of decentralization and the first of its kind. With that kind of huge support over the years and more support and development upcoming, it is sure one any investor would not want to give the first chance before considering any other. However, this does not mean investing in some other good altcoin project is a bad idea, but a huge percentage of them are just some form of distractions which we all know all they are good for is just pump and dump.

Exactly! I agree with this. There is no real intrinsic backing for a lot of these coins, just a bunch of bros in their basements with computers who think they can get rich quick. Bitcoin is not so vulnerable to manipulation so it cannot be pumped and dumped so easily. The large volume makes it more robust inevitably so it can stand on its own without swinging violently from top to bottom.

Hopefully we'll see some more coins with structure and vision to come. There are some honest investors out there who want to use the concept for doing good.
