I use ETH to buy ICO coins, some for long term investment, ETH coin which is popular after BTC, I think For ETH future is good prospect,

For ETH I trade in the crpto exchange and make more then I buy ICOs which are a good project with Ethereum. Recently I buy Bunny Token, Beats and eMTV for ETH. In ICOs market it is always a little more discount is given if pay by BTC and ETH. So, I always buy with Bitcoin sometimes but more for Ethereum.
now eth is the second popular coin after bitcoin. many participants join this forum because eth has many advantages and has good quality with experienced team of developers.

I used to do ETH coin mining using 13 GPUs, but for now, I use ETH as one of my long-term investment coins and buy gas in myetherwallet.com for transactions.

Most of the time we're using ethereum for the gas up of your erc20 tokens being sent to the trading site which you're going to trade your tokens. Like with IDEX you'll going to have enough amount of eth transaction fee in order for you to trade your coins listed on their site. All of those contracts based on ethereum nowadays were into an eth transaction gas like the gas which you're having in your myetherwallet. Without that you won't be able to transact your coins because of a gas amount as per requirement of etherscan charges.
