To participate in ICO's because most of the ICO's are accepting ETH, Mainly for long-term investment. and also for send and receive funds from friends.

Actually, I use my ethereum for all what you listed. I can't do without trading ethereum, buying ico is always done with mostly ethereum and sometimes with bitcoin, and lastly I used it as a form of investment.

I mainly use ETH for long term investments, I buy a small value of ETH and wait for its price to fluctuate higher than its value and then I grab it. It's the easiest way to gain profit and in my opinion the most effective one since waiting won't cost you anything but time.
Trading or simply investing in ICO. I always act on a situation where the market is not stable, then ETH is not bad to trade, but as for me it is best for long investments
