I have using my eth for buying some ICOs tokens and hold them in my wallet.
But as you know investing in ICO quite risky. There will be a possibility to lose your eth if you wrong investing your eth

My main aim of holding ETH is toake profit and to maximise that profit, I do whatever I can with the ETH I have, most times I trade, when I see a madly flunctuating coin, I swing the price, very lucrative if you know what you are doing.

I haven't used ethereum professionally which is what it is intended to do, more of an investor and bounty hunter. Ethereum is a source of GAS to transfer ETH based tokens so i need to hold some for that purpose. Otherwise, i'm more into different alts than ethereum itself.
I use for all, but more than 50% is for long term while the remaining 50% can be used for trading and ICO. To me ETH will always be significant in this crypto space.
