IMO long term contenders with lots of growth potential are VeChain, ICON and QASH. Market is currently in a bearish state though and the most safe "investment" might be FIAT at the moment...
I have been searching a lot this time and myself cant decide where to put my money on because there are a lot of altcoins out there and they offer different perks advantages i wanted to limit my choices so that i can decide properly and would not regret it.

I personally ask you to invest in Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin because this coin is decreasing now and by investing in this altcoin you can get a good profit and can invest well in altcoin this, but there is much more good altcoin to invest but I prefer the Third coin above
In the middle of June, the market trend is the same. Opinion of most is - to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum, but not otday, when the price is still affordable, lol.

I agree to you sir theres so many good altcoin in the market that have a chance to pump up in the next few month all you need is to research which of them have a real product, I must prefer to hold ethereum, eos and neo for longterm this is my big 3 altcoin so far, in ico project I see fantom as a good investment.

Search using their Contract Adress in ForkDelta or EtherDelta, sometimes you will get very cheap price of that token. Try to buy as much as you can and remember to analyst their project is good or not. When the token hit the big market you will get nice price to sell 
It's really a high risk doing that type of investment, finding good project from ico is quite a hard thing to do, but if you will be able to make it then the gain is really huge, we already seen a lots of stories about gaining a large money coming up from ico token who became successful when hits the exchange.

The only valid suggestions you can use are to invest in stable coins, the rest Depend on time, project, personal choice and situation, where you have the swiftness to move in and out.

For me, until now bitcoin and ethereum is still the best coins of all and the best for investment, because until now they can maintain their status that they are still lead to market in terms of exchange value and all aspects, this is my preferred for my long term investment only.

For example, I divide them in two categories of 1) Coins in Top 10 and 2) Undervalued Coins

2) Undervalued Coins

- SCL
- JNT
- REM (Recent addition)
Thank you for that choices it means I am capable to choose what kind of coin that I am going to have in my wallet although their are different kinds of coin but it differs in the value itself. It can guarantee that coin you will use will be able to function in the industry or community either for consumption usage or transactions.
To invest in a coin means that the investor believes in the coin and it's potentials. It means that the investor has followed through the coin and know where the future is moving so that he will invest and wait for returns.
