Other than eth, definitely bitcoin. Athough, there are also some coins that have proven their worth and are actually good for long term investment and these are litecoin, avt, and ripple. I see great potential in these coins and though their value drastically dropped due to bitcoin’s dip, still great profit will soon come.

If I have to choose the best coin which I like, I'd rather choose Zilliqa (ZIL) because it has a platform similar to Etherium but it improves more than ETH about speed transaction, bonus blocks and the more nodes the faster
CPX - An already established B2C and B2B consumer information company is making a blockchain that pays you for your consumer data. It’s a NEP-5 token. Market cap is under 100 million now but I could easily see this going into the billions.

I liked EOS after I liked Ethereum. Because I see that the rapidly growing EOS is able to attract enthusiasts and attract many investors. This is marked by increasing EOS developments. I am stalking the said coin and luckily the Developer did mentioned his plans to make this coin popular within a certain time period. Right now I am not profiting from it but come five years when it will be something
It seems to me that now those coins, which aren't connected with the ETH blockchain, will be perspective ones in the nearest future. Coins based on ETH bore people to death. I like Litecoin over ethereum because of its innovative money transaction facility which is more safe and more faster then ethereum. I like nimfa token too but they don't have market exchange and its only listed on etherdelta
I like litecoin because it is a good alternative for bitcoin and it is created as the silver version of bitcoin and because of litecoin, I can do transaction for faster and cheaper compare to bitcoin. The other coins I like besideds the ethereum are the ripple and bitcoin cash. Ripple has a good performance and have a possibility of make the future cryptocurrency

Invest your money on utility token such as:
1. Prl (Storage)
2. Neo (Chinese Eth)
3. Wpr (Energy)
4. Iota
Each has specific timeline of when the pricing might skyrocket. I sincerely think that more and more utility tokens will be available on the market but having this 4 token will surely give returns in less than a year.
For me the coins that I like besides having ethereum are the bitcoin cash, litecoin, ripple, neo and eos because of the fact that investing with those coins will really gives you the opportunity to earn and gain more than twice your investment. And also they hold the top spots of all the coins.
i really like IOTA is on a 3rd generation blockchain called Tangle, which has a high scalability, no fees, and instant transactions. IOTA aims to be the connective layer between all 80 billion IOT devices that are expected to be connected to the Internet in 2025, possibly creating 80 billion transactions per second or 800 billion TPS, who knows. However, it needs to be seen if the Tangle can keep up with this scalability and iron out its security issues that have not yet been completely resolved.
Litecoin: Little brother of Bitcoin. Bitcoin fork with different mining algorithm but not much else.Copies everything that Bitcoin does pretty much. Lack of real innovation.

No other than bitcoin, it is the most abundant altcoin other than ethereum. However, it is also the king of all coins that's why it is very popular to everyone and many like bitcoin because of its market value.

I will suggest some coins that I like besides ETH, however, it does not mean it is a great coin now. They are NEO and WAVES. Because their price is still low and have potential to grow, I just need to wait for the price to rise again so I can earn. Moreoever, I also believe that these coins can give tough fight to ETH in the future.
I prefer Ripple Guys...Ripple closed the 2017th year as the most effective crypto currency. It retained its value, even when other tokens recorded a fall!!
Ripple NEO WAVES I think these coins will soon become very popular, and perhaps even more popular then Ethereum
