That's actually a step up for the industry but it will only surely be a hit for people who likes changes within gambling since most people are really stuck on the traditional way on how they can earn money from Gambling. Change is still good though once properly thought of and nothing can go wrong by trying something new. Skill games would need to have limits since people can hone their skills by playing over and over with the addition of luck. It would be a good change and hope for people to embrace it.

Skill based games are great but only as long as I am assured that the game is being fair to all players and I am not betting against a robot or a script that is made in such a way that I would always lose.

I often play chess with people online and make small bets with them on the game and people cheat a lot when money is involved so you have to be very careful when playing skill based games because you might have even lower chance of winning than luck based games.

I would actually love games that have an element of luck and skill both involved for example fantasy based sports where we can pick players and earn points on how they perform and the top points player wins.

I don't consider casino slots a type of skill game. It's still a form of gambling where luck plays a big part to win a game.
Skill games for me are like chess and game that they play on esports where it takes years of practice and dedication to compete at a high level.
If casino slots were skill-based then many people would be rich by now. And even if you win I'm sure it's either by luck or you already spent tons of money first.

I think it's awesome to know that there are ways where results are based on skills rather than on chance. It just simply means that one needs to acquire the required skills to make profits.
Although this means that it is no longer gambling because gambling has always been a game of chance and there's a always the probability of winning or losing.
However, I'd rather play the game depending to my skills rather than subject my fate to chance.

There are many existing gambling games before that are skill-based. If we are talking about gambling, It doesn't mean that it always needs to be in a casino for it to be called gambling. One of a skill-based game I know is a shooting game and it is existing many for many years now. I think you have a wrong idea about gambling, It's not always a game of chance, A simple game can be considered gambling as long as it has any kind of risk in the table like monetary or personal belongings.

Then the skill game is not for them who have not much skill on the game. They always avoid it. But what I think skill game will be more enjoyable than the traditional slots. Because for skill game player does not depend on the luck. They will what they are. So it may be more enjoyable I did not play though. But curious to play if have any chance in the future.

Basically all types of games will definitely be in demand for some players, whether it's traditional slots or skill games in gambling, luck is the main thing. I love chess too. It would be awesome if the betting market for chess would be bigger. The esports community came a long way in the last 5 years and offers so many opportunity for gamblers. Even betting on low tier matches is not a problem anymore these days. I hope the chess market will evolve in a similar fashion in the future. Definitely would enjoy betting on some more games.

At some point, chess is one of the greatest board games for me and eventually, it is being used to gamble for something in the old era.

The skill games that are talking in here are poker games and chess where you use your skills and strategies to win in the gambling game. I guess MOBA games are out of the skill-based gambling category.

It isn't a gambling game if there isn't any luck factor involved imo. Sure, some gambling games may have skill involved like poker, but that "skill" is mostly just judgement based skills, not really a skill that influences the result, like whether you're an idiot or a genius, if the final card is a 7 of hearts, that's it, the only change would be the result you'd achieve, which is either a win or a loss depending on your judgement. Skill-based on the other hand, as long as you're able to achieve a certain level of skill, a win is guaranteed, which makes it not a gamble anymore.

Not saying that gambling games is better or not, just that skill based games deviate from the core of a gambling game, which isi luck imo.
