I don't look at the USD loss, only ETH/BTC value in my altcoins... If I lose a lot in BTC/ETH value, than it's time to panic... but never panic sell, just get out of alts that have no future and buy some more promising
When you are experiencing loss you should just wait, have patience and hold on to your cryptocurrencies. Instead of selling and incurring the loss just hold on to the coins and sell them when the market goes green again.
This is a very correct decision, I do the same. To sell coins now and lose money is stupid. The market must start recovery sooner or later. 
Until the bitcoin recovers, no growth in altcoins should be expected, altcoins strong grow only 2-3 times a year but can make a lot of X. HODL, don't sell it.

Getting into similar situations is the norm, for such a playing market as crypto-currencies. Personally, I'm playing for the money that is ready to lose irrevocably, for this drawdown, even 50% of me do not worry. Practice shows that growth will be inevitable. Just need to wait ...

There are several options for action, the first is not to panic and wait until the market returns a little, option 2: sell 50% of the tokens that are not at the bottom and buy new more promising coins, now is just a good time for investments.

Because most of the coin you bought are shitcoins,you didnt do a lot of research before getting these coins that is why you ended up pretty badly.So its on your bloody hands not ours,doing investments should be taken seriously because the market of cryptocurrencies is too volatile that is why we need to pick those coins who wont give us much headache when bitcoin has started to move wildly. Try to forget about your coins for some time. Ideally, you should have invested an amount which you were ready to lose, so log off for some time and forget about your investment for some time. Hopefully, by the time you return, the coins will have recovered somewhat.

You seem have a hard time to deal with it. The best thing to do is to hold it until the value goes up. Coz, it won't benefit you if you sell it now. Just wait, even it takes long time.
Give up trading and focus on the learned profession. It is obvious trading it ain't'.
When I started trading I lost a few deposits because of the wrong trading strategy. I was afraid and did not trust crypto. But then I got experience and realized that I should not sell coins with loss. I need to wait a few weeks or days and the coin will go up again. Resume: in order to successfully trade you should have a lot of patience.
You're so naive when it comes to trading! What do you expect when you become a trader? Do you expect that all of your investments will stay on their heights? This is market man! There's always be sorrow before happily ever after, if you get it right.
if I was in your position then I would hold my coin until the price recovered. I will be patient in trading in order not to sell my coins at a cheap price, I will hold the coins I have until the end of the year because at the end of the year all the coins have increased prices.

To me, that is really normal. But it depends on the altcoins you invest. If you invest in small altcoins and lose 50% of your assets then you should sell them right away, small altcoins will not help you improve your capital.
But if you invest in bitcoin, you should keep it all and do not sell. Because bitcoin is the king of the crypto market and never collapses. Be patient and profit will come to you.

Just hold it like you said and stop over thinking, be positive. It will just stress you out if you keep on looking at it. You already learned from your mistakes in the past and at the moment you already know the answer. Our market will definitely bounce back and grow we should just wait.

I also experienced it when buying MTL and TRX which decreased by 50%.
So until now I still hodl because convinced the future price of the coin will rise up again after the market is more stable.

i think when the market starting to drop too much, loosing 50% to cut loss is not a good idea, instead the only option is stop making any trades and waiting until the price rise again in the future, we should not too rush in selling our coin to cut loss, it will be worse than you think when we cut loss.
