It will depend on how I intend to use them. Better to make appropriations for those that you are willing to hold for long periods of time, say hold for 6 months then if you've reached a certain value that is good enough for selling, then it's time to sell. Then have a some more for say 2 years, then 5 years.

Selling on regular interval is good for the future of bitcoin, if we keep on selling then we will be seeing much better price of bitcoin in future, but right now holding is the best thing.

LOL, hyips.  Those are absolutely the worst place to put your bitcoin.  You'll lose 'em all.

I just let my idle coins idle, as I'm one who thinks just holding bitcoin is an investment.  The bitcoin community is just loaded with dishonest scammers, so I wouldn't trust any of these investment schemes that you see on this forum.  Even lending here is super risky.

Exactly be safe and play safe hold your coins till the halving rather the playing with it in a horrible manner, as only holding for few months can give you good profits so why to waste this opportunity.

Holding is good but holding it permanently is a waste of time as I keep on selling my coins when price goes higher and if I am earning some profits then I will never hesitate in selling it.

I have some coins idling around in my wallet but I cannot bear to put it in hyip or risk it. But it is a waste to let it idle around. Yes. I have coins in some "lower risk" hyips to generate some interest which I'm prepared to write off. I also have some coins converted to hashing power in hashnest and BW.com but it has to be monitored else you will suffer a loss instead.  Grin

Unlike fiat currencies, I cannot park these coins into banks backed by governmental institutions. I put my fiat currencies in banks or blue chips but I cannot do it with cryptos.

So, what do you do with your idle coins? Let it sit around?
i have no idle coins,i have simple step to make it not idle, just buy anther to sell all your idle coins. i think idle coins will not good if the price keep down and down, ussually idle coins is scam coins or coins which have not good dev.

Just wating for smth, don't really want to spand and don't know when to sell. Maybe i will sell it after halving but i don't really belive that price will reach a big point this time.

I think when halving is coming, the price of bitcoin will increase but not so high. Maybe around 1-5% or more. So it's time to hold your idle coins, like me too.

I think price will be much higher then your are expecting, I believe that price will be almost double at the time of halving so selling at that time would be a better option.

Every user can make prediction but in reality anything might happen with the bitcoin price. Bitcoin price will get doubled if we see the gradual price rise towards $600-$700 before the time of halving.

No one can predict the exact price of bitcoin before the halving or at the time of halving as it is very unpredictable and anything is possible at the time of halving.

Indeed, everything is possible there is even a chance that the halving will not let the price rise.
Right now I'm pretty positive and I think it will let the price rise, my idle coins are safely stored for the halving because of that.

I didn't hold much in idle. I'll always put most of my coins for trading or it'll be converted in to paytm balance OR it might be on some open orders on any exchange. And i'll also hold some amount for some emergency purpose.

You have to be careful when trading especially when there's going to be a huge rise, you don't want to be stuck in dollars. Tongue

I save all my idle coins and let them grow safely in real-world investment porfolios (that are denominated in BTC).

This is not high-yield investment programmes (HYIPs), as I think those are too risky.

Invest globally with bitcoin. Wealthfront for bitcoin.

It isnt a good idea to hold coins for too long. The price just doesn't growm it drops, and grows i think when halving is coming, the price of bitcoin will increase but not so high and wait until you ready for cashout Smiley

I think if you do not have any other plans to grow your idle bitcoin. then the last selection is hold it in his wallet and wait for prices to rise. but it would be better if you grow it dude

Yeah try to trade if you are good with it, as keeping only idle will not that profitable, as we are not sure when the price will go higher, but if you want to play safe then just hold it.
trading it is better than hodling it in our wallet imo. It could rake more profit, but also has risk of loss. Still i would chose to use it for trading than to hodling it.

Or spent it so bitcoin market could grow.

It depends on the reputation of the exchange. If the exchange is bad like cryptsy or mt gox, you will lose.
