Both are great coins , I like both, I use btc to change to fiat and save it, while eth for investing in ICOs, I can invest in ICo easily and automatically earn the tokens directly to my wallet, Since most ICos use eth platform , I think holding eth will be valuable.
I prefer btc. Because btc is the base or the origin of all cryptocurrencies, and when it comes on transaction btc is easier than Eth. But eth is become a powerful ,and i thought it is more expensive than btc.
People always said that ETH will be the next Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is having major updates, will ETH will launch into the moon, soon?

but i will go for Ethereum
because Holding coin in bitcoin is too risky,
as it manage to go have a huge pump.
i'm still expecting that someday BTC might
get a huge Dump.
while in ETH you can say you can
be secure with its small ups and down price.
and stay stable .
which means you can earn profit or
hold its opportunity while Eth is still stable.

Eth is different thing to bitcoin, so it won't replace it as they have different uses. Eth is for smart contracts, btc is basically a store of value and the gateway to alts through trading pairs. They will both survive and prosper.
For being number one in the market and has continuous price hike, Bitcoin is really unbeatable. But Ethereum for having the smart contract which is accessible and convenient to the users, Ethereum will never be last.

I think you're wrong. These are different projects for different tasks, they do not compete with each other and develop in parallel. 
Bitcoin. Ether has found its path in Ethereum smart contract platfom including it's future discovery and endeavors. Bitcoin on the other hand has become the poster child of block chain. Bitcoin is my choice.

I think ETH cannot replace bitcoin but ETH has good potential also for investment so if you have tight budget to invest then I think its better if you will choose ETH.
I am more a fan of ETH because I'm fascinated by Buterin's work and the success of his platform. The only issue I have with bitcoin is he constant updates and FUD...

BTC is the most stable of all cryptos and the one that started everything out there. ETH is the new good player that has joined the team and in time it will become as stable as BTC. It all has to do with time. After surviving that long, BTC is an established currency globally. That will happen to ETH too and possibly to other cryptos that are already here or those to come. It is just like fiat currencies dollars, euros, yen etc. that took them some time to get recognized and accepted from everyone. Especially, dollars domination started only after WW2. In currencies applies what can't kill you, makes you stronger. That's why BTC after China's bans lost its value only momentarily and now it is again on high prices. Always look in history to see what comes in the future.

I prefer ETH because ETH as a smart contract and has its own blockchain will become bigger than Bitcoin in the future. This can be seen from many projects with new ideas using ETH platform that will increase the demand. Vitalik Buterin as the founder of ETH is also very genius to develop its platform to be more useful and more interested in the world crypto community.

It seems to me that both these coins is dominant in the market and the Ethereum increasingly consolidating their positions. They do not dominate each other and develop in parallel.
If you look at coinmarketcap, Bitcoin is still dominating in the 45%+ over the market. Ethereum momentarily took that away from bitcoin at its inception but other than that bitcoin is the go-to. It's the most stable out of all the currencies and basically is the standard for what other currencies trade into and out of. That means that it's the closest to fiat currency, which is incredibly stable, which makes it stronger. I don't think ETH will ever replace BTC, although the transactions are pretty quick so sometimes I use it for that. But usually I don't really care and pick Bitcoin over Ethereum.
Well for me there is a chance that other coins including ethereum will overtake the lead of the bitcoin someday, just like what happen to the social media site called friendster it is being overtake by facebook and other platform of social media sites.
I would choose BTC because of all that it has done
I’m more for Bitcoin, though I hold Ether as well. If we’re speaking about a long-term investment - Bitcoin is better (that’s entirely my point of view). And as for Ethereum, I think you would earn fair money with it in a short term.
