I don't think selling all bitcoin in the bull market is a good idea. Why? Knowing the fact that the next bull price will still come as bitcoin continues to grow, so I don't think selling all my bitcoin in the bull market is the best.
I'm a bit confused by these two statements, they are somewhat contradictory. So what does the OP think in essence? Is that the best way or not a good idea?

.....now, when finally, the bull market  comes should I sell all my bitcoins and prepare to accumulate from afresh in the next bear market again? or should I keep some percentage to continue the accumulation?

It's actually an individual preference. Because after all, sometimes everyone has different targets. However, in my personal opinion, I do plan to sell my Bitcoin assets, all during the bullish era. However, this does not rule out the possibility that I will do it in several stages of price increases. so that I won't regret it anymore or miss a moment. In this way, the hope of taking profits can at least be fulfilled.

However, the next highlight or concern is that there is a certain portion or percentage to be prepared for when it is bearish. And buy or accumulate Bitcoin again. You could say it's like planting when it's bearish and harvesting when it's bullish. And of course both have their own risks.

Everyone is holdle bitcoin in the bear market and planning to sell in the bull market, now, when finally, the bull market  comes should I sell all my bitcoins and prepare to accumulate from afresh in the next bear market again? or should I keep some percentage to continue the accumulation?

In theory it looks easy, we only need to hold bitcoin until the price of bitcoin rises and buy again when the price of bitcoin is cheap but in practice it is very difficult. We don't know whether the current price is low or high, we don't know what the lowest and highest bitcoin prices are. So deciding when to buy and when to sell is also difficult. However, many people use the DCA method to buy bitcoin and the DCA method can also be used to sell bitcoin

That's for you to decide. For me, there's no wrong if you decide to sell all your bitcoin when bull run comes in exchange for significant amount, because you have all the chances to buy back again and maximize your purchase at a very affordable price when the market turns bearish. Remember that there's no such word as hodling forever, because the main purpose why you invest is to reap maximum profits and now that the opportunity to do that is right in front on you, then savor that moment. Don't be scared to sell, as it's the only way that your hardwork and patience from long term hodling will finally get paid off.

On the second thought, if you wish to sell only some portion of your bitcoin and leave some of them for future profits, then that's also a good choice. At least, you are preparing yourself for the next bull run, and rest assured that if you just continue being unbothered by its price fluctuations and remain patient and understanding on the market volatility, then expect that you will still reap maximum profits in the next bull run.

I cannot say everyone but obviously, most investors prefer to hold their bitcoins right now since the crypto market is not doing well and the price of bitcoins is not high. Therefore, it is obvious that they will just simply wait for the next bull runs since most of them have multiple sources of income, they don't really need to rush and sell their BTC. while others might be not interested anymore because they need quick money due to certain problems that they have personally. nevertheless, right now is not good to sell rather you just need to be patiently waiting for bull runs probably next year.

If selling all of your Bitcoin during the bull run will make you happy and satisfied, no one can take that away from you. But as usual, we still want to hold Bitcoin after that because we know that every cycle, the higher price of Bitcoin comes. And if you decided to sell everything then you have to make sure that you don't regret it or if you do, you'll have to wait for another bear market and then just acquire some of it from that profit you've made. It's also a cycle where many just repeats what they do like buying again when it's cheaper then taking some profits during the bull run, rinse and repeat that's it. Another one is that you can sell in a DCA mode. Just like how we accumulate in DCA, you can sell some portions of it for every price you think is good to sell so you still have some BTC remaining on your portfolio.

For me personally unless I do need something to buy or want to get profit for now and buy it again when the price dumps if I have the accurate info then I would love to do it. But I guess people mostly will just hold it if it's on bull market and if people sells their stuff then probably they just follow whatever people are currently doing or following the influencers for most of the cases, otherwise they will most likely do what I said earlier.

Some people do not sell all their coins because of bullrun, it only the freshers in bitcoin can sell all what they generate in bitcoin  base on the profits they make for the investment, but each of the investment have methods
So it's good for you to watch your investment and have a target of when to sell out you bitcoin during a bullrun, so I believe that investors who knows tye conditions of investment doesn't sell out all their coins at giving point in time.

I think trying to find the peak is not an easy thing, but also not selling at all is not a smart move neither. I think we should realize that the best thing we could do at this point would be just having a ladder type of selling. That way, if it goes up then you keep it holding but if it goes down then you keep on selling, that way you end up selling it all before it reaches under ATH again. The logic is that if you reach 68k, and then the price goes above 68k for example lets say 100k, then it starts to go down that means you are going to end up with under 90k and sell it, and then sell it like that and all that we should be something that would be smart, and before it reaches 70k, you end up profiting.

Either ways it's up to you, depending on the situation of the investors, if they choose to sell all their Bitcoin it's not bad at all, assuming you buy 1 BTC for 28,000 in this bear market and you hold till Bitcoin reach 120,000 and you start taking profits, and you maintain your patience into the next bear market, maybe by 2026 then Bitcoin makes a new low around 20 or 30k and you buy back Bitcoin, you will have more Bitcoin than those that refuse to sell theirs.

Like I've said it's not a bad idea at all, which ever ways you decide to go is fine, profit making is profit making, not getting  any profits in return is the only bad part I see as an investor, I choose to sell all mine and wait for the next bear market, everyone is free to do whatever they want with their Bitcoin.

So far the past histories of Bitcoin bear market shows that Bitcoin always makes a new higher low, in 2020 it was 3,800 or less, I can't recall again, and this time it's 15k so far, maybe by match of 2024 Bitcoin finally make it down to 12k nobody knows.

I would not sell at this time, I know that the price is not bad, but it could be much better and unless it is an emergency I recommend that you wait, because things may change in these months, we are almost at the end of the year, the Things can be for the better, it is not because the price is going to a better side, but I do not recommend that you sell, on the contrary if you can buy a little from opco and forget about that investment it is much better, otherwise if you Selling will stop winning and that is sad, it has happened to me that I have sometimes had to sell bitcoin, and then the price goes up, then it is better to do other things and save.

Everyone has different approaches to this and this depends on the information available to them. I had always said that I will not sell all my bitcoin if the bull run happens but then I am also having double thoughts about this. Maybe if I should remain, it should be about 20% of my portfolio. Why I am no longer a fan of leaving large portion of my bitcoin even after the bull run is that I have discovered that I could still rebuy during the bear market.

For instance, the last bull run took us to a height of about $69k and the bear came to the region of 15k. This means whoever sold at 60 and re-bought at 20 made a good decision. No matter how high the bull run will take us, the bear must surely present us an opportunity to buy again.

Looking at the past trends, the BTC price -after- hitting an ATH, dropped significantly in the bear market, so you will always have the chance to buy back more Bitcoin than you previously had, but this whole process will take 3 to 5 years to complete, and you have to be patient. The price has always revisited certain targets in the bear market. It is important to note that one should not sell their Bitcoins at the very start of a bull run and try to sell a small amount of BTC at a time (targeted price). The biggest risk, I think, is if the price won't drop to your selling level. I am of the opinion that you should hold some Bitcoin for the long term, sell the remaining during a bull run, and buy back at the dip.

How do you figure out the exact ATH? If you sell too early you will regret your decision and there won't be any point in buying back the asset. What I think is that you should make a long term target that you will keep accumulating bitcoin for the next two bear seasons. When the market rally up you won't do anything if it makes a correction you will keep accumulating. After 8 to 10 years you will see that you are a wealthy person.

I'm not going to sell my bitcoin in the bull market, but I'm not going to tell you what to do. We all have our own understanding of bitcoin and our own goals.

My goal is to have bitcoin as a backup money and spend what I earn in fiat money and what I have in the bank.
Over the years I reduced the amount held in fiat money from around 50k EUR to around 3-4k, while maintaining my bitcoin. Unfortunately (or fortunately) i received an inheritance that boosted my fiat reserves, so I can continue reducing fiat holdings for another couple years until I get down to a satisfying amount and let my bitcoin grow.

Some of you will be in a different situation, some might need fiat money right now or next year with no ways of getting it. In such case you might be forced to sell some bitcoin.

Your point about keeping some bitcoin for accumulation is valid. Balance matters. Selling everything during a bull wave may be tempting, but bitcoin's true value is its long-term adoption. Investors are distracted by market timing claims. Consider bitcoin's future and make judgments using intuition, analysis, and foresight.
If the ultimate goal is to make a profit, isn't it reasonable for someone to sell BTC during a bullish market? Investment is all about how to make money from buying and holding activities. If you keep buying and holding, even when the market is bullish, you'll never reap the rewards of what you've sown. Have you not prepared for your retirement? Or are you investing for future generations, willing to endure hardships for your children who may not necessarily use your assets wisely?

For me, accumulation will continue before selling BTC at a bullish price. We wait for the market to turn bearish again to start accumulating once more. At least there's a cycle for us to enjoy the fruits of our savings, even if it's just a little. I call it self-reward.

Time in the markets > timing the markets

You should never do all-in or all-out when you are entering or leaving the markets. Always sell/buy some and observe the situation before you make your next move. There is always a chance that you are making the wrong move and if you get out of the markets completely you may miss an opportunity. What if the prices go even higher after you get out? You shouldn’t take a risk like that. Timing the markets is not a good idea usually anyway. Waiting it out is a lot less stressful. Staying in the markets will also make you wiser and the longer you stay in the game the better choices you will make in the future.

Actually your strategy is fine, it is normal that everyone's strategy will be different. Anyway it totally depends on the person what his strategy is. But the main point here is that no one can tell when the bull run will come and when Bitcoin will touch its new all-time high price. But yes it can be guessed by looking at the past history. So in this case, I think it would be a good idea not to sell the entire fund during the bull run.
However, as a long-term bitcoin holder, when you should sell, you should also keep an eye on these aspects or have knowledge about this. Because I think the best strategy is buy in dip and then hold and hold and then sell on bull. In this way if long term investment can be done with proper knowledge then I think it will be better to sell in bull season. Because when Bitcoin goes to dip, it will not be bad if you can buy it. Even then, as we are holding bitcoin for long term using DCA method, in the case of selling, even if you sell in your strategy, I think the possibility of risk will be less.

All of crypto relies on speculation, anxiety, and emotions. Holding onto bitcoin during a bad market shows faith in its potential. Selling in bull market? Short-term gains generate that emotional play. Lets explore market behavior's complexities. Bull and bear markets dont guarantee peak or bottom pricing.

Well, it is true that it is not correct to sell all bitcoins in a bull market. But in fact, if it is seen that you have bought bitcoin in the bear market and when the bull market comes, then you have to earn profit by selling bitcoin instead of your investment. So under this theory, if someone sells all the bitcoins, then there is no hesitation.
Yes, but the obligation is that when you sell your Bitcoin in the bull market and book profit, it is important for you to wait for the opportunity in the next bear market and buy Bitcoin again at a low price. Because Bitcoin will be beneficial in a bull market when you have bought it at a low price in a bear market and then sell it in a bull market, take the profit to the side, and prepare to enter again in a bear market.

So the meaning of the saying is that you will not sell Bitcoin in the bull market and will sell it for profit. The terms of profit are that you buy Bitcoin at a low price and sell it at its peak, i.e., the new ATH, by booking profit.

-snip-
and even during bull and not selling I just wonder what else the person is looking for after making a profit is there anything again, but everybody has their own decision over their assets?
-snip-
Everyone has their own price target, even if the market is in a bull run if the price target is not reached then they will not sell.
This is more of a long-term investment, not a short-term trade where the price will eventually be reached.

A long-term investment with a target price may be at the next ATH.
So when they don't sell during the bull run, it means they haven't reached their target.

In addition, some effective risk management is also needed to maximize profits and avoid big losses when the market is bad.
