It's one of question which differs from person to person. How do you define richness?
From most people I have read, the view of wealth is relative and it is very subjective, talking about wealth then we also talk about value, and everyone judges something differently depending on their mindset, experience, knowledge and desires so that they can conclude themselves that certain objects are wealth.

However, most of us generally see wealth as having a lot of money, being able to do anything, owning many businesses and living in economic prosperity. I agree that it is wealth without denying that people who can choose their own path of life and have a different view of life, and bring themselves closer to philosophy even though they don't have a lot of wealth but in my opinion they are among those who have very valuable wealth in their lives.
A simpler view for me personally is when someone has something rare in him, then I consider that person to be a person who has wealth.

I guess nothing, no expense ever, no problems, no troubles would ever be out of your affordable range. That should be more than enough, from sickness to breaking of stuff, from houses to cars, like not being out of your range is such a big deal and should be important.

Obviously even if you are a rich person, if you end up spending carelessly then most likely that you will be bankrupting, I keep saying that even Elon Musk could bankrupt, if he keeps on purchasing stuff like Twitter and keep ruining them, he could bankrupt.

So that means we need to be careful with our money even if we are rich, but nothing in the world would be "I can't afford that" anymore and that would be considered rich enough for me without a doubt. I get that rich people may sound different to you, but anything that is even slightly better than me feels like rich to me at all times, no matter how much I earn, 50% more of that feels rich, so just being able to afford is easier answer.

Being rich means wealth in terms of having a lot of money and assets. Being able to earn six figures or above in a year, owning multiple businesses, owning cars, and having a big house where you can live comfortably. It also means providing yourself with everything you want, like you can buy everything around you. Every material possession you think brings you happiness.

Always remember, the meaning of being rich depends on the status of a person or how they see life. It may be about having a lot of money, or about having connections with people around you and experiencing the joy, happiness, and fulfillment of your life.
That's not rich, that's already an excess and luxurious albeit that's debatable. I don't know about you but material possession bringing you happiness is probably the saddest there is because what's that gonna fulfill? Pretty sure that you're going to be ending up wanting more material things. I agree with the last part though, we almost have the same definition in regards to that which is nice.

For me though, the definition of rich is being able to afford something without looking at it's price tag and having the ability to do your passion or the things that you want to love without the worry of where to get your next food or how you're going to pay the bill.

It's one of question which differs from person to person. How do you define richness?
When talking about the definition of wealth, each person definitely has a different definition and it depends on each person's desires. Because if we talk about the meaning of wealth, then wealth will definitely never end. Because after all, everyone must have unlimited ambition regarding wealth if it is motivated by lust.

Then if the definition of wealth you mean here is financial. In my personal opinion, financial wealth can be interpreted as having very abundant assets, whether in the form of money, investment assets such as gold or bitcoin. The clear picture I had in my mind was like that. Because if we talk about the meaning of wealth from an economic/financial perspective, it is definitely related to having wealth such as a lot of money and assets. So in my personal opinion, what is meant by financial wealth is having a lot of money or assets that are enough to support my entire life.

However, if the definition of wealth you mean here is seen from all aspects of human life. In my personal opinion, the meaning of wealth in the overall context can be said to be about happiness of the heart and mind. Because if the heart and mind are happy, then life will also be happy. And to get happiness in your heart and mind you don't need to use things that smell like wealth or position. But with simple things, sometimes the heart and mind can be happy. Therefore, in my opinion, happiness of heart and mind is the most important definition of wealth and includes all (complex) wealth.

Being rich to me defines ones contentment and ability to be independent. It also has to do alot with ones financial prowess.
In some instances it could be used in context to refer to ones natural gift or talent and how sufficiently such a talent flows.

In all, being rich is more or less a mindset and it works for those who think they are rich. I believe am rich even though I don't have enough funds right now, but am hopeful and I know it always pays to do so, mostly with a good investment portfolio/management.

It's one of question which differs from person to person. How do you define richness?
Being rich for me simply means, being financially able to buy whatever one wants or needs, being rich does not necessarily mean a life of no challenges both financially, for i personally have come to the terms that, as long as man is alive, there will always be problems, wants and so on, these problems could include financial problems, health problems, family problems and so on, but the good thing in being rich in the midst of this problems is that, the financial means of seeking solution is already available. Take for example, being sick, when one is sick, he or she needs money to access a proper health care services, without money, this becomes very challenging. Even when talking about family problems, when one is faced with family problems, they need money to see a consultant in family matters.

Majorly, every problem associated with being alive has the part that requires money to fix, even money is required to give a dead person a befitting burial. So, in the end, being rich for me is being able to financially own or get whatever one wants.

By rich we mean financial support. How rich a person is depends on how much money he has in the bank and how many businesses he owns or how many private companies he owns. The difference between rich and poor is usually considered through money.

Through a person's income and financial support, the economic status of people can be divided into three groups, one is the lower circle, one is the middle class, and one is the upper class. We consider those who have to struggle to provide food for one meal or who have to eat one meal and not eat another meal as low class. Middle class means if some money can be saved with monthly income money then we can consider it as middle class and upper class is those who have huge bank balance and multiple sources of income. Basically this is how people's positions are calculated.

Sometimes I always have difficulty defining what rich is. But I have an approach to defining richness from my own point of view. But I will divide the types of richness itself into two categories, namely financially rich and emotionally rich.

Financially rich may be a condition where we have a lot of money, unlimited income that continues to flow even without us having to work and of course we can buy the things we want and need at once. Have a lot of investment in all fields and we live happily.
But emotionally rich is when we can have wisdom in managing emotions or all things that involve emotions. Including being a benefactor in it. The point is that we can understand other people's feelings well so that we can always respect each person.

Rich is where you feel enough with your daily needs e.g. foods, place to live, afford to buy clothes, have a party etc. Having a party and afford to buy something like clothes are daily needs because you need a self reward and entertainment to enjoy the life.

It's not necessary you must have a big desire e.g. buy super car, have a big house etc because that's really hard to achieve and not everyone can have that.

Of course, there are many versions of how we view rich people and the responses will definitely be different.

They can be said to be rich because they can meet all their needs and don't think about hunger, of course they have lots of running assets, meaning these assets can produce income every month. They do not work for other people hoping for a salary, and they do all investment instruments without fear of losing money.

Even though many people say that wealth is actually happiness, for me if all assets are invested without fear, I think that is the true essence of happiness.

Simply that you don't stop doing anything you would like to do because of lack of money. Keep in mind that this is relative, because if you have aspirations like buying an island or a yacht and filling it with models to accompany you, it will cost you much more to feel rich than if you have more mundane aspirations. Things like there are a few days left until everyone gets paid and if you feel like buying clothes, filling up the tank and inviting your girlfriend to dinner can be part of that feeling of wealth.

Of course everyone will have their own sensation in terms of satisfaction, and they will do something that will give them the sensation to confirm that they are rich people, as you said and maybe there are some of them who will spend large amounts of money to buy islands or yachts, none other than that they do just to confirm and admit to themselves and also maybe to others that they are not ordinary people.

The point is that the feeling will come back to each individual's high or low satisfaction, because after all there are also many who are rich but live quite simply and not excessively. This is quite related to the pride that exists in that person too, and if they are one of those people who are always simple in life even though they are rich then maybe they will only confirm to themselves about the wealth they have, because real wealth does not always have to be known by many people.

It's one of question which differs from person to person. How do you define richness?
Rich in my point of view is a condition where we feel enough with what we already have. Which means we are satisfied with the achievements we have obtained. A healthy and strong body and soul. And we no longer worry about income. Because sometimes being rich can't only be measured by the number of assets we have. But also in other things such as health and morals. Because there are many out there who have a lot of wealth but have not found peace in their lives. Because he always feels lacking in what he already has.
But if we narrow the perspective of being rich only in financial matters then that means we already have financial freedom. Because for me, people who don't have financial freedom cannot be said to be rich people.

You've got a peace of mind and you've got no problems with whatever you want to purchase. You've got assets coming from appreciating assets up to the generating income assets. I think that you get what I mean with that because aside from having money, you're also having your sanity being preserved. There's nothing better today than having a peace of mind. You may have all the riches in this world and yet you can't sleep like a baby because of all the stress that you're thinking everyday coming from your job, from your business, from your family and from anything that will give you that trouble that will just consume your energy, your peace and even money.

IMHO, what I like in modern day is we've got our own definition of being rich. And that's the beauty of the differences of our minds. Majority will tell that everything is all about money, money and money and I won't argue with that because we all need it. But having the other description from others of what is richness to them is interesting and I'm sure like mine about having a peace of mind and as well as having no trouble having money is a combination that we're all wanting.

Individuals ideology on this subject differs, for any person to be classified as a rich person, I think you ought to have grown to an extent financially, not necessarily in your physically currency but in net worth.
If am to say a person is rich, first of all his investment in different sectors or diversity should come first.
If you can afford almost everything you desire without much stress, I can say that you are rich because being rich lessens the stress an individual encounters in the pursuit for whatever they want at any time.

Your views and opinions are okay but to me I feel being rich isn't only about having lots of money and assets but the ability to employ people in an industry or an establishment in other to  enhance your business and also to create a platform for people to earn a living through your establishment.

It is important for us to know that no matter how rich and wealthy someone is without people benefiting from you through establishment that will bring about employment opportunities to people, then you are only wealthy to yourself and your family as your wealth isn't circulated.

Now for instance, Aliko Dangote who is the Richest man in Africa has some establishment such as the Dangote groups that has aided lots of individuals to benefit and be employed so these are things that needs to be considered when naming people who are rich and wealthy, not some kind of selfish individuals that only thinks about their personal interest and opinion. As in the number of labour force that is working under your company or industries should also be put into consideration.

In my perspective, rich is someone who has succeeded in achieving financial freedom and has also succeeded in achieving all his/her dreams directly. btw, I also once asked my partner what his definition of rich was, he said the definition of rich from his perspective was having a complete family, having a big influence and contribution to many people, especially those who really need help. For most people, rich has different definitions, some even define rich as having no debt at all.

Like People buy Bitcoin, see the price increase, and feel like they are getting rich quickly..

These are all true feelings and obsessions.

This world is strange. Grin Grin

Lol... Well everything can blow up in their face just when they think the bull run will continue the next 24 hours, weeks or months but before you say jack, the next our comes the unannounced retracement until you see you have gone back to where you came in from. That was what happened last bull and might repeat again for some wanting to hodl to riches.

Anyway, rich is the known and established status not the process  ongoing waiting for bull run. However, people who can afford what they want at any point classify themselves as rich.

However, depending on what someone is talking about, there are various characteristics that can be used to characterise wealth or richness. I believe the original poster intended to refer to financial wealth, however wealth can simply be defined as having anything in abundance, whether it be materially, monetarily, or in any other way. The definition of wealth varies from person to person because various people interpret it differently, but for me, being wealthy is having enough money to meet one's necessities and wants without actually worrying about how much money one has spent. A person is wealthy if they are comfortable, have peace of mind, are able to afford anything they want, have access to properties, money, and other exceptional things.

I always prefer to stick with those less materialistic ways of defining richness. I'm a hypocrite if I don't admit that I'm running after money in one way or another, but I'm still convinced that beyond material possessions, it should be the genuine feeling of comfort and satisfaction that count more.

-snip-

I know of individuals who have much more money that many others but who cannot seem to stay at ease because they've got so much expenses and so much to buy. It seems they're living a poorer life than those who don't have much beyond their simple yet decent living but who are very much satisfied and can sleep soundly seconds after lying down.

I couldn't agree more with you. To me richness in life has to do with freedom, both financial but also mental. If you have millions but you have been educated to need more no matter how much you have, you will always be a slave.

On the other hand, happiness has to do with material resources, because the lack of them leads to suffering and both concepts are exclusive. But once you get enough to live (the base of Maslow's pyramid), it has more to do with your values and beliefs.
