That is just a typo though.

The sentence there should be,"If you can control yourself, still, try to limit yourself from gambling since despite you saying that you are just playing for fun, for excitement or for the money, you are still losing money and time in the long run.". I know that people are having a hard time controlling themselves in gambking so they better find a way to limit themselves like keeping a record of their bets or just bringing enough money to gamble.

Gambling in it context can't be define as a general acceptable definition but as individual definition. You define what you think about gambling as well as others. But into this case, gambling to me is: an avenue were you can easily relax your mindset while having fun, being that, am defining gambling in the context of womanhood.

Most of my gambling these days are now be done on sports betting due to the covid-19 lockdown. As we'll know sporting is a career and when you understand your team; then go for it, winning is sure except if the game go otherwise. During this lockdown, I have made some good cashout and not regretting my involvement in gambling.

I think for me I see gambling as an entertainment with a high chance of earning with great risk. We can chose to bet more and win more/lose more. It is some sort of entertainment for me but with the knowledge and desire of winning the game too. We can't deny that the entertainment we got from it comes with the great desire to also win it. I think the difference between me and a compulsive one is I know my limit, I never go beyond, I control my funds and as long as I achieve the limit, I can still afford to stop.

I think we all have different perspective on how we see gambling. I think the meaning of gambling also changes when a certain gambler already focus on winning and getting back what he had just lost. It is also possible that it means profit for some, however, achieving profit in gambling comes with higher risk. That's why hopefully I don't want to see gambling as a profit for myself.

We can have a different meaning or perspective about gambling but I think we will all agree that gambling includes risking. For me, [gambling is an activity where we risk something valuable to us in exchange for winning or acquiring something that is also valuable].

We can have an objective and subjective definition of gambling depending on our experiences. And what I have said above is the objective meaning of gambling for me. While subjective thoughts, gambling is for leisure and entertainment. I find gambling entertainment and a way to pass the time. Gambling is not a bad activity, it only looks like a bad thing because of how people can be affected by this if they cannot handle their own emotions and desires.

If you treat gambling as an entertainment, you are on a safe side, that means you are ok with your allocation and you can go home losing and even put a smile in your face because you fun playing.
If you treat gambling as something to make a business and profit out of it,then you should prepare to allocate a huge amount of money and take a huge risk of losing everything in one game.

This doesn't make sense at all though I think what you are saying here is "can't" and not can since you already said control then again you said limit which is confusing to read.

And I hope you stayed on that path, my friend. A lot of people I know said that to me and most of us were addicted to gambling after some years. You should be able to think what you wanted to do and go straight to it, don't make a right or left turn to gambling, just go straight to what you should be doing and what you should want to do.

Yeah the same with I only gamble when I'm bored since gambling right now is one of the best option since we can't go out due to quarantine.

Here's my brief definition,

1.) Gambling in general :
Pretty much everything in life is gambling, because there's nothing more certain than death and taxes lol, and everything else is like gambling where the outcome is uncertain but only hopes for good at the end of the day.

2.) Gambling by your own definition :
Is the unnecessary spending of your resources hoping to find pleasure while earning more resources, but has also the chance of lossing everything.

Different people have different definitions when it comes to gambling. Maybe some defines gambling as a way for them to get some money quick. Some may say that it is a way for them to relieve stress etc etc.

For me, gambling is a way for me to be excited whenever I watch games. I don't really mind about the meaning of the meaning if they lose as it will only make other gamblers feeling more broke when they think of the meaning of gambling. I experienced the same thing, it only made me think of the money I lose before and I could have use it to buy things that I needed rather than losing it all.

Well, I learned to gamble when I was 10, and it started with me playing games. It is a bit of surprising, right? Someone learning it from playing with his friends. At first, when I learned it, I thought it is something I could walk into so I can help my parents since at that time we have no house at tall. We are risking smaller money to get big money in exchange for that smaller money that we can use to make our lives better. But the risk here is not always the money, but also the gambling itself. Right now, gambling is a dark classroom to me where I reminisce a lot of things that I've done wrong and learn from it one by one.

Gambling for me is just merely for an entertainment only and we can't deny the fact that we sometimes lose ourselves when experiencing a lot of losses. Thus, we want to enjoy by seeing ourselves winning and not just giving our money for nothing and that my friend is an entertainment. We pay for fun.
