It's my life.... just kidding man.  Grin

Well, as I ma matured now, gambling has only been part of my entertainment, I did not put a lot of time just to gamble as I know it will not bring good result to me if I am too attached with it, of course I learn from my past experience.

If gambling will disappear, I would still live my life as normal, so its attachment to my life is not really strong compared in the past.
Just like now, sports are halted but I don't force myself to still gamble with other games, so I have that discipline and control already.
Experience is always been the best teacher in all aspects of life, not only applied on gambling but in all sorts. We do become more mature as we experience
more things in life.I admit that i commit some mistake towards gambling and make myself a little bit addicted to it which in result to spend up way too much
and come to a point where i do compromise life savings which is really a dumb thing that do happen because of my decision to let my addiction control me.
We should do thing moderately so that it wont really affect that much because gambling is really just intended for entertainment purposes.

mean to me ? nothing really different than you  .  im just a typical person/gambler  . like most gambler i play purely to earn but i think every gambling session you can still experience a fun .

escpecially when you are profiting  , this means you got lucky . this also means that your gameplay extended so more fun.  idk if there are other definition of gambling aside from profit and fun but if there is , i think those people are not ordinary gamblers anymore.

Also I choose gambling as an entertainment as well. Because I'm not an addict to gambling, I can leave it and I'll come back when I want to play. Maybe it is because I only try to play dice gambling no more than that, I never deposit to bingo, casino and etc. I just comfortable when I play dice gambling especially with in its simple feature, just put my money and see what the result.

You can define gambling according to your own, it is free to describe as long as you know and has been played it for more time. Because I see the definition of gambling will be depend on someone's experience, I mean you will know gambling and tell to anyone what gambling is and how its positive and its negative against it. But you will just make a bad statement about gambling if you never play it or just tend to see the negative impact of it.

1. I wanna ask you guys are there any other definitions for you about what gambling is?

What do you mean by "other definitions"? You mean to say, self-definition?

This will vary per person. As to my own purpose is to always get winnings if possible. I'm not into gambling for entertainment purely.

2. What are/is the accurate definition of gambling on you based on the definition above?

You already stated the general definition of what gambling is. That's enough.

From personal experience of mine
* Gambling for me is something you have the chance of winning the prize or any value, if there is no chance then you're not gambling. Gambling requires that there is a chance you might win something for your bet.

This statement confused me, are there any forms of gambling without a chance to win? Or can you give me an example of what are these things?

Obviously, when you gamble, you always have a chance to win either between 0.00001 to 99999+% success rate.

Gambling is betting with an amount of money for profit or loss. If you are lucky, it will be fun. If you do not feel lucky, it will be just greed!!  Angry The best in gambling is control. And The worst is also the addiction that will make you pay the price, so be careful.

1. I wanna ask you guys are there any other definitions for you about what gambling is?
2. What are/is the accurate definition of gambling on you based on the definition above?

To be honest base on my personal experience, gambling will only bring ultimate loss to the poor people because this is one of the worst addiction they can have if they don't stop playing it. because when they lose, they will just look for money to play again in any means or source. I have known some people who work as a laborer about 10 hours a day just to lose his earnings by night in gambling. the worst thing is, some of them are they also lose their source of income, they will sell everything they possess just to play again. You never know what these guys can do if they really have exposure to this kind of scenario and the last thing they do is steal some money or things to sell, just to play and again just to lose.

All of the definitions had already been mentioned so it wont be that necessary to repeat on whats been said above.
When it comes to definition then it would really vary into each person because not all would really have that the same insight or views towards gambling.
Some would really just be for entertainment but majority would really stick out on money or profit making which is the real fact most of the time.
In the first place, gambling is for the sake of entertainment but due to other benefit or chances that it can give then people are
going in the other path.

Sometimes money is a very important part of gambling, but not all the time. For me personally when I win, I love the feeling of winning as well, I am not saying I do not care about winning money, obviously I do care about that as well, but that doesn't mean that I will not care about the win side neither, they are both equally important to me, one in financial sense, the other in spiritual sense.

I gamble because I like spending time with it, I gamble because its fun and entertaining, I have plenty of free time in my hands and I do not want to watch netflix all the time so sometimes I want to gamble in order to have some fun. Not everyone plays for the same reason obviously, everyone has their own reasons, but do not consider money to be reason for everyone.

If gambling is only for screwing oneself despite having spent a lot of money I think it's a lie still true you say the purpose of gambling is just to win with entertainment then gambling players are often stressed when they lose a lot because they realize after losing all of them and therefore looking for luck with gambling I think this is not appropriate if the main income.
I mean, gambling is also not the main reason for making money but this game is played to get a winner among other gamblers if it is played in groups and what you will get if you win is a prize for you and some things that make players entertained are challenging games, competition between opponents, great efforts to win and when you get a prize.

The average is now gambling individually -snip-
Only because of the influence of the pandemic, it is very possible that gamblers can only do it individually because of the prohibition of gathering.

You wouldn't care about its meaning if you are winning. Most of us just do it. We gamble we don't define it and gamble.  Is the question sometimes asked by the therapist who councils an addict?   Grin

If you risk your life to something like you know there will be consequences to this action does it mean you are also gambling? this doesn't involve cash or coins.

It is a way of life.

We are all gamblers.

Most of us just don't know it yet. Every choice you make at least has a bit of gambling in it.

You don't have to play a game in a casino to be a gambler. It is all about how you make your decisions.

Basically, any decision you make without prior proper research is gambling.

If your choices always get you what you wanted, you are very close to be a non-gambler.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
For me gambling is a game played by individuals, a group of people who involve money either against the machine or against other individuals with the aim of winning the amount of money at stake. Gambling can be considered as a medium for entertainment but despite all that I think the goal is only one, namely to get a win with money in return.

Even though we know that everyone here has a different goal, we actually have to admit that winning is what keeps gamblers entertained and defeat will only make us disappointed.

The average is now gambling individually because there is no house for open gambling now maybe at night when the guards are more then they can play together.

* it is the activity or practice of playing at a game of chance for money or other stakes.
* the act or practice of risking the loss of something important by taking a chance or acting recklessly.
These are accurate and with what I've watched on the news, tv shows, and documentaries but actually happens in real life. Even land titles, businesses, and wives are being staked. Those are things that the dictionary accurately identified.

When a gambler losses all the money he got inside the casino and he wants to keep moving, all the important things that he can stake will be at staked. That's how powerful our emotions and goes to the point that we can't even control it.

^ All the definition that was mentioned above really refers to the definition of gambling but for me, gambling is a game of entertainment where money or anything of value will be at stake for a chance of getting the higher value of money or prize at the end of each game without money or anything of value that will be at risk for the chance of winning will not be considered as gambling. It is somehow similar to trading, it differs from the level of entertainment you may get and how serious you will take your chances. This is how or why people become addicted to gambling and not trading. Gambling may cause different results to people whether it is positive or negative because some players lose but still happy and satisfied because of the entertainment they gained in gambling but either positive or negative results will only be appreciated depending on how the player perceived it. Nevertheless, consequences matter at all.

This is plagiarism, you should post the source link whenever you took from other people opinion/definition/content. Even if you have mention the source, you also should post the source link too [Dictionary] , [Gambling Comission]
How could you tell it as plagiarism if I didnt use any source from google on that part. Its may own definition of gambling and not on that link. Yes, its somehow the same but I didnt get it from that link. Its my own opinion about what gambling is.

I look at gambling as an entertainment or a time killer since i'd have a session lasting for a few hours and it would felt like a half an hour. I used to treat it as a form of profit because back then you'll find a few good opportunities to make a profit in casinos but now that i've moved to sports betting I could experience both of them without spending as much.

I don't call myself a gambler because I don't gamble every day, and I don't use my most time to gamble. I used gambling as another activity in my free time, and I don't stay for a long time in the gambling places just to playing gambling games. I know consequences and the risk in gambling, so that makes me limit my money and my time. Gambling, for me means playing some gambling games to have fun and enjoy my free time, but I will stop anytime I want.
You don't have to gamble everyday to become a gambler, if you've gambled once or just from time to time I think you can be a gambler since there are different types of gambler based on their activities(casual, hardcore, etc).

My personal definition of gambling: Gambling is one of the ways of testing fortune with entertainment.  Grin

Personally I take gambling as entertainment and use it passing for free times. I never think that gamble will be one of my income sources or I will be dependent on gambling. I think it is only for doing fun and everybody should think like this IMO.

I don't know what is the correct definition of gambling. But I think this line is a better word for it.

From Dictionary:
* it is the activity or practice of playing at a game of chance for money or other stakes.

Personally, gambling is more like entertainment for me. Like it or hate it it's fun to win money on gambling! the excitement and the thrill of every winnings are fun! Making gambling as source of income or rather making it as a quick way scheme to make money is almost impossible. Yes! some people are doing that but they are one in a million only. Gambling should entertain us and it shouldn't destroy our lives.

The other options above are sad but some people treat gambling like that. I think as long as you are responsible on your own decision you will not regret anything in gambling.  Smiley
