Hi.can someone tell me if KYC is ok ? what could be the effects of doing it especially in bounties/airdrops, they are requiring to pass KYC before joining

For me KYC is fine as long as the project is legit and legal, don't just give your information or passport to anyone be sure that the project is real, also some ICO or bounty require KYC for Legal Purposes just be careful

For me to be honest i dont think KYC is required when it comes in ICOs unless you are a big and trusted project, because i think maybe they will steal your identity.
So many scammers have been stealing the identity from the bounty participants and then they are selling it on the darkweb. This sucks consider there was only less than 5 percent of trusted project. It sounds good but at the same time it can become a boomerang. Will better to put easy KYC verification.

I participated in many projects that required KYC, but they gave me almost no valuable rewards, so I have stopped my behavior now!
I see that you still learned to trust and verify the information you are reading on the forum, because now there is a very high probability that your documents that were previously sent to KYC were sold to the dark Internet.

The general sentiment is people do not want to participate in airdrop or bounty that require KYC because they all knew that, it's not safe and there is a risk, it's very rampant selling of data and personal details in the dark web but it's up to the participants what his preferences.
That's true, therefore we should only invest on projects that we trust and comply with the KYC requirement.
Selling date is happening actually but if you are just a ordinary person, there is nothing to worry IMO.

no, you have to do KYC after the campaign ends to get rewards from your work. and if you don't want to do it, you won't get what you do during the campaign. but not for airdrop, airdrop rarely involves KYC in every free tokens distribution.

In my opinion, the effect of KYC is to reduce the interest of bounty hunters to carry out prize campaigns, and they will definitely look for projects that do not use KYC. So far, this KYC procedure has not given me a prize because I have participated in a bounty program and used KYC. After I graduated KYC and until now have not received compensation.

KYC is giving away your total personal data ,that's why I don't join airdrops or bounties that requires KYC because its a huge risk and no one is going to give you the guarantee of keeping my personal info safe. Now every bounty managers are following same footsteps except bountyhive

It gives nothing to me, but for ICO it is SEC requirement.
You know, sometimes they pay more money to approve bounty participant than to pay out him tokens.

still a reasonable thing if KYC imposed for investors in ICO because it's real customers. However, if this is put in place for bounty and airdrop then becomes a question for what it is. that doubt is when it's misused to things that are not supposed to because the identity of the KYC is quite valuable.

Be careful, many scammers require KYC in order to steal your data. Before you pass the ICC, make sure that the project is real. As a rule, the KYC gives the right to payments in the company, or the opportunity to trade on the exchange. Ask yourself if it is worth it.

I think it will be worth it to provide our personal data if it is for a trusted project
like the blockchain that is now collaborating with Stellar and providing free XLM for all users who have successfully verified their ID

KYC checks give nothing for headhunters except headaches, while taking away a lot of nerves and health. Now many ICO projects in a hurry are beginning to do such a check without some preparation, hastily, in the ICO process or even after its completion. There are no specific, clear and clear forms to fill it out. Even in this project, whose signature I wear, they offer to undergo a KYC check by filling out a form to buy their tokens as investors, and then click on some button “send a KYC check”, but I don’t find such a button. Therefore, we have to be nervous, because I have been participating in the project for three months already, and if I don’t send KYC, I won’t get any earned tokens. Who needs it.
In general, I consider any KYC checks against bounty hunters to be illegal, but if they are carried out, they should be carried out only when joining the ICO generosity campaign, as some require the provision of information that is sometimes impossible to imagine. For example, proof of place of residence at the specified place of registration, but not all live in the place of their own registration. Many study, work, temporarily stay and live in other places and cannot provide such evidence. And there are many such cases.

KYC simply means know your customer and its done by most ICOs in order to know the identity of all their investors and ICO bounty participants. KYC is just a means of verifying identity in order to be able to buy token during ICO.

Now KYC companies are often requested, although it was not registered before, as a result, you are left with a choice-to lose your tokens or send documents. Then with the passage of KYC not recommend the use of a passport.

no, we are just a way to make it difficult for bounty hunters to get paid. from the very beginning of this regulation, I strongly disagree, we should only be for investors because that is the goal.

For me, as for a bounty-hunter, the KYC is a pretty useless thing, first of all, I think so because I am not an investor of the project, and therefore, by law, I should not be subjected of such checks and this should be clear to everyone.

I will never take part in an Airdrop that requires KYC, because I find it pretty useless. But it could be very helpful to detect cheaters and scammers during bounties, because a lot of people are using multi accounts to trick the team.
Many of those who use multi-accounts or bots have fake documents, downloaded from the Internet or purchased in the black network. So KYC to identify bots or multi-accounts are considered ineffective. Recently, a large number of KYC is associated with the increased regulation of the cryptosphere by the state.
