KYC can sometimes be very dangerous if you do because you have to give your identity and surely it will make criminals easy to commit criminal acts and your identity is very sensitive so when you do KYC just for the airdrop or bounty campaign as well as you don't do it because it's very dangerous.

Hi.can someone tell me if KYC is ok ? what could be the effects of doing it especially in bounties/airdrops, they are requiring to pass KYC before joining
applying KYC is not always the same, sometimes they require KYC to get tokens, or when you register as a bounty participant on their official website,
this will be fine, i have never heard bad news about misuse of KYC documents

KYC if I think it's very good because they have a purpose to avoid account fraud. And if you don't agree, of course, you can look for Bounty or Airdrop projects that don't use KYC. I think there are still many good projects and do not use KYC for payment of benefits.
The KYC verification has nothing to do with reducing cryptocurrency fraud. If you mean reducing the number of multi-accounts in ICO bounty campaigns, on the one hand, KYC checks should not be conducted for this purpose, but on the other hand, if desired, multi-accounts can provide data of their relatives and friends with their consent and thus successfully pass KYC. This is a very big price in order to fight with several accounts on this forum and a great folly. KYC checks should not be carried out for bounty hunters and especially at the end of the ICO. This is precisely the fraud on the part of the ICO teams. Some bounty hunters simply cannot physically provide certain required documents, such as proof of residence at the place of registration, since in many cases we will not live at the place of registration. In this case, after we do our work, we learn that we lose the right to receive earned tokens. Of course, this is a direct fraud.

as far as I know, the kyc hunter bounties are needed when the bounty campaign is finished and when the tokens are distributed, and also in my opinion kyc has nothing wrong, kyc is enforced to ensure that in the bounty campaign nobody cheats like using a bot, so if it is bounty campaign requires kyc just do it for the common good.

We already know what KYC is for but we have to be cautious about where to send our personal info so it won't be used for illegal activities.
KYC for airdrop and bounties is I think not that necessary unless they give hundreds or thousands.

It's good that they require to pass KYC before joining, here you can think about it or not, sometimes companies announce the need to pass KYC is almost at the end, that's when it's a shame.

I don't join any bounty campaign, what ask participants must do KYC to join. I think you should not give your information to receive back a few cents. We don't know what they will do with our information.

It is quite risky if you are oblige to provide your personal identity in every bounty that you are joining especially in a very easy task like joining an airdrop. If the ICO is scam it is dangerous that they might sell your information to others.

If you are a general investors and you are giving your KYC to a legit project, there's negligible risk and you don't need to worry about anything.
KYC is generally asked for verifying your identity if you ever been suspected of money laundering or funding terrorists.
But fake ICOs are also collecting your identity and selling them off to people who would use it for illegal activities and hence dragging you into trouble.

KYC is sharing of personal  info which should not be given as it can be misused as in the bearish market more and more projects are being not completed .

I stopped participating in this airdrops with KYC, I don't see any point of participating because of you don't give your personal info to total strangers for just pennies, it's very risky and you are going to regret it later, the internet is a very dangerous playground to play with.

KYC is not OK. It doesn`t give to us anything good (that is just rule for some ICOs). As I see, that the KYC is a big danger for all of us (investors and bounty hunters) as we don`t really know where are our documents

Do check diligently if its worth it, if it airdrop and you are going to get a few dollars of their token that you didn't know is going to be the real value in exchange for your personal details that are going to be sold in the dark web then think wisely if this is what you really want.

KYC has never done me any good. Waste of time. For campaigns where there is no tangible reward, I wouldn't mind ignoring the KYC process.

Kyc is one of the requirement that has always been ask for us to get our rewards if we are one of the bounty participants in the project campaign. Aside from that it is also required in most of the exchange for us to get our profit also according to my understanding too. But honestly, I'm not agree with this rules but I do nothing due to I need profit.

KYC doesn't give me anything. This is an extra loss of time and effort. but many companies can also be understood. it reduces the risk of fraud

KYC is totally not okay in cryptocurrency generally and  completely unnecessary when it even comes to airdrops and bounties. I can't imagine compelling someone to do KYC for just $5 airdrop.

I think the kyc of a thing have a bad contribution to the crypto project than the good, like we already believe that there are of scam coin out there trying ripp people off their money so why creating more chances for them to go deeper by have your information in the name of kyc, some people will be tell you it's good if the project is legit now tell me how do you know if real it was.
So I think we should avoid that if not, I heard of a Chinese boy sell over five thousand 5k kyc required details to people. Can you imagine
