I never had a lot of money, but with the investment in altcoin I began to earn more than 10-12 times on normal office work. The truth is now the market is sick and I personally am waiting for a good rise of their coins, and it will be.
The reasons why I want to get into altcoyin is that I hope for a multiple of my cost, hoping to find the next coin that grows faster than bitcoyne. Since bitkoyn is now a pretty high price, it will be less likely to x10 or so. On the other hand, an altkine can be much cheaper and more room for growth. Just like Neo, which jumps from 8 to 60 dollars for a week or so earlier.
I think its just gambling to make an investment in coin, but you need to know what the project was and how the coin will develop in the future, is it wil bring good impact to the world and people, and we must know about the team background, I think its more secure if you invest in the project that you know about the background from the team
Mostly the concept and the team encourage me. Additionally, I have been always doing the investigation of the altcoin dynamics. If I understand it will cost much more in future, I invest into it.

Firstable depends on who is the company behind working on that particular coin, and their team members, CEO, engineer etc. Another factor i look what's their plan, what product they are working on, and what is the benefit of that product etc. However, These days you just can't invest depending on the white paper.
Before you invest you money make sure that one of the token is great and worth it to buy,you can know this by making research about their project and also to see if their team was active to eagerly wanted a succes in their project.

You can try to read between the lines and find out whether the people behind the altcoin are sincere and seriously working on it. That's not that easy and there lots of scams, so most of the times it's guts feeling. Now bitcoin makes it a little easier to get altcoins for a low price.
I read first the whitepaper then look for the management team if they are trustworthy. Last thing I look for is vision of project developer it is more on personal judgement but it is important because We all know there's a change that the project will not materialize.
The thing that encourages me to invest in altcoins the most is that there is still the potential and the possibility for me to make up to 1000 - 1500 percent profit from investing in altcoins and maybe even more depending on how well the altcoin does in the market. Bitcoin has passed the stage where it can give this high percentage profit so altcoins are the next best thing.
