There are many reasons responsible for this actually, however, there are few most important ones which I usually consider.
Firstly, the project/team itself. I don't joke with the sustainability prowess of any project I wanna invest him at all. Also I take serious the team/idea behind the project, whether it's one that can last a long time.

I think the main reason for investing in altcoins is that the appearance of a new cryptocurrency on the market always attracts new users. New users increase the overall market capitalization and involve other people.
For me, the main incentive for investment is to improve the quality of my life and the lives of others. If the project bears the benefit of others, I with great joy will support it
f the project has good and interesting aspects in it and of course the value. I always will looked upon the changes of money if it is benefitable or not. A good altcoin will always make you earn more than you invest.
I think we need to conduct an in-depth analysis of the project, examine the team, look at the technology, white paper, the road map, understand the prospects and the relevance of the idea, then invest in this coin.
Mostly i see through the uniqueness of the coin and total supplies. but sometimes i need to clarify by reading the whitepapers, because it's really important to know what the usage of the coins for the market, the team behind it, where will the coins go, and some other further plan for their project.
I always look for the member of it if the basic information is true and also check if they have been on other projects and make it succesfull i also follow my heart and critical thinking and instinct because you need to decide good and follow your instinct because this is the one way to feel the investment will be good or bad
I will find iut the white paper first and find out the details of the coins. Then I will find out the team members of the coins and to see if they have the ability to make it a good one.
This is a great technology that I believe they would lead the technology in the future, I need to get some of them and make sure its enough when they are growing bigger in the future.
I find it extremely difficult to rely on an emerging altcoin as a valid option to risk my capital, since over the years we have seen many projects that promise to have the potential to reach great heights,For me whats encourage me to invest in altcoin is ethereum because eth has so many potentials to successfully grow.
The most important thing for me is investing in a project, during the ICO. to make a lot of money from my investment. During the ICO almost once the prices of coins or projects are very cheap compared to when coins or projects are lunched.
My motivation for my investment purely is for profit. Traditional investment is less transparent and most of the time, what you are buying as investment is not value at all. But in crypto you can verify and analyse correctly. Everything is open on the blockchain. No cheat.
