I thought that crypto will always be pegged to the bitcoin until it will come to the market and is backed by a commodity that gives stable value like gold or fiat money.
Crypto without any backed will never become stable and bitcoin will always give a big impact for that crypto. Ethereum without any backup and that will always really volatile. Cheesy

You can't say Ethereum price is 5% of the price of Bitcoin, because the price of Ethereum in 2017 increased due to many successful ICO and the ICO using Ethereum blockchain, so many people were investing and using Ethereum at the time, thus making Ethereum prices increase and at this time the price of Ethereum has not increased, because the current state of ICO is not the same as in 2017 (many ICO fail), so the price of Ethereum is not increasing like in 2017.
