To my shame I haven't put in much effort for promoting blockchain technology and cryptocurrency especially in my local area. I do say amazing things about crypto and how it can revolutionise all the industries in the world.how

As a matter of fact I'm now contributing to a project that wants to truly decentralize the world. Unfortunately very few people actually run full nodes. Most of them rely on third party services.

Honestly, I have tried what I can to promote the Blockchain technology but, to almost no avail. Also, it isn't compulsory to promote the Blockchain technology but necessary because this is our world and we have to tell people what it's like (so they can benefit too).

I believe most of us tried to promote blockchain technology specifically cryptocurrency.  But I feel most of us hit a wall of doubt on the part of the listener due to the scams being the first one to exploit the technology.  Even if we are enthusiast if our recipient is doubtful we can do nothing about since all we can do is share our experience and told them the wonderful stuff we experienced while participating in the blockchain industry.

In my last post, I was asking why the Blockchain technology isn't adopted as fast as we suppose. I got a lot of replies which did not only enlighten me, but also enlightened others. It's cool to have lively people here. In this post, I'm asking a simple question. Since we've come to understand that some people consider the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to be scam and some other stories, what have you done to help promote the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies? How many people have you introduced them to? How active are the people you introduced?
I am a college student and during my last year i had to present a project on a topic that aims to change the future and if succeeded the college would  fund you to create it, and so my choice was without thinking about the blockchain technology and how it could change they way we interact and do transaction with each other and during this presentation i presented a suggestion for the college to replace their database with a blockchain network to make the process easier for the students, the idea got accepted very well and currently me and a couple of my mates are working on creating this network.

Am I supposed to do something? I think blockchain technology can cope without me

Sounds more like "Am I supposed to clean the house? I think the house can cope (clean itself) without me". Lol... You have to understand that every effort (negative or positive has an impact.

Your effort in helping and promoting blockchain and crypto technologies is truly a compliment but this task is probably too great for your ability, to be honest, what you should do is hard work making money through blockchain and crypto. Because we are the first generation of this program, if we develop well and improve a lot of income, the evidence will be more than enough to convince everyone around, words or propagation won't work as well as what people see, the results of your efforts are ineffective

Our very own experience is the best way for people--our families, friends, and colleagues--to see and prove that there is a bright future in blockchain and cryptocurrency.

By sharing and showing to them our testimony or experience on how we started, the struggles we encountered along the way, and the times that we are enjoying what we have been invested and work hard for is a much better way of promoting the importance and benefits of blockchain and cryptocurrency these days. Lead the way for them and be open to assist them once they started to be interested to learn what is it all about.

The only thing that i have done to promote blockchain technology and cryptocurrency is by telling some of my friends on how do i earn money by just trading and investing in cryptocurrency. After explaining all of it, they start to become interested to invest their money in crypto and they also tell it to their other friends too.

Firstly, I like to talk to as many who are willing to give a listening ear about cryptocurrency and how it operates. I believe that will more people getting aware and becoming a part of the industry, we will face nothing both growth, and some advancement. A lot of persons see it as something that is used to promote illegal activities, but as someone who has more knowledge, it is important to inform them that cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology is beyond that.

Although bitcoin has been around and is being used by many especially those who realized how beneficial it can be and how advantageous it is compared to the traditional currency, many are still not aware that bitcoin is existing, or in other cases, they knew about bitcoin but didn't have any clue about how it works, what is it about. and for what. Obviously, for butcoin to have massive adoption, there's an obvious need of educating people about it not just spreading news about how quickly they can be rich. I can say that I am using the internet to contribute to the adoption of bitcoin and planning to use the media in no time.

I honestly think that I have done my part in promoting Blockchain technology & cryptocurrencies I am active here and contributing to this forum, I have invited some of my friends through social media and teach them on what and how Bitcoin functions, all the ten people I've invited have invested and they are also inviting people to invest, it's more like a domino effect and this is good for wider adoption.

In my country most of the previous elections was not credible and transparent enough while the losers always calls for outright cancellation of the results having spent huge amount of funds in conducting the election. however I have been in forefront of enlightening my fellow countrymen and authorities concerned the importance of adopting blockchain technology in electioneering which will enhance a free, fair and transparent election however some schools of thought believed that the technology can be hacked which I rebuffed out-rightly but they aren't convinced yet about my explanations on adoption of this technology, I had decided to continue to promote it.

i have introduced my brother in law in bitcoin since he was interested how i get some money out from the internet.  i learned lessons after it. when these guys ask you about how you get money online, it may just mean he wanna know how much money you got right now and can he ask loan.

but i've done some promotions myself like wearing t-shirts with BTC logo on it. i found friends by just wearing the shirts and often times, they are pretty much knowledgeable already in crypto.

Weating T-shirts 🤔
That's absolutely a great idea. Back then when I was very active on the steemit platform, I did long to get some T-shirts which I had seen because I believe it was one easy way to tell people... However, I don't even know where I can get a crypto (Bitcoin and Ethereum) T-shirt in my country.

wearing shirts with btc logo on it is a good way to spark conversation to fellow crypto users. you are going earn contacts, i was invited by one where i end up visiting a city where there are more ether users and learn local projects that isnt in this forum.  i was secretive to inform them my account here though. but i can see some of them here.

It is not easy to widespread a new kind of technology like bitcoin blockchain technology does. But I am one of those who have a part to promote it. Not just by promoting it in a social media but first of all to my family, friends and my workmates. The idea of giving them the explanation as how bitcoin can be used in our lives and I also give them the benefit of the doubt that it is not scam. Since bitcoin do not have that good reputation in our country. There are also different ways to promote it, patronize it, use your bitcoin as a payment, etc.

Everytime I met my friends I always introduced the blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. Actually some of them become interested to know more about this crypto when they notice I always share news about cryptocurrency in my social media account. Spreading awareness could gives some idea to others. Some wanted to learn too on how to earn money since they knew from me that I earn bitcoin. We cannot forced others if they are not interested about it.

I specifically avoid talking about cryptocurrencies with other people, because I don't want  to give anyone investment advices - it can easily backfire and spoil a relationship with someone I know or hurt my reputation. There are also other reasons like safety - I don't want people in real life knowing that I'm a "crypto guy" - that would be akin to drawing a target on my back. I believe that a good invention shouldn't rely on evangelism to get adopted - these days people get most of the information that they need from public sources rather than their friends.

Since my peer discovered cryptoccurency together, we're all helping each other and even promoting it to our other classmates and friends. Even my family knew about it. Also through my socmed accounts, I'm active in sharing news and updates about crypto.

Though it's just a small way of promoting, but it can add up awareness. Like what many have said, it's in my circle of friends and relatives where I share knowledge and opportunities to work with blockchain technology. Giving hints that this innovation can help them especially cryptocurrency where opportunities to earn is open to everyone who shows interest. Advising those people to also do the same, sharing in a small way will bring wide audience to learn and be interested with this industry.
