In my last post, I was asking why the Blockchain technology isn't adopted as fast as we suppose. I got a lot of replies which did not only enlighten me, but also enlightened others. It's cool to have lively people here. In this post, I'm asking a simple question. Since we've come to understand that some people consider the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to be scam and some other stories, what have you done to help promote the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies? How many people have you introduced them to? How active are the people you introduced?

I have a forum and I frequently post on my social media channel news related to Cryptocurrency and my experiences and earnings related to Cryptocurrency, I am also want to create my own forum about Cryptocurrency and I have my own application about Cryptocurrency too, some of the people I invited to invest in Cryptocurrency are still active in bounty hunting and investing, I just hope they also do their best to invite other people.

It's smart not to be too vocal about your involvement in cryptocurrencies. Some people see it as a get rich scheme and could try to extort you or steal from you. Some will look at you like a money launderer or gambler. They'll say that instead of working like an honest man you're earning money in a questionable, maybe even unethical way.

I told some of my friends about it and they understood how it works. Before our conversation they thought this was a ponzi scheme, imagine that! This is how mainstream media describe it and people follow. It's sad.

Crypto can pay in a really amazing way. Once people who aren't into it hear of it, they feel it's about making thousands. Here in my country, some people think that bitcoin is related to scam or even ponzi scheme too. However, I tell people the superficially aspect and leave them to do their research.

I introduce it to my friends and family so far and some of their friends also knows that I am earning through crypto currencies,
So whenever someone wants to know something about crypto in our place they would try to ask me about it and I would explain it as long as I could and as long as I know it.
So far that is the only thing that I have done to promote crypto currencies I also tried posting it in my social media so my online friend would be aware of it and some got interested and ask about it but that's just it after I talk to them it is up to them if they would continue to invest or get into crypto.

I remember when i once organized a meetup for my own family just to educate them about the rudiments of blockchain technology and how it stands the chance of changing the financial industry within the next 5-10 years. I have also spoken to some friends of mine who studied computer science yet have no knowledge about the uprising of this technology. In all my teachings one thing that i have realized is that most members complain that blockchain technology is too complex to grasp even though i try to break everything down to the layman's point of view. Do you think is the readiness to learn that they are lacking or i am just not doing something right? i can use some help here as well folks.

I tried to explain it to my friends and how it can be used in most of industries. Working in pharmacy, blockchain tech would make it much easier to make orders and keep an eye on the shelf and build better statistics for what is being sold and refill it.
I talked a little about its application on games which make you own every thing you get in the game.

Using my social media account, every time I post about cryptocurrency a lot of my friends are asking me about bitcoin and how that currency works. This is my simple way to market bitcoin and I’m proud that a lot of my friends are now using bitcoin, they enjoyed every price pump and dump of bitcoin and for sure they are also sharing knowledge about cryptocurrency.

Looking for gigs
Ever since I got into cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, my goal is to spread awareness to those cities and other areas that are not yet aware of this disruptive technology.

Since 2018, I have been traveling in various cities and provinces to conduct awareness about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. I visited several universities to let them know why cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology are the future, especially if its adopted in the education industry.

Until today, I am still doing advocacy about this and its my passion to spread awareness, even if those seminars I've conducted are free and coming from my own pocket.

I've done nothing to be frank to promote bitcoin, it is what is it, I mean let people see and discover the beautiful benefit of using bitcoin in their lives. You don't need to rub it in or tell average Joe in your street corner.  So to I haven't convinced anyone yet, not that I'm aware of, I just simply tell them what bitcoin is and it's up to them if they wanted to join, and no financial advise, that's the worst thing you can do. Don't try to preach that they can earn, specially lots of money.

I always introduce and share knowledge about bitcoin, blockchain technology and cryptocurrency to my friends when we get together. almost every chance I enthusiastically tell how I benefit from bitcoin and cryptocurrency. but almost all of my friends are only interested in my story without any desire to jump right in and try to invest with bitcoin. maybe the reason they don't want to invest or use bitcoin because in my country bitcoin is still illegal and also maybe because of the bad news about bitcoin that makes them not want to invest or use bitcoin

Whenever I have the chance, I try to convince my peers  even on casual conversations about the benefits of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies and what might be its impact in the near future!  Observing some people being clueless about this innovation inspires me more to do my best in introducing cryptos and blockchain technology to other people.

Though it is sometimes frustrating seeing some of them find it hard to comprehend the technicalities, I try to acquaint them as simply as I can because I believe that this small steps of promoting blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies will one day might result on them having the right knowledge and tools of the trade to make a positive impact on their lives.

"Though it is sometimes frustrating seeing some of them find it hard to comprehend the technicalities"
This has always been the issue to me. I don't know have others explain the Blockchain technology for a perfect understanding.

This, I think is the main factor why most people have a difficulty absorbing its concept - because the technology has a steep learning curve which poses as a hindrance to kickstart mass adoption!

Introducing others about blockchain technology can be challenging but it can be done. Its like introducing a smart phone three decades ago where I'm sure you will be met with some people who are reluctant to use it or worst, could be resistant to change. Smiley

I am sure a lot of people here are very active in promoting blockchain tech and cryptocurrencies to their own circle. Some of them have gone extra miles by arranging conferences and meetups. Real bitcoin enthusiasts are doing it since ages. Othereise, do you think we would have reached this far? I personally have introduced bitcoin to uncounted numbers of people including my colleagues and friends.

I don't know about conferences but for sure the small meetups and tiny groups of people doing small things every day for Bitcoin, these are the ones who are the unsung heroes.

But I think as long as you use it in your daily life, and you don't hide that you use it (not necessarily you need to broadcast to everyone that you are a Bitcoiner), then you're doing your part.

This hodler mentality alone won't help Bitcoin for sure.

How many people have you introduced them to? How active are the people you introduced?

it doesn't matter how many people you introduced to bitcoin, what matters is how you introduced bitcoin to them.
unfortunately most of people who introduce bitcoin or cryptocurrencies to others are telling them that "buying XYZ would make you rich" and that is why those other people came in this market. i wouldn't consider that promotion or helping the technology or the ecosystem in general to grow. that is just bringing in more weak hand speculators aka gamblers that cause more volatility and postpone adoption even more.

First, we need to ask what we can do individually. So how effective can a person's personal efforts be? Projects, community managers, influential people with blockchain knowledge in countries ... They can make a difference. We can be the ones to activate them. Support to the right people enables a number of mechanisms to work.

Fantastic. In my own little way, I encourage all my family members leaving abroad to use bitcoin while sending money across borders. I have personally been involved in offering free introduction lectures to many persons. Most are active.

That's wonderful when you know someone who uses bitcoin more as their payment method. It is applicable around the world and it's not that hard to use in transactions. Keep it up!

Many people promotes blockchain and cryptocurrenct as their primary way. They work very hard just to socialize and explain something about it. As those hard-worker bitcoin enthusiasts influenced me, I also shared bitcoin related ideas or thought to my friends and co-workers. By this promotion, they use bitcoin to their other transactions or payments.

I always use bitcoin everywhere if it's necessary and secure. Also to promote the power of bitcoin to our economy. Whenever there is an opportunity, I will promote more about blockchain technology and cryptocurrency as hard as I can to help them achieve the life that they want.

I got my family involved and taught them how to make transactions. Now they sometimes use bitcoin to make payments. They made some nice profit from bitcoin as well. To help promote bitcoin I always ask to be paid in bitcoin or other crypto whenever possible. I then spend crypto in place of fiat at every possible chance. A large number of my funds are in crypto as well so I put my money where my mouth is as it were.

Nice to hear that you taught your family. For me, only 2 of my family members are interested. But then, the explanations involved are discouraging.🤷‍♂

This has also been an idea in my head. I believe that if someone wants to send money across the border, the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency should be his choice (cause it's easy, fast, reliable)
