When I discuss with people on how to solve economical or certains problems, I always chip in how the blockchain technology would help solve those issues while making it accountable. When they seems to get confused on what the heck I am talking about, I make an explanation of what this technology is all about and its importance.
So in my part, I feel like I am promoting the the blockchain technology.

I have spread the word by making comments on social media and posting on this form about the wonderful technology of the blockchain. I've done much word of mouth advertising by letting family members know and informing the public in person as well. One can only do so much, so it depends on the entire community to come together to proliferate Bitcoin.

Same here but too bad, my page was disabled. I introduce bitcoin to my family and friends. I guide them to open an account and teach them how to use an apps with their bitcoin wallet. Teach them how to use it, sometimes I am giving  an minimal btc fund just t test its uses and capability. I like this innovation, how it changes lives and the we we transact online.

In my case I have only introduced crypto currencies to my relatives and right now they are still active and keep on studying on how they can utilize their small money to grow a little more.

I suggested to them that they should be patience and wait for the right opportunity to come as they didn't know the proper way of trading yet so I suggested to them that they should put their little money in Ethereum and wait for the market to recover.

Word of mouth in most cases, at least from my own side of promoting blockchain and crypto, with my involvement in crypto and little knowledge gain here in forum and other crypto sites am able to convince few relatives about btc even though they are not fully into it yet they seem interested to know more and how they can profit from it,
Sometimes repost interesting post from project I follow on social media, pretty much the basic stuff I guess.
Same thing here. By using my mouth i've convinced most of my friends to study and learn more about cryptocurrency. I don't want them to have ignorance into themselves. Some of them started investing in bitcoin and somehow they are learning now how to trade crypto. Every one of us is connected now, Not just me. Telling them different stories about my experiences on cryptocurrency is somehow exhilarating.

Today we shared new information about crypto and it's a win-win on both sides.

There are many things we can do to promote Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. First I have a social media account like Facebook, Twitter, Telegram and Instagram. From some social media accounts, I always share information about Bitcoin. And many of my friends sent me a message. They tried to ask about what I was doing. I provide information on how to invest and trade by purchasing digital assets.

Slowly they I pointed to more reading about Cryptocurrency. And they also start investing.

The only ways i have actually done to promote blockchain technology and cryptocurrency are :
1. Joining and participating in bounty campaigns such as Facebook and Twitter campaigns where i share or post contents related to blockchain technology  and cryptocurrency.
2. Writing blogs or articles reviewing new blockchain projects and new crypto coins.

This is a really good idea. I never thought of this. I guess I should create a page about that (though managing it won't be any easy). Thanks for sharing the idea.

I got my family involved and taught them how to make transactions. Now they sometimes use bitcoin to make payments. They made some nice profit from bitcoin as well. To help promote bitcoin I always ask to be paid in bitcoin or other crypto whenever possible. I then spend crypto in place of fiat at every possible chance. A large number of my funds are in crypto as well so I put my money where my mouth is as it were.

Nice to hear that you taught your family. For me, only 2 of my family members are interested. But then, the explanations involved are discouraging.🤷‍♂

Same here. My family is very curious on how am I earning my money, and I told them about this forum, bitcoin, and cryptocurrency that they could make money here. As what normal people would response, of course they doubted me saying if this was really a legit way on earning money or maybe this was just a scam, they said. I found myself explaining it to them piece by piece hoping they would understand what's my point, but I failed.

Anyways, we are still helping blockchain to promote in public by using cryptocurrency always, it is the easiest thing we could do for now. We can't force them to enter this world, we have to show them how powerful crypto can be than fiat.

Lol... To me, we don't really need to worry over it. Somehow, wild fire spreads.... 🤷‍♂

I've introduce it to some of my friends, use our local cryptocurrency wallet, spread awareness that bitcoin is a digital currency and not a form of ponzi investment.

It's really hard to introduced crypto and blockchain to old generations like 80's. Some people even want a quick return so they ignore investing into cryptocurrencies. Good thing there are big companies that starts to adapt to blockchain technology now. It helps a lot to spread awareness to make more people interested in it.

I was probably guilty about "promoting" Bitcoin for the sake of it in 2014/15 when with a group of far younger friends. I still remember it was all about Silk Road, and I had myself decided then I wasn't using it (long story with past scars with digital money and me not understanding at the time that Bitcoin was something completely different).

Even probably told a few people too enthusiastically in 2016 when I did start using it.

Doesn't happen anymore these days. But I'd like to think the average daily transaction I do for normal stuff is my big bit for Bitcoin.

No utility, no demand, no sense?

I don't request loans~
Most of us would either probably spreading it in their own circle of friends and family. However, the technicalities involved are very difficult to explain to someone who has never tried researching it and even if you do make them research about it, they kind of lose interest in it sooner or later so it was kind of a waste though. A lot of curious people ask me though about what bitcoin is since I often update my social media account about updates on crypto and such and since they are also learned in the field of tech, they try to ask me questions and learn as we go. I don't really start encouraging people to invest on crypto and coins and such but rather just teach them and make them a bit more educated about its current affairs. It's really up to them if they want to continue on and invest. I've also shared my fair warnings about the possible repercussions when investing nonchalantly without prior research about the field.

In my last post, I was asking why the Blockchain technology isn't adopted as fast as we suppose. I got a lot of replies which did not only enlighten me, but also enlightened others. It's cool to have lively people here. In this post, I'm asking a simple question. Since we've come to understand that some people consider the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to be scam and some other stories, what have you done to help promote the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies? How many people have you introduced them to? How active are the people you introduced?
I remember, a friend of mine from different island told me that many people in his new village is trading Bitcoin. Then he asked me what actually Bitcoin is and why his people is very attractive to Bitcoin. I tried to explain with the easiest ways, I told him that in trading, Bitcoin is like firm's stocks, but it gives no dividend so just buy low and sell high. Then I just explain what technology behind it, the blockchain and he simply replied "stop it, it's just really hard to understand". LOL.

A lot of friends in my area asked about Bitcoin to me just because they heard that people can make money from it, and they hope they can do so. I don't like these kind of people and I often tell them that if they want to know about Bitcoin, then learn the technology behind it and stop wishing easy money from Bitcoin.

This is a very great way to promote all of the cryptocurrencies we have in the market, and you have to be patient because a lot of people will ask you everything about it, I hate spoon feeding people so I'm not trying my best to explain cryptocurrency whenever there are people asking me how they could earn money on it, what's the process, what are the requirements like they are applying in a normal job, it is funny, because the results are always the same, they are easily to be discourage when you start explaining complicated stuffs.

I have encouraged some of my friends to start learning about cryptocurrency and start investing on it as early as they can. So far, I have influenced some of my friends, but as usual there are who did not even bother listening. I also promote crypto thru social media by sharing some basic information about cryptocurrency to somehow spread awareness.

It's smart not to be too vocal about your involvement in cryptocurrencies. Some people see it as a get rich scheme and could try to extort you or steal from you. Some will look at you like a money launderer or gambler. They'll say that instead of working like an honest man you're earning money in a questionable, maybe even unethical way.

I told some of my friends about it and they understood how it works. Before our conversation they thought this was a ponzi scheme, imagine that! This is how mainstream media describe it and people follow. It's sad.

Crypto can pay in a really amazing way. Once people who aren't into it hear of it, they feel it's about making thousands. Here in my country, some people think that bitcoin is related to scam or even ponzi scheme too. However, I tell people the superficially aspect and leave them to do their research.

It seems we share the same experience, that is why instead of promoting about it openly to the public in casual conversations, I would rather be thrifty in words or even avoid the talk altogether. But in front of my friends and relatives, I am more open. But not really as open as I can be in online conversations like in this forum wherein my personal identity is concealed. Being too open to them about it is kind of hard because they have a very different impression about crypto and they seem to be impervious to explanations. So for now, my contribution to the spreading of awareness about crypto or blockchain is through the keyboard.
