We have heard all the news about countries deciding to make bitcoin as legal, the latest being Russia and Ukraine as they both are also in some political problem. Obviously with this new statement that has been made on bitcoin status in those countries, it could be regulated by the government.
What is your expectation of bitcoin ?
Dont expect too much because decisions and considerations would still really be that questionable. It might be having some probability but those are still rumors or subject to change.

Making bitcoin as a legal thing is really a good news since it do really adds up on overall adoption and recognition and this is what we do need if we do really like to see the price
or make it more valuable.Lets just not rush up because anything would really happen normally.Lets just wait up and be patient whether it would happen or not.

It will eventually happen. Regardless if they changed their minds at one point, but Bitcoin has become very popular and cities and countries are gradually adopting to it, regardless of how much the media are portraying Bitcoin as a bad investment but still Bitcoin's adoption level is gradually rising.

Legalization maybe a good thing for Bitcoin, but government will always find a way to regulate it. The good thing is, they cannot control Btc transactions. So, yeah legalization is somehow a good contribution to mass adoption.

Of course this is a good thing when many countries legalize bitcoin, of course when countries legalize bitcoin then rules will be made, and I think this is not a problem, even though it is regulated but I believe it will never reduce the decentralized function of bitcoin and of course a good prospect to keep the price .

when all countries in the world legalize bitcoin, then bitcoin decentralization function will be reduced, i believe countries will require bitcoin wallets to require their customers to KYC and pay taxes, exchanges will all be required to require their customers to KYC , banks are monitoring every transaction made to buy bitcoin or altcoins, the world of legalization will take its toll, but on the bright side it will be easier to catch scammers when people report
It's obvious by now, we don't need to wait till countries legalized them. Ever since we reaches all time high in 2017, there are a lot of them who required KYC, exchanges etc because governments are forcing everyone and making it a mandatory. So I guess this is now the basic but necessary part of countries accepting bitcoin. No more anonymity as they are going to give up in exchange of acceptance from countries and legalization.

Rules are only made for cryptocurrencies so that there is no cyber crime that is widespread, we know that without regulation,
cryptocurrencies can indeed become a place for money laundering and can even become a money supplier for terrorists,
especially with this very anonymous person, I agree with the regulations, with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies regulated it will be a safe place

Personally I think it is because of the present circumstance (war) faced by both countries prompted them to legalized Bitcoin, for the Russians to ease sanctions imposed on them by USA and other European countries, example banning of SWIFT which is mainly used for transaction purposes, they adopted bitcoin to fill that vacuum created by the ban, the Ukrainians needed funds and donations for both humanitarian aids and funds to procure ammunitions that will be use to fight the war, thus resorted to legalization of bitcoin, consequently there isn't any impact on the price of bitcoin since the crisis started, the price of bitcoin has been ranging back and forth.

I don't know for sure if Russia and Ukraine actually decided to make bitcoin legal in their countries. But if it's true then I'm sure many countries that previously didn't accept bitcoin will change their minds too to accept bitcoin to use it as legal tender as El Salvador has done. Even due to the adoption of bitcoin as a legal tender, now the tourism industry in El Salvador has soared by more than 30%. Therefore, I believe that in the future many countries in the world will take the example of El Salvador to legalize bitcoin in order to increase state revenues.

I don't know about Ukraine, because there is a war going on there right now and a lot of people are officially donating cryptocurrency to this country, bitcoin among others, so you can probably say about the legal status of cryptocurrencies in Ukraine. But about Russia so far it is only a rumour. There is no official status of cryptocurrencies in Russia and there never has been. Moreover, I've heard that here it is possible to introduce criminal responsibility for storing cryptocurrencies on non-custodial and non-exchange wallets. I really don't know if this is a fud or not yet.

My expectations may not be much different from your expectations and all of us here, I personally really hope if the legality of bitcoin is applied throughout the world and makes it an alternative payment like  as the use of dollars or euros today as a world currency, with legality that it is clear from all countries of course we as crypto fans, especially bitcoin, no longer need to worry about the assets we have, besides that global legality will certainly trigger a significant increase in bitcoin prices in the market.

My hope is bitcoin can be accepted globally, now more and more crypto developers are actively campaigning in many events, for example crypto.com, coinbase and others are active in the NBA, UFC to football, this proves that developers are very serious about presenting useful cryptocurrencies for everyone and should be legalized immediately.

My hope is that in the future there will be other countries that legalize Bitcoin as a legal tender like El Salvador has done. Moreover, by adopting blockchain technology, Bitcoin can overcome the financial problems of developing countries and poor countries in the world to encourage a better financial system. Therefore, hopefully in the future, more countries will decide to make bitcoin legal and blockchain technology innovation.

Yes, many countries will make bitcoin legal in their various countries to help their youths to overcome hardship and to reduce unemployment from the land. Those countries that adopted bitcoin some years ago are really doing well in their various countries in the areas of employment and steady and stable economy they are enjoying from their countries.

Many countries has used bitcoin to solved their problems by allowing their citizens to have access to bitcoin and use it to improve their families in the areas of finance and other businesses in their land. Based on the positive results some countries has received from other countries that made bitcoin legalized, show that they will make bitcoin legalized for their people to be part of the freedom.

If bitcoin is legal then there will be many restrictive rules, even I'm sure the government will set a bitcoin price which may be different from market conditions, but in general if it is legalized then this is good because it will make users feel safe and not worry about the future of bitcoin.
I think this is very difficult to do because the price of bitcoin is universal and the price of bitcoin on all exchanges is the same, although there are price differences in each exchange but the amount is very small. In my opinion what is certain is that if bitcoin or crypto is legalized in a country of course everyone who owns crypto assets must pay taxes and the government must increase supervision of cryptocurrency transactions.

+1

Bitcoin will be the true measure of value since it is universal.
Wealth and cost of living will be measured with bitcoin.

And yes every developed nation needs some way to gather taxes and provide citizens basics and that's where regulations come in. The regulations are needed but also frowned upon.

The government may set their own Bitcoin price? How is that even possible? What's their basis on the value? And how is that going to be relevant with Bitcoin in crypto market? Lol that's kinda complicated and impossible.
Legalising Bitcoin and imposing "restrictive rules" like you said is not going to make users safe. There's nothing more safer than using cold wallet and keep your Bitcoin on your own.
I'm not against Bitcoin legalization or regulation, because we are going to see a lot of government be doing that in the next few years.

That's crazy thought's and I'm wondering how could government do that knowing that its hard for them to control it, We might see a different approach of the government on how they will regulate it and how big the percentage the tax need by a person to pay with them. But for thinking about price? Well most provably what we are experiencing here will be the same in future as bitcoin will remain uncontrollable by any legal institutions in the world.

I expect that the regulation would follow and all of the prohibitions/restrictions imposed on their respective government would be unchained. Given this very unfortunate scenario, these countries would have to exercise all the means in order to revive their economy and to at least mitigate the damage brought about the war.

The beauty of cryptocurrencies in this scenario is that anyone can send donations to valid wallet address. In addition, transacting with people in these countries will be relatively easier as you bypass any third-party consensus in handling your money (plus it is unregulated).

A government can't set a price they want and if this is possible then why no one can't predict the value of bitcoin? earning a profit will be much easier then. Bitcoin is not a fiat where someone can put if how much value they want but bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that is not controlled by someone else. Its value will depend only on the demand and supply.
Governments fear just because it can't be controlled as the centralized currencies that's been into circulation printed by the government based on the gold standard. With cryptocurrency like bitcoin people try to manipulate holding a good volume, beyond that it is the market that drives itself.
Bitcoin being legalized doesn't mean that they put some strict laws in it. Being legalized only means that buying and selling bitcoin is now allowed on that country. Regulation is what makes it safer while it can also make it more stricter. More legalization means more demand but we can't avoid the fluctuations and price decline sometimes.
Whenever a country legalise cryptocurrency it gives access to use the same. Some give limitations to be followed while using the same. It is upto the government and there is nothing to make a note connecting that governments will decide the value of bitcoin. When legalised it gives path for ease of usage which reflects in increased demand and the same might reflect in the price.
