Maybe they know about the risks of gambling, but most of them still play it, maybe because the desire to win has covered their common sense so they don't think about the big risks they will feel if they gamble excessively. The few people who gamble wisely, they can still think of other things that are more important than gambling so they can still limit the budget for gambling, by using bonus money from work for example. Unlike those who gamble irresponsibly, they forget about many things that are more important and must be their responsibility because the mindset has changed by only thinking about gambling which makes them only think about gambling and ignore other things that are more important than gambling.

However, it's often nice if you are betting such risk on sports like football matches with odds that are more than 2.0.

This could fetch you that amount easily if you are right with the prediction, nonetheless, I will never be a party to having just $200 in my account and still bet it at once on a game. That's not wise enough.

It's really tough to overcome the mindset of stopping the game when you've just doubled your money. Most people think, "At most, it's just losing the profit.; my initial $200 is still there. Why not keep playing? I'm on a lucky streak." I would do the same, and I'm sure you've found yourself in such situations many times.
Winning too early and too easily makes us feel complacent and overly confident, making it challenging to stop playing right then and there.
