More of a fish myself that forgets everything in 3 seconds.

I literally forget about what the other person raised or even if he checked and what not on the next card opening. Like say the three cards are opened and dude raises 1 dollar and my turn I call then the fourth card is opened and I don't even remember that 1 dollar raise. I do not play to win though so it might be the reason, I play because I have super fun and poker is something you can play with your friends at home, that is the good part.

You can't play slots with your friends, neither blackjack unless one becomes the house, you can't play dice neither since the best case you can is 2 options of winning or losing. Basically all I do is I call up my friends and play together and have fun, nobody cares about the game itself.

I have noticed that there two kinds of persons in poker gambling (when it refers to profits)

1._ The hit and run ones
2._ The ones who uses the money earned on previous bets to hunt for a bigger reward

What's your kind?

I am the type of poker player 1, I don't know why I do it, it looks bad but it makes me profit too. I always look for a full seat and wait for a good card for All in when I get a big win I leave the table Cheesy.
All in when the good card is good strategy but don't get too confidence the opponent might have the better card. Smiley But I am not good at poker and will never try to get in more money on that game.

About that 2 options, i am hit and run player. Because sometime i play and afraid to lose, so when i win or lose, usually i leave the game and maybe take a rest. And then start again in next day.

I feel you bro. I'm more of option #1, too—a hit and run player. I know to myself and honestly admitted that I don't like the feeling of losing. It gives me frustration and regret. So whenever I have that drive to gamble, and whenever I win big, then I prefer to walk out immediately and enjoy what I gained before something change my mind that'll trigger me to bet again and again until I have lost everything.
I am not a good poker player but Poker is not a rocket science as well. If you try to learn how to play poker, with practice, you would be able to achieve the level you want to. In addition, you need to be rational by which I mean relying on your skills and the probability if making something happen. Do not think about Luck coming and saving you. This would be foolish. The richest men in Poker are the guys who worked on their weak ones.
I have a general impression about gambling that one of the hallmarks about this game is its uncertainty. So for such, luck would always be effective, so be it poker or whatever as long as it has the name gambling attached, there would always be people who are dependent on luck and we can’t blame them or tag them for been foolish.

I would never think of devising method to play gambling, and I don’t believe in skill even though I know quiet alright that poker is more of a skill based type of game. This is because of the mindset that gambling is more of a game of entertainment and luck, so I feel there is no necessity for skills in gambling.

I'm a type of poker player which uses money earned from previous bets. I do this to minimize the risk of losing my capital so I can play to the next day. It's too hard for me to be a hit and run ones because when you feel the momentum of your luck; it's hard to resist playing unless you really have a good control which most likely doesn't work when you're already in that situation.
If that pattern works for you in minimizing your loses then it cool for you and I call that wisdom, in gambling, different people with what works for them, I am far from this strategy knowing that I would be heading for my doom if I ever put this to try.

I am that type of player that might win a game and stop playing for a long while before returning back as a result of fear of the unknown. I won $100 dollars from one of those sites and I haven’t played again since then, its over 3months already and I have no hope of winning again when I return back but I would at least be happy I spent the little one I won well.

i dont like it becuse i mostly lose all of it but i have to say im type 2, i wish sometimes i was more of a type 1 player. would have made me alot more money in the long run Cheesy
You lose most of the times and yet haven’t resolved to stop playing, I am always surprised at reasons why people gamble, a game that is designed for people to lose their money, How do you guys continue playing even when the game stops being fun? I keep wondering why anyone would stick with a game that is not profitable, all because they keep on hoping for tomorrow, this is quiet ridiculous

I don’t believe in being any type of player, thank God I don’t gamble and from all I have seen, it’s a total waste of time. Are some people just unlucky in this gambling than the others or are they just so bad at calculating their odds?

A bit of both. I may be cautious about my winnings on some gambling games but in poker I sometime become
confident that I can win more. since it's poker(specifically texas hold'em) and I have a lot of knowledge to the game
I am able to exploit the advantages of it(bluffing etc..). although I don't always win it still worth it.

Poker is the type of game the more you play the more you would learn, as i am still a newbie in poker, so i am a hit and run type of player. The second one would be for experienced type of players.
I am of course a learner and doer. I learn by doing Poker which means that the more you play at Poker, the more you develop your techniques to get over the problems and the tricks and the hurdles that are always there for a beginner. So yeah, I have not been very much into Poker but the past few months have been pretty challenging after I started the game.
Same as you I am in list of those who are not properly aware of game that how to play it, but with some friends I have seen them playing, so according to me I think poker is a game which is about our luck, it is good to be a hit and run type of player, I try to be the one who get just profit and then leave, many times I felt I should try to increase my timing in poker so I am planning for it as you said the more we spend time the more we learn.

I am more of a hit and run type when I play. Those who hunt for bigger rewards are probably the same people who are either take gambling too seriously or addicted to gambling.

Disagree with you mate, those who hit and still continue for rewards are not those who are addicted to gambling. Being in the gambling industry now, i hardly hit and run, rather hit and continue for more rewards in as far there is self control involve. I aim for rewards doesn't make me addicted to gambling if there is self control.
Just do not get addicted to it but I will tell you Poker is one of the best game in gambling industry with huge revenue around the game and this automatically makes poker a tough to play game but it is very possible to learn how to play Poker. You could be a best Poker player if you put in your time and yeah some money and learn about your weak zones and work on them. The richest of gamblers in the world have been Poker players.

Hit and run is what most gamblers do and its good for them , its a wise strategy but i sometimes feel guilty doing it especially if i gamble on local gambling ( like for example on carnivals )  because they are only small time, gambling is thier way of earning an income but if all gamblers will do this  . i cant imagine what will happen on them   .  but when it comes to playing poker i only play for fun  , i wont mind the money that i bet   .
A wise gamblers use this strategy, because usually they just want to grab only a profit. Theres nothing wrong to do that hit and run. But i think it means they seriously addicted that only the purpose is to make money. But if you dont do it, the hit and run then you are play only for a pastimes.

If you are addicted to gambling. whether your aim is to earn money or have fun, it is hard to do that strategy. An addicted gambler will never run that quickly even if that person won a lot. He thinks that he can still win a lot of money and will continue until he notices he's losing his winning but still continues to play until nothing is left. Addicted gamblers can't be stopped gambling unless someone helps him and him helping himself.

I intend to be the hit and run player. I am using the word intend because I have been playing for a while now and yet haven’t had one record of winning, I spend a lot of time on this game and luck has just refused to smile at me. I know some of you will come to attack me that I am not skilled enough, please spare me those crab, I have done my best in learning.

I am so optimistic about my win and I hope it will be mind blowing. That day might mark end in playing poker games but for now I am not giving up until I break that record. I know it can be frustrating playing games and always loosing but I am willing to be patient till I win, moreover, I think I am having fun from the game already.
Lol, ” The word intend to” Got me laughing. Why don’t you wait to win first before planning on staying or leaving, you never can tell the amount you would get in your first win, maybe so big that you will put it back to have a retry. I understand where you are coming from though, playing always without any record of win can be frustrating and at this point, I cannot even advice blame you since you already mentioned that you are well skilled. Maybe gambling is not just your thing.

I noticed at the very early time of my gambling that I am not such a lucky guy when it comes to gambling especially poker games, I only hit and run.
