The product and the kind of people that are behind the project. They need to have a good product, something that will keep the coin going for a long time. After that, the creators of the coin are just as important because whatever steps that they take have a lot of impact in the way that the coin will end up doing in the market aso I look out for dedicated team members.

The their website and look for team members, look for their social media profiles, linkedin, twitter, etc. verify if all details are true.
Read the whitepaper. Find what's interesting about such project. If their altcoin has possible value in the near future.
Actually there are few things I consider before I trust a new altcoin. One of that is of course the company and their success rate. The second one is the market, I observe if a lot of people trust it as well.
If there are new altcoins and large total capitalists like Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and EOS then I will believe the new Altcoins.

Reliability of altcoins are associated with the actual perspectives of the venture from which they originate. If I’m sure that some mission has wonderful characteristics it approach that the others do the same. That’s why this coin becomes trustable.
The most important part in new project is the team. No matter how much money they collect and how they advertise their product - if team knows what they are doing and have experience in their fields than they will reach their goals and make great product anyway

because new coins have good projects and are not inferior to old coins. now a lot of new coins with good and promising projects for the future, I think that is very good.
Of course I have to study the project and team. Whether the product they make will get a good market or not, as someone who will invest I have to be careful and also have to believe in the coin that I will invest. Of course this is a difficult thing if you are a new player in cryptocurrency, but if it's been a long time you will know which coins are good.
I choose to invest in a new currency mainly depends on the team, because i think the quality of the team determines whether the coin is successful or not. Secondly, reading the white paper and estimating the potential of this new coin based on experience. The last thing is to look at the community, a coin with good community support behind it usually doesn't perform too badly.
