What are your biggest fear in crypto?
As for me, it's losing my private keys by accident. I know that the risk is minimal, but the thought of it makes me anxious from time to time. Also, I'm afraid that BTC dumps during the transaction.
Losing private keys is one of those things that is pretty scary to me. Other things like hacking an exchanger account or forgetting to press the stop loss button are the same thing scary to me lol. The most important thing to keep our data safe is to always be careful when logging in or storing private keys.

For me, I don't worry too much about losing my private keys, because it is unlikely to happen rather an unexpected cryptocurrency market crash. The cryptocurrency market is unpredictable thus anything can happen at any giving time.

The biggest thing that scares me about cryptos is that the possibility of losing or being stolen of my private key. Because there is nothing to do after these kind of events as I know.

For me, banning and having a restriction about Bitcoin is the most I scared of. When all government were against all cryptocurrencies and will cause of dropping the price. Maybe if the bitcoin price will drop down and can no longer recover. I think that really scares me the most because I might lose a lot of money if that will happen. That is only my wild imagination and a negative one that we must forget. Let's think positive and don't even scare at all. Bitcoin now was in on mainstream and some establishments and companies were using it. As long as Bitcoin remains anonymously nothing will control.

The way you put it, I don't think it is possible for anyone to wake up to see the price of Bitcoin drops to zero, that's not possible. Even if that's going to happen, it's not going to happen in a day, it's going to take a really long time for the price to drop to that rate. But I don't even wish for that to happen in anyway.

As for private keys, well, even if you lose the private keys, I don't really see how that's possible as long as you still have access to the wallet..

Well, you can move the coins to another wallet and create a new one. You will only be worried about most of these things when you're not using a good wallet or exchange. That's why you should look for a good wallet if you don't have one.

Waking up one morning and knowing that the whole cryptocurrency market went down to nothing?
Or maybe finding out that all your crypto (or your private keys) was stolen or lost somehow?

By the way, Happy Halloween!

My biggest fear is of course when crypto will suddenly die. But I am not thinking so much of my fears. Actually, I don't think of the negative things that could happen to my cryptocurrency involvement. Most of my fears are baseless and so I don't give much attention to it. Crypto may die but there is no reason at all why it will, not tomorrow, not even in the next 5 to 10 years.

That's all our biggest fear when cryptocurrency died, but, so far now, it is very impossible, so let us not think of this as it will just stress out ourselves, crypto will still be there and will continue to develop, we just need some patience in order for the adoption to be widely accepted.

For most traders, their fear is to get Rekt, when they forgot to do stop loss, for bounty hunters, to get scam, for most of us, we do have different fear, but life must goes on no matter what.
When price drop make many investor afraid will their investment assets back to higher price or not, maybe you have the same situation with beginner with bitcoin and altcoin trader, very worried when looking coin invested have lower price. They will sell soon if do not have discussion in bitcoin investment forum and many investor keep waiting because have know with situation in investment of bitcoin and altcoin.

A price drop is not something to be feared anymore. When I was a beginner way back several years ago, I always feel fear when the prices are falling. I would immediately think that the market is dying. But I got used to the movements of the market. For as long as everything looks normal, a price drop is not to be feared but to be grabbed as an opportunity.

Lost That worries me the most. Either because it was hacked, or because of an error in the analysis. Of course the most painful thing is losing it because it was hacked, it makes me very sad when I see the funds on my wall are transferred to another address that I don't know about. That's a real horror. I am not too worried about technical matters where what if this is prohibited, what if it loses sales value, because my focus is to do the maximum right now.

If anyone fears the areas in crypto they have full control over such as their own security then they ain't doing it right. There are enough tools and enough info out there to make yourself impregnable. Keep working on your set up until the idea of fearing something going wrong feels silly.

I think my main worry would be the majority simply losing interest. You can overcome anything if the collective will is there. If it has tailed off and faded away then it's good night. Impossible to know what could cause that but sometimes it feels people are a little too comfortable with the assurance of its future.

My biggest fear is that I wake up to find my wallets empty or the price collapse and there is anarchy all over with massive dumping and just chaos. I am also afraid that the government puts more restrictions on it. I know people will fight against that.
It is frightening to see a chart that is dominated by red color, getting redder from day to day and the value of assets decreases. It was a truly frightening experience. It took quite a lot of time to restore my trading mentality.
Besides that, I'm also most afraid of hackers. The reason is clear, the assets we accumulate with hard work can just disappear even though we have provided double security.

The fact that there are sock puppet armies of people whose goal is to spread FUD and manipulate the price of BTC to their advantage.

Really exploitative and not fair to the average person.

What are you talking about? If people are stupid enough to believe it that is their problem It actually makes the price more predictable.

I think your fears are valid for all of us in this world of cryptocurrencies at some point that idea has crossed our minds, in addition to experiencing the freezing of funds in a centralized Exchange, both are horror movies.
and guess what? i did experienced both scary moment .

first i forgot where i put my paper wallet that contains private key , seeking it for over 6 months and get nothing , maybe you will conside 0.27 bitcoin as a small or average amount but for me who put $1900 in it feel like i have lost everything.
then i was cryptsy customer who put various altcoin in there but trade so rare , only checking them like once in 2 weeks or so i guess, everyone know where cryptsy is now yes they do exit scam , not much money left there luckily when the scam happens.

so i think i have been through both horror movies and learned a lot from that. i am now have nothing to scared about basically.

Thinking about the possibility that your funds were stolen is a real nightmare, of course for those of us who are very careful it is a very unlikely scenario, in my case I have taken multiple security measures and obviously I do not have "all the eggs in the same basket " Cheesy Cheesy

It was in 2018 I think where I lost almost half of my money because I kept it on my wallet without withdrawing it where at that day I thought the price wouldn't go down that hard and it almost broke my heart entirely. But thanks to that experience, I'm becoming more aware about that stuff and improving myself more and more until this time Smiley

I think that crypto users are usually afraid to lose their coins by cyber attack or losing private keys and the second fear is huge price dump.
From the first fear we can protect ourselves with different security measures, at least when our wallets are in question and the solution for the second is to diversify investments.
There are much worst than that if the bitcoin and crypto currency has no more value and replace with different digital money with easy to use and easy to adopt by more people , That will be my biggest fear.
Let me tell you what scares me the most. Around a couple of years ago Indian government decided to detach banks from having any contact with Cryptocurrencies exchanges. That news gave signs that soon India could possibly ban Cryptocurrencies. This still is my biggest fear. Some people would say that you don't need to worry because btc is still unstoppable but being a law abiding citizen i really don't want to be involved in something expressly said illegal by our country. Moreover what would happen to my savings stored in crypto and how would i redeem them? I think this is a scary thing.
There are still many ways to convert your earning in crypto even government ban it. You can sell it P2P  and use PayPal .

I hope what you think is not really happening in the future because this is a very detrimental thing for bitcoin holders and their investors will definitely be very disappointed if we and they have to experience events as you talk about, hopefully bitcoin will be better and of value the market will rise to the future so people who adopt bitcoin don't experience disappointment.

The scarriest thing that happen to me few years ago, I open my ethereum wallet using private keys, and Im really shocked seeing my wallet is empty. My wallet got hacked and the saddest part is the coin in my ethereum wallet is worth 1000$+.

If this will happen to me, I will blame myself, but only for a short period of time. Since the reason why it became hacked is not 100 percent caused by the platform, but by the human error. I believe that we do really commit mistakes. And what is the scariest part about it is not being hacked but not learning a lesson from the passed that we already been experience. In all of our actions there are lesson for us to carry.

I blame myself til now, my mistakes is i'm lazy securing my wallet and I thought it is secured website. But that incident happen and I already learned my lesson, I hope i can earn that much money again.
I'm sorry for your bad experience, but have you been able to find how the hacker stole your key/funds? Did he phish you with a fake page on the net?

Im not able to find the hacker, the hacker send my coins to exchange site. And I don't know how to track. Im aware that the website I always use is not a fake website. I bookmarked myetherwallet and other exchange site. Maybe the exchange site I used before has been hacked?
