There are two things im really afraid of, losing my private keys and finding out someone stole my money.

When it comes to bitcoin price, im aware of the risk involved after I decided to invest in crypto thus im prepared whatever the outcome of my investment. So if ever btc lose its value I can comprehend since btc is high volatile.

Everything need a proccess, bitcoin and cryptocurrency as whole have a value it just because a proccess. Do you remember when China was banned bitcoin, altcoin even they were thinking that blockchain is nothing a few years ago? But now did you got an information that the Chinese government will implement the blockchain technology on their country.

What it does mean? It is proccess thing. Bitcoin will going to zero (it is possible) but it needs a proccess. You will never wake up by looking at the condition of the price of bitcoin being zero, it is not impossible. You will get information first and you will find the truth and yeah you will set it if you have bitcoin.

However, this situation is far to happen since bitcoin and cryptocurrency as whole is being used by many people on this world.

That's why it is essential to always keep a backup of all the wallet information that we have, it doesn't necessarily mean that it should be electronically backed up, some times the most secured way is to create a hard copy of the information and keep it in our vault if we have, or in a place where we know it is really safe.

By the way, I think the person who buys pizza for 10,000BTC even is scarier than this.

Once upon a time a boy didn't covered his trades and lost all his crypto holding to the Bitmex liquidation engine haha
What scares me the most is governments making a common front in banning Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. That would slow down the BTC price growth, but it will still continue to exist in the "underworld" of our society. However by the nature of the technology Bitcoin cannot be literally banned. I'm sure that people would still use and find ways to do so, but the adoption rate would be very low but it would crawl until governments will be forced to lift the ban. That's my view on my fear, so it is not really a fear but a wish that doesn't happen.
The government can banned bitcoin. But this is all they can do with the word!

And this is a nice picture where they have banned bitcoin.

So don't be afraid. Because they banned bitcoin would only result in a better understanding of it, and you're right "they will also lift the ban because they will see the good things it can do to our economy.

This is the scariest that I didn't want to happen.Crypto is the great help to our lives. Bitcoin is the first digital currency which is easiest to use. Lets spread how good Bitcoin. So the goverment aware that this is everyone's needed

For me the scariest thing in cryptocurrency is when I trade on an exchange and then make a profit, after that I tried to withdraw
profit from the trading results and what happened was I could not withdraw my money from the exchanges. This really scary to me,
because my capital and the results of my efforts I can not enjoy it. This is truly a disaster, really scary to me.

Actually its more like, tomorrow you try to login but the exchange is no more. Yes it has happened before, a few times. Not in your wallet, not in your control. This is the dilemma of the trader, they have to trust their exchange, but the risk is even higher than just doing wrong moves. In some countries people are used to State protection, but that is not always the case with cryptocurrency.

Don't invest what you cannot afford to lose...

What scares me the most is when I will miss another opportunity to make enough profit on the next occurrence of the new ath. I have missed to buy btc in 2016 and automatically regret in december 2017. So I started to accumulate more additional btc to my wallet and Im making sure it won't gonna happen again.

For me, the scariest is losing my private keys because I have invested may savings to bitcoin and if my keys were stolen then I don’t know what I be like because that means I also lost my life saving. Bitcoin price going down not much because I know there’s no other way but to go up, bitcoin will always find it’s way to the up or to go up it’s just a matter of time.

Scariest? Hmm, I already experienced losing thousands of dollars in a day many times. Those shitcoins are foking scary as hell. I get used to it later on. This year I became more careful. My altcoins are in the top list because I don't want to become a victim of pump and dump once again. 2018 was a traumatic experience for me in financial terms.

Do not be surprised to lose money on altcoin because it is indeed useless shitcoin, 2018 is a matter that frightens for altcoin holders because a large disposal occurs so that thousands of dollars are invested will be lost and will only be worth a little.

The same situation i felt before but now i am feeling very positive and bullish that the market will recover and thinking my portfolio will start to get back its value. And it is really scary to invest and buy in dip because you don't if it will go much more dip.

And that's why we need to start learning from our mistake and time to move on and patience is really the key.

For me, maybe the scariest thing is when all countries in the world agree to ban Bitcoin and all crypto coins. Then, all coins will be useless and no hope for a crypto future. But I believe it won't happen since many countries have proven already that Bitcoin and altcoins are quite helpful and useful to improve the economic sector, at least creating jobs for many people.
It has a positive and negative market appreciation. People considering that it was helpful but sadly the government considers this a threat to the economic system which I supposed to think that they are right also since knowing the fact that some of us use this for money laundering, frauds, and illegal activities. We can't just put the blame on the government of banning crypto because they have also the reason why they take action of it and I believe that they also understand the situation.

Aside from affecting my personal interests such as losing private keys, wrong sending etc. What I feared the most is when the time comes that transaction fees grows bigger and bigger until it almost break even the amount of money you'll send. I'm not an expert when it comes to these things but is it really possible? Grin
By the way, Happy Halloween!

Only one word: hacker.
That's what I fear the most. No matter how good I apply security, my wallet can be hacked. Be careful, they always find loopholes in weakness. Losing because of being stolen is more painful than losing due to misses analysis. Hopefully, this bad experience does not happen again and does not happen to you all.

Well, the topic that suits Halloween very well. Many scary "fears" haunt.

I'm not scared because I don't have any BTCs. Lol
You lost your private key with 100 BTC on it is your worst nightmare. I don't know if you'll fall asleep at night thinking you lost a million dollars. That's the risks of having private key alone. There's a lot way to keep your funds. Use it as much as possible. We have web wallets, hardware wallets, keyword etc.

What are your biggest fear in crypto?
As for me, it's losing my private keys by accident. I know that the risk is minimal, but the thought of it makes me anxious from time to time. Also, I'm afraid that BTC dumps during the transaction.

Waking up one morning and knowing that the whole cryptocurrency market went down to nothing?
Or maybe finding out that all your crypto (or your private keys) was stolen or lost somehow?

By the way, Happy Halloween!

Losing private key is my worst nightmare since the day I lost my private key for blockchain wallet and also forgot the password for it and ended up losing a good amount of bitcoin, yes market dump is always pain in wrong place and I fear about my account being hacked than the market dump as I am really concerned especially about my Binance account.

Losing your private key is really a scary thing. For me, what scares me most is waking up in the morning discovering that crypto is already gone and can 't access anymore the bitcointalk forum without any prior notice. Things like this will really make me weak and become hopeless. I have used to make an income from crypto and suddenly all is gone already. I'm afraid if it will happen soon.

In my opinion, if you lose your private key, then this is the end of your career as a trader ahahah
^ Due to carelessness people got stolen or losing their private key. It's our big responsibility shoulder on taking care of our valuable stuff that has importance to us and not gets lost. The most part that I afraid when someday cryptocurrency was losing value in the market and it was forbidden in all countries and it has been implemented by their jurisdiction. But I know that is impossible to happen and I am comfortable that someday Bitcoin will lead among all currency or become number one. Nevertheless, those people who had negative faith in crypto will remain doubtful.

My biggest fear in crypto happen about a month ago when i got hacked which led to the loss over a $1K worth of BTC. i don't know this hacker was able to launch this attack successfully and steal my bitcoins but my advice is stay off free download websites like torrentz.2eu

That would definitely scare the hell out of me but seriously that ain't gonna happen ever. The crypto industry has grown too big to come down crushing  within a flash. For the safety of your funds back up your wallet keys on several places.

What are your biggest fear in crypto?

That the bug known as Proof of Work goes unsolved and my living room becomes part of the Atlantic Ocean.

Bitcoin might provide humanity with a better form of money. But is it really worth wrecking our planet in the process?  Cry

You could mitigate that fear by keeping multiple back-ups of your keys in different locations. If one of my back-ups gets corrupted or physically destroyed, it's no big deal.

Sometimes I worry that there could be a vulnerability in my wallet software, and that black hats will find it before white hats. Fingers crossed...
