What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
To learn from their mistake and try to know what caused their bitcoin to be hacked more than once. Whether it is been compromised or not.
According to a saying that claims when an incident occurs more than once, it is no longer a mistake but is instead a well-planned act that needs to be corrected so, as not to happen again. It is very bad for someone to lose his Bitcoin more than once when actually it is not supposed to be so unless the person gives out his seed phrase or connects his wallet address with a phishing site that dampers people's crypto funds.

You can't force people to like what they hate under justifiable grounds.

The fact that these people had all the rights to put down bitcoin and be scared or hate it is enough grounds as it is to actually just leave them be since everything that you would do/say with the aim of putting bitcoin in a better light or crypto for that matter will be considered as you coercing them into investing again. In my opinion the only surefire way we could attract these people back into the game is to actually just wait until bitcoin is in a better state price-wise. This may hopefully stoke their confidence into investing to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies again but we can't force nor suggest and advice them to invest again in crypto. Losing your money over a trade is something, losing it to theft is a much harder pill to swallow.

What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
I have started from the scratch more then once. For me this is one of the few things i actually know something about, and i feel i have invested too much time in bitcoin so that i could throw it away. Knowledge is power and with power you can get money. It's a saying with literacy: write what you know. Same things goes with most of the knowledge. If you have become expert in something, you can and should monetize it.

Sure, one can go back doing something else they are good at, but imho i see it as an edge that i even know something about bitcoin. Why would i throw that away and bother to learn something completely new to monetize, just because i lost my btc from time to time.

Invest carefully and cautiously, most particularly for bitcoin. Hacking is very rampant online so make sure to secure your wallet first and never disclose any personal details about your seed phrase as that could put your wallet into danger and steal all the coins you have stored in there. People lost their bitcoin due to their own carelessness, so if they will change that, their bitcoins will be safe and secured.

I have read some painful stories online about Bitcoin fans that lost their Bitcoin to hacks more than once and how they gave up because of the hacks, this made me curious about people on the forum, I will like to ask you guys how many times you have lost Bitcoin to hacks or your own mistakes, and why are you still not giving up.

Can you keep buying bitcoin if you have already get hacked like twice or more in the past?

Like a story about an American who lost his love for Bitcoin because of the hacks, I believe it's because of his own carelessness though, because you can't leave your wallet on a bench outside your home and not expect someone to steal it, and you come out and say your wallet was stolen by a thief, like what do expect?

What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
I havent experienced on losing money due to hacks of my wallet ever since i had stepped up into this market because im really that very careful when it comes on securing my private keys even though im just using 3x
flashdrives but so far i havent been hacked (hopefully not or ever). It all matters with the things that you are doing because if you do find yourself that too careless about your PK or exposing it easily on others awareness then for sure you would really be losing your money.People wont really be that doing those security-related things on the time that they wouldnt be experiencing those lose of funds and this is really that a bad habit.

Dont make yourself goes into a point that you would lose money first before you would really be mindful about security. Why you cant do it before disaster happens? You would really be able to avoid
those disasters or moments on being hacked if you are really that careful on securing your PK's and dont exposed it into other people. Advise? It is really that common on which neither make use of those HW
and keep those PK safe on others peoples awareness or possession because once exposed then say goodbye into your funds.

What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
What I can say is that "please forget about investing in Bitcoin if you can't change the way you keep it". Getting hacked more than is not usual anymore, there is certainly a problem for us, and if we still continue doing this, the same thing happen again. So, it is better to move on or make someone to keep while using our money instead of keeping it in our hands. In some instances, if we can't do the right thing, might others can do well. I'm sure it work provided that we choose a responsible person as well.
When a wallet with BTC or other cryptocurrencies is hacked and these funds are stolen, the attacker understands that he can continue to do this because he received a “reward”. If everyone who uses cryptocurrency takes better care of their wallet, passwords and other things in financial security, then they will receive these “rewards” less often. Therefore, protecting each wallet is important for the entire cryptocurrency community as a whole.

If someone got hacked not once, but twice or even multiple times then it's more than likely they are making several mistakes on their journey. There are dozens of measures you can take to protect your cryptocurrency and the more of these measures you are following, the lower the probability of your wallet being hacked. Most people do not take any security measures at all thinking it's not worth wasting their time doing it, and they are the most vulnerable to being hacked since they repeat the same mistakes over and over again like using the same passwords, usernames, email addresses, internet connection, browser, operating system, etc. The only advice you can give to such people is to take their time learning more about how hackers operate and how they can take higher security measures for their wallets.

People get hacked because they fail to secure their wallet. This is very common to all those irresponsible owners who keep investing but we’re not responsible enough to invest with caution. That is why some people get hacked because they are also the one who are giving hints to the hackers. Otherwise, if people are very careful and cautious every time they invest, then hacking will certainly be stopped. But I don’t think this is possible as people only learned their lesson after they experienced some hacking incidents.

However, the OP claims that a hacker stole his wallet more than twice. Literally, it appears that the victim of the hack does not learn. I'm not sure how much he knows; he doesn't seem to alter his communication style, and he doesn't seem to comprehend how to protect himself from hackers or what they do.

If I were the victim of the bitcoin theft, I wouldn't let it happen again; instead, I would exercise caution, educate myself on the basics of bitcoin, and steer clear of phishing and hacking. .
If we have made the same mistake several times, it would be better for us to choose to stop for a while to invest. It would be better to seek knowledge about the mistakes we made and correct them and if we feel that we already know what made us lose our bitcoins, we lost and we have corrected them how we store it well so that no one can hack it. When investing in Bitcoin, we need to have a lot of knowledge and continue to look for information about this and if we have people who can accompany us in learning about this, it is certainly better.

I have never lost my bitcoin to hacks. All cyber security measures have been activated. However if I ever lose my bitcoin to hack, the reason I will not give up is because that is the only option to financial freedom and generational wealth.

My advice to a bitcoin holder is that one should have a good idea of his wallet before depositing bitcoins. Having a good idea of which wallets are safe for bitcoin or how you should store your passwords or key phrases and then store your bitcoins.

The advice is very useful but not enough and in my opinion, we need to have complete knowledge before wanting to invest in bitcoin. Not only have knowledge about wallets and how to store passwords, but also basic knowledge about security including how to protect your computer from hacker attacks, viruses, strange links...in general, all related knowledge about bitcoin. We should not ignore anything, knowledge is never redundant or wasted. Always learn and absorb new things, don't be too stubborn and only blame when problems occur.

Everyone who hadn't got much technical knowledge about bitcoin could've experienced hack and loss of bitcoin during their early days of bitcoin usage. Personally I've experienced it on a P2P platform while converting bitcoin to cash. This is completely my mistake, because I didn't kept all the security features enabled. A scammer somehow took control of my account and transferred all my funds to another wallet. Though it was a centralised platform they weren't able to recover the funds. This happens, and further I was aware of all the security features and never stay careless while making transactions and selling. The best advice is to use all the security features and keep your bitcoin in non custodial wallet and transfer to exchange and other platforms only when there is need.
Im really sorry to hear about what happened to you. Unfortunately, many beginners face it. Im glad you learned from this and are now taking safer approach. A non-custodial wallet is indeed one of the best ways to secure your Bitcoins. After all, you hold the keys to your own house.

Add 2FA to all Bitcoin sites, remember that. Please remember that deals that look too good to be true usually are. Criminals are becoming smarter at their tricks. Some even make fake apps and websites.

So, its not enough to just set up security features; you also have to be careful at all times. Always double-check URLs and update software.

You can lose your bitcoins because of some mistake, it happens, but if you lose them a second or even a third time than it means you are not willing to learn from your mistakes, and that is a very dangerous game to play when there is money involved. And usually these people don't blame themselves, they blame bitcoin...

It is natural that if someone keeps his savings in Bitcoin for a long time and that bitcoin gets hacked by a hacker then his eagerness will be broken. If this happens more than once in one's life then it will definitely be a bit difficult for him to save bitcoins. Because that person will lose faith in Bitcoin. But what we should do as a holder is to keep our bitcoin safe. Just holding bitcoins in a wallet is not the end of the work. Where and how bitcoins are stored is also an important issue. It is my responsibility to protect my own wallet. So Bitcoin is not responsible for Bitcoin theft or hacking due to my carelessness. I will definitely adopt more advanced methods to preserve it.

My advice to a bitcoin holder is that one should have a good idea of his wallet before depositing bitcoins. Having a good idea of which wallets are safe for bitcoin or how you should store your passwords or key phrases and then store your bitcoins.

It is not easy to bear the pain of losing something that you hoped for good so if I was in their shoes I would have done so too or even worse.
I haven't gotten any Bitcoin yet but still planning and working towards it so the experience of losing Bitcoin I don't have but using what happened to others as a lesson, I will not still give up on what am doing, I'm someone who don't easily give up. There is a quote from Nigerians that says " We are Nigerians we don't know how to give up" that is just a typical me. Never give up.

Yes, I can keep buying Bitcoin even if I was hacked, so far as I have lost a dime I will make sure I double up what I a have lost. The difference will be first after losing my Bitcoin to hack I will raise an alarm and call on the professionals in Bitcoin related issues and complain to them, get advice and stick to it. So that I won't lose again

What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
My advice will be not to give up but I will say it in a way that will keep the person motivated not to give up on his way to succeed. There are six things I have written down that I keep as a secret to what ever I want to succeed with but I will share it with the person and here too on this forum;
1. HARDWORK: Don't believe in luck, believe in hard work. Stop trying to rush the process on that ever you are doing so far you have a dream don't rush the process or searching for a shortcut. There is NONE
2. PATIENCE: if you are losing the patience, you are losing the battle first nothing happens, then it happens slowly and suddenly all at once most people give up at stage one.
3. SACRIFICE; if you don't sacrifice for what you want, then what you want becomes the sacrifice. Everything has it price. The question is are you ready to pay it for the life you desire?
4. CONSISTENCY: Consistency is what transforms average into excellence without consistency, you will never achieve greater success.
5. DISCIPLINE: motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing. There will be days when you don't "FEEL" like doing it. you have to push through those days regardless of how you feel.
6. SELF CONFIDENCE: Confidence is, I'll be fine if they don't like me or what I do. There will always be someone judging you for who you are and what you want from life.
If anyone applies this 6 things to what ever they are doing, it will surely end in good results and that will be my advice to anyone at the hedge of giving up on Bitcoin.

I wrote this down from somewhere but I can't find the source and thank goodness I shared it here and I'm back to use it again

My advice would be: treat your coins like you treat fiat money in your bank account or in your wallet. Bitcoin is not some "monopoly funny money" you have to be really cautious to keep it safe.
Yeah, if you value your bitcoins then you have to treat it as if it's part of your life. Those that haven't been hacked, then that's good and I am one of those that luckily never had been a victim of it. Maybe with the background of knowing how to protect myself and I am not curious with those random emails, spams and messages that I get that I know that I shouldn't click because it could contain some virus or malware or any sort of that really helped me.

If you have lost your coins, you shouldn't blame Bitcoin because "non-refundable", "unsafe" etc but rather blame yourself you couldn't keep it. Cool
That's right, it's like protecting your own bank just as what we know what it's like to be owning Bitcoin. There's no other people that should be responsible for keeping our own bitcoins but us.

Not just shitcons,
Most of the cryptocurrency investors of our time have the idea that, they could easily get rich just by investing. Yes. You could make some profit but, that’s more reassuring with bitcoin. Altcoins might have certain capabilities to enrich you but, that’s one out of a thousand of them out there and it’s a matter of luck to find that one altcoin that would boom. You can’t be an expert about it.

Trading certainly requires a fairly extensive knowledge of how to do technical analysis and Fundamental analysis.
Not by just guessing because trading is related to how a person analyzes the market and knows when to buy and sell.

There will be no easy scenario in trading, as many professional traders guard their positions.
Who can't hold on then they will lose.

Holding Bitcoin and continuing to be patient will give good results rather than having to trade quickly but not understanding the trading science needed.

Back to the topic of the thread the OP is discussing, Security is very important for trading and investment to run well.
So that there will be no loss or hacking that makes someone leave and no longer want to deal with Bitcoin or crypto.
Obviously, they have been mentally damaged by the hacking incident, but it will be a valuable lesson.

The only advice that I could give them is to be more careful next time but if will still fail and end up the same, they'd rather choose to leave and forget about investing in crypto. We can say that even though all of us have the opportunity to invest but it doesn't mean that we all become successful, some will fail and lose faith. There is no reason to continue doing this if we still fail repetitively as we are the ones to suffer more with no hope of changing the course. Because it was not the problem with the market but it was on us and no matter what we do, it still ended up the same.
Actually no, if you buy Bitcoin and hold it at least for four years, you will make some money because Bitcoin price should be rise after super cycle. The reason why some people still not able to make profit in cryptocurrency is they're choose to invest in shitcoins.

Other think of trading even with zero experience on trading. Trading is highly professionalized and filled with very many experienced traders and you would be gaming with them all with your inexperience. How do you profit in such scenario. It’s going to be errors after errors and no one would be going easy on you.

Buy bitcoin and hold becomes the safe zone for those who can have patience.
