What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
It is not easy to change the mindset of someone to embrace bitcoin back again after being hacked by severally by hackers.  The reason things like this happens continuously is because things are not been done properly. For hackers or scammers to succeed in getting someone that means the person is careless in the manner in which data's of the wallet are been handled.  So the first thing to do before  giving advice to the person is to know how the person handles security aspects of the wallet,  and give more knowledge on how things should be done ,with this the person can see reason to come back again.

I have read some painful stories online about Bitcoin fans that lost their Bitcoin to hacks more than once and how they gave up because of the hacks, this made me curious about people on the forum, I will like to ask you guys how many times you have lost Bitcoin to hacks or your own mistakes, and why are you still not giving up.

Can you keep buying bitcoin if you have already get hacked like twice or more in the past?

We shouldn't give up because of mistakes that happened in the past, if we lost Bitcoin to hack, it wasn't the fault of Bitcoin but our fault and it's not because we did it knowingly but due to we not having the right updates. When I lost Bitcoin to hack was when I had Bitcoin stor e in an exchange, during that period I didn't know it was a bad step to keep Bitcoin on exchanges, I thought it would be safer been there but I lost my Bitcoin although it wasn't a very large amount.

That experience didn't make me stop investing in Bitcoin but it made me to be more careful of where I keep my Bitcoin. If we give up because of mistakes we made in the past then we'll regret it in the future when other individuals make profits from Bitcoin but we don't.

Like a story about an American who lost his love for Bitcoin because of the hacks, I believe it's because of his own carelessness though, because you can't leave your wallet on a bench outside your home and not expect someone to steal it, and you come out and say your wallet was stolen by a thief, like what do expect?

What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?

First off, I've never been hacked, and I didn't pray to got hack because it's painful. If you've been saving bitcoin for a while and it gets stolen, it's like losing something important in your life since you won't be able to feel good for a few days. And based on the account you give, I believe the individual was reckless, which is why they broke into his wallet, As someone who keeps bitcoin in a wallet, you must secure it thoroughly and exercise good judgement so that, in the event that something were to happen to it, you would be aware of it. If you don't divulge your private key or wallet password to anyone, I don't believe that anyone could easily gain access to your wallet.

I want everyone to understand that even con artists look for an opening before they take advantage of someone. They will research you and start from there if they discover that you have a weak wallet security habit. This is the reason why some people are reluctant to engage in any investment-related activities, including those involving bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, as they believe such activities to be insecure and at risk of being hacked by con artists. Therefore, I advise everyone to exercise caution and take great care to secure their wallets, as doing so will prevent others from changing their minds about investing in bitcoin if someone gets hacked and then loses interest in it.

I have never lost any Bitcoins/crypto due to being hacked. I can't guarantee that my PC won't get hacked in the future.
I don't know what's the feeling of losing big amounts of BTC just because your computer was hacked. It probably sucks.
Nobody is 100% safe online, but the big difference is the crypto transactions being irreversible. If somebody hacks your bank account, you just call the bank and the bank might refund your money(after they conduct an investigation). If your BTC/crypto wallet gets hacked, your coins are lost forever. Maybe that's why the victims of crypto scams and hacks get disappointed of Bitcoin.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
You can't convince everyone to keep running the same track, it's a personal choice. The money involved makes a mark on their mind that nothing can heal at all. The ones who know how to secure their wallets and keeping their devices safe will be able to avoid such thing but those who can't will have difficulty learning them fresh.

Keep in mind that it is their hard earned money that we are discussing about, not money obtained from illegal sources. So it's normal to be emotional about it.

Hence I would not bother about this, rather they have to learn cybersecurity basics first.

I read your post and what is get from this is that the person who has lost their Bitcoin wallet same as in the story several times or been hacked again and again is to give up on investing in Bitcoin, because you can't give advice to the person to invest in bitcoin again as they are careless and loss or get hacked again and again because of their own stupidity or carelessness. To stay safe from hackers you need to buy a hardware or offline wallet which is the best and safest for you but also you need to take serious care of your wallet to not let everywhere like in the story who leaves his wallet outside his home.

I have not experience this situation yet. But if you're an investor and had an experienced of your wallet got hacked twice or more before, you'll question yourself right? What's lacking, on why you keep experiencing this? Hacking is traumatizing especially if the money involved is huge. So it's understandable if this can cause an investor to quit. Well, for me I will still buy because the problem is not Bitcoin itself but my negligence.

In every mistake we learned a lesson. So take the past experiences as guide to not repeat the same mistakes again. Be extra careful and do your research on how to keep your Bitcoin safe.

Giving up is not the solution than to learn lesson from the past mistakes you made, and do everything possible within your capacity not to allow such hackers to have access to your wallet anymore. Saving your seeds phrase inside your phone or computer is not advisable for Bitcoin users because is the easiest way anybody can steal your money without your permission from your wallet, because all they need to have access to your wallet are inside your phone or computer. I will advise you to write the seeds phrase down and keep them in a place where nobody can have access apart from you alone, which is the best way to secure your Bitcoin in your wallet for future use.

In this world, there are various people who cannot be patient when something bad happens to them; instead, they will take action. For example, when someone loses Bitcoin to hackers, it might be a close relative who knows specifics about your wallet or you do not safeguard your wallet account. Even if they hack my wallet, I will continue to buy Bitcoin because everything you do is a test, and you will learn from your mistakes. It will be difficult for someone to lose his Bitcoin twice, and if you lose your Bitcoin twice, I believe you do not secure your wallet well. Because without sufficient security, a hacker can easily gain access to your Bitcoin.

What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
Give straight-to-the-point advice.  They must learn first the basic security of the internet, like identifying scams or hacks. Basic security, I believe every one of us can learn that. Because even how much money you have and you can't protect it even in basic safety precaution, it will be not safe.

It will take them more time to rekindle their love for Bitcoin, at least until they realize that the fault lies within themselves, not with Bitcoin. We all agree that Bitcoin has never harmed us, even if it comes in the form of volatility, but I believe that's one of Bitcoin's characteristics whose consequences should be understood from the outset.

Imparting some lessons to prevent them from repeating past mistakes might make them think twice about leaving Bitcoin.

In this environment we can discuss more openly, not only bitcoin but also altcoins are things that hackers target to target the objects within it. I have also experienced a few attacks and damage to my wallet, but what I learned was more about my own mistakes during use to recover later.

New people appear in this market and they pay little attention to security as well as easily fall into traps in cyberspace, sometimes warnings appear a lot but ignoring them makes them pay the price. In the process of continuing, before these challenges I think it is a failure, because it is clear that this is an opportunity that not everyone is aware of, so we should update and adapt to changes in the process.

Instant cryptocurrency exchange with own reserves!
As long as I have been investing in Bitcoin and trading here, I have never experienced a major hack. But I sent some fraction of my bitcoin amount to wrong address but till now I didn't encounter any scammer.

I guess most of us made this wrong address mistake at some point. I guess I did this a while ago and ver recently, I was confused with the chain. I was trying to withdraw USDT to a TRC-20 chain while I selected the ERC-20 chain. Apart from the wrong address by mistakes, I wasn't targeted by hackers yet. I guess most of us already know about the clipboard hack as well. If someone's device or browser get hacked, if victim try to copy a address to send funds, a different address get copied and the victim send the fund to hackers address. Which is why crypto users need to double check the address before sending the funds.

I have to admit that I have been hacked once and that's something blessing in disguise. That event told me that Bitcoin is something that can be taken away from you and there is no way to recover it, like we have a system in Banks. That incident made me take necessary actions to protect my Bitcoins and till now I am safe. I have been hacked once but I won't let anyone do it second time.

What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?

There is no advice in this case other than they need to add more knowledge, lack of knowledge is the cause of all problems. Instead of advising them to quickly buy back the lost bitcoins, I advise him to supplement his knowledge about security and how to store bitcoins before intending to buy back bitcoins.

But to be honest, losing bitcoin once is understandable, but if someone loses multiple times or more then it is really a big problem. If they still cannot fix that, then they should not continue to invest in bitcoin.

Can you keep buying bitcoin if you have already get hacked like twice or more in the past?

✂️?
As long as I have been investing in Bitcoin and trading here, I have never experienced a major hack. But I sent some fraction of my bitcoin amount to wrong address but till now I didn't encounter any scammer. As much as I trade carefully, I stay away from fraudsters and take enough precautions to prevent any fraudsters from hacking my wallet. However, even though I have encountered fraudsters investing in bitcoins and lost half of my wallets after being hacked, in the future. Then I will definitely buy bitcoins again later with my earnings and try to hold on to them. In my case, if I buy bitcoins, and they get hacked, then I must change my mindset later on to buy more bitcoins and invest cautiously in the future.

What advice is worth passing out to people who have lost their Bitcoin more than once and are on the hedge of giving up?
I think for those that have lost small amounts, it's still a horrifying experience that they have never experienced so it's just the same thing that I'll say even for those that have been hacked with huge amounts.

As long as you live, there's hope.

Yes, we hear this a lot but that's a true statement. It's not the end of the world and you can always start but a lesson has been already taught to them that they need to be wiser in keeping their wallet and making themselves vulnerable from hacks through how they browse the internet.

You own the pen
It depends on your source of income because if it happens again and you don't have any alternatives to fill your essential needs because you lost that money once again, it would be a disaster and my advice is to keep it slow and surely by acquiring more knowledge on how to prevent yourself from getting hack and just invest a little amount of money from your salary until you will become expert on keeping your bitcoins safe and secured.

"fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me". There's a high chance that such person will get hacked a third time, because they clearly failed to learn from the first time. It's best for them to stay away from Bitcoin, it's not like this is the only investment option in the world.

People can get hacked into everything online. Emails, messages, videos, photos, etc. So if a person feels because of the hacks you cannot buy or own Bitcoin then the person is not ready.
There are other accounts on your phone. Your bank account is on your phone together with other payment systems which can all get hacked if you're not careful.
Getting hacked shouldn't be a reason to discourage you if you know why you want to. It should be like a lesson.

Take your privacy and security seriously. Most people just read stuff about security but as too lazy or nonchalant to carry those instructions out. They have the "it won't happen to me attitude".
It can happen to anyone that doesn't take his security seriously.

I won't advise anyone who's been hacked before to try Bitcoin again so I don't feel partly responsible when shit happens again, but if he still wants to try again, I'll tell him to take the privacy and security tips very seriously and also be on the lookout for updated security tips because hacker and scammers are getting pretty innovative too.
