i use electrum coz it has speed with low resource usage and no need to download or backup easy to use, open source code. They use AES-256-CBC Encryption. Useful for multiple payment. Support to cold wallet and also i like their logo Cheesy

From The results of the poll, Web wallets is coming up top as the majority. Myself, I make use of web wallets ranging from coinbase , LocalBTC & some from Exchanges (Not really a wallet, But works fine for a trading account). I've Never tried the traditional bitcoin core wallet before though.
I am very disappointed by the number of people using web wallets, if you are not in sole and complete possetion of the private keys, you don't have any bitcoin, the bitcoin community would will be hit hard if when the blockchain wallet is hacked.
Also, I would like to make clear that just that it is called "blockchain" does not make it the "official bitcoin wallet", the closest thing I can think of to an "official wallet" is Bitcoin Core.

I'm using mobile wallet (mycelium) I much prefer using my android for bitcoins, as mycelium have the feature to access your private keys as you owned them, and I can signed message there to prove that I owned those address. And also i'm using web wallet (coins.ph) this is only for converting my bitcoin to fiat so I can use them locally (this wallet service is exclusive for people lives in Philippines). I don't recommend to use the same wallet I used, but for security reasons much better if you use hardware, desktop wallets and paper wallets.

A light wallet on a computer not connected to the internet and then a different computer to broadcast the transaction is the ideal set up Wink

as you can see the clear winner is web wallet because its much safer and rather quicker, I remember I once lost bitcoins because the core wallet I did not had proper knowledge and when I rebooted my PC with windows 10 ( that time latest ) I lot some coins Sad .. so I also voted for web wallets.

I use the wallet on the site Blockchain.com I start to use it after the advice of my boyfriend, he is longer than me in the bitcoin world and he recommended me that site as the most useful and saved.
yes that is a good choice, my first choice is also blockchain because blockchain is trusted and reliable online wallet. although the other wallets are also so mcuh secure and they have their own security level but still i will prefer blockchain.

Wow, it's a surprise that the Full Node & Lightweight wallets are the top ones after the Web Wallet in this poll. I totally prefer having a web wallet for daily transaction, I mean it's way easier to manage your funds like that & send any pocket money to paper wallets. I find the Full Node and the Lightweight one totally uncomfortable to use, and having to use it only on my PC makes it even more painful.. But a tip I would share with everyone is: never have thousands of dollars, maybe even hundreds, in your Web Wallet if you don't want to spend it in the following days. You never know how you can lose it!

use bitcoin core full node wallet, that's the one I've been using for many years, so it is good. I don't like web wallets as so many online wallets have been hacked so it is not safe.

two of the options in this poll are not even a wallet. such as exchange
Many people keep coins on exchanges, this was more popular before the mtgox crash.
(i have no idea what faucet credit is!)
This is kind of a joke, faucet credit is accumulated coin in a faucet that is not big enough to be cashed out.
and physical bitcoin (this one is a collectible not a wallet.)
Many Casacius Coins have more coin added to them, some time ago, BTCC started a thread recomending people to store coins in their chips:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/physical-hardware-m-of-n-multisig-using-btcc-bitcoin-chips-1696307
and the poll should be multi choice not single choice, because technically anybody should be using multiple wallets in my opinion. at least two: one hot wallet for spending and one cold for long term storage.
True, but it seems to late to change now.
and my cold storage is not in the poll Cheesy
i use a live linux with its network removed and encrypted for log in with Electrum on it.
You use a whole computer just for a bitcoin wallet?

I use blockchain and private wallet (wallet on computer). But I usually use private wallet for cold storage because it's faster and safer than the others.
I sometimes use blockchain for daily investing and purchase online. it's very useful for this purpose.

A couple of web wallets right now, probably buying a hardware wallet in the next months for added safety.

I prefer web wallet as its easy to use and multiple options for cashouts/convert to fiat, in case i need money. this is the best choice due to slow internet speeds and daily capping, i dont need to download to whole thing and sync regularly.

I like online wallet like blockchain.info, or electrum light wallet. I don't need to the huge blockchain, which is the future trend.

There is a thread about recomendations for the best wallet to use, but not all practice what they preach, so this poll is to see what people are actually using.
I understand that some people use multiple wallets of different kinds, so this poll asks which wallet is most used, this can be measured either by quantity of bitcoin or ammount of transactions.

i am use web wallet because i feel this is more easy to open wherever and whenever
