I've experienced this on my Rollbit & Stake account, but it wasn't because of a problem on the platform side, I forgot my password which made me unable to log into the platform and then I requested a new password via the "Forgot Password" menu. From the two platforms I mentioned, all the problems I experienced were resolved smoothly.
If we experience a problem related to a platform, the way to solve it's by communicating with the platform (as I did). SportyBet isn't a new platform, so I think the problem he's experiencing isn't from the platform, why doesn't he try the "Forgot Password" menu?, I see that it requires a cellphone number for authentication, if it was really his account he would have easily solved the problem and can log back into the platform.
Exactly. The possible problem with that is because the gambler or the person who won a huge amount of money from his account doesn't know his own password, or he has forgotten it and can't remember the password, and even if he will do Forgot Password, if he just creates an account without securing the password, even the email he will use, then expect that there will be no way of accessing the account anymore. I know the platform may help in some way, but the thing is, when it comes to account recovery, they could not easily do it because what is the proof that it is your account? How can they be sure that it's yours and not just someone else's? There are procedures to be followed, and as a user of the platform, you are responsible for your account because it's impossible that the problem is caused by the platform; if so, they should be sanctioned, but in the case of the person in the story, it's not; he simply doesn't remember his password.
We can consider the credibility or level of trust in a platform if the platform has just been established, but, in this case we can't do that considering that Sportybet has been established since 2013, they already have built up trust. It could be that the error is on the user's side.
As I said before that I've tried "Forgot Password" on the platform that @OP is referring to and it requires authentication, if the account really belongs to him, he should be able to easily resolve this issue without having to raise it in the media.
