I'm not really a fan of Superstars which always color the club. I am more inclined to the club who have good consolidation for each player who can win the match. Usually, when superstar gone, that club will lost their identity, and it also affects with performance overall club. Besides to fix and strengthening the team, usually club recruits a superstar to increase their prestige, then when his gone, the club will lose their performance also and of course, will also lose their fans following the superstar go.

Well since I am a long time supporter of Borussia Dortmund I think our fan base had suffered the most losses of all European top teams. SOme people in this forum always write Dortmund wants to develop and sell players to make money which is total nonsense. I they ALWAYS offer these players new contracts with increased salary but they (and especially their managers and consultants) always want to move on to some bigger team to earn even more money.

So over the past years we lost players like Haaland, Bellingham, Sancho, Dembele, Aubameyang and others. Tough blow for every team that wants to participate in the UCL but thanks for a good scouting the next star is always around the corner.

Well, without any doubt a superstar player is more likely an asset for a team and thus his presence in the team is what makes fans and team supporters confident about the team or club.
