In crypto betting platforms I guess you mean sportsbook, yeah?
he didnt say sportbooks and crypto betting platform does not always mean to sportsbook but it also means gambling/casino in general  .

Also it's another great experience when casino users are able to watch live translation stream through their favourite casino, it also makes them more comfortable to bet on live bets.
Nothing to talk about good support and fast payments, this of course is needed in any way.
agree on all those stuffs . i like live bets because it makes me more confident that they are real and aside from that i like instant withdrawals and instant deposits because some gambling sites are still doing it manually and its hassel tbh  . laslty the support is verry important   . some sites have delayed cs

Compare rates on different exchanges & swap.
I wanted to create a thread to get a general idea of what you look for when you're betting with your Crypto's.

I'm a developer myself & building a betting platform right now - I thought where better than here to ask for advice!

I would say provable fair, fast withdrawal, transparency, mobile friendly platform, attractiveness.
I also like decentralized gambling platform that doesn't hold gamblers funds. I will still use the centralized gambling platforms if they are trustworthy, have good reputation on this forum and have multiple games to gamble on.

Just look to sportsbooks (doesn't matter whether it's cryptocurrency based or not) and dig further why they are popular, it's not only because of advertisement unlike Heineken.
People love when they have possibility to bet on a lot of matches, to be available almost every match. Along with it people also like when there are variety options of betting on these matches which includes who will score first, how many corners, tickets and etc.
Also it's another great experience when casino users are able to watch live translation stream through their favourite casino, it also makes them more comfortable to bet on live bets.

Hey, what's the game that you want to develop? is it a dice? a sportsbetting site? or what do you prefer?

You as a developer I know that you can make it and since all of those concerns by a typical gambler has already mentioned. I think I'll add up only that build up a team that you can trust. Be transparent in allyou do which you should gain reputation through it.

Obviously everything from our desire in gambling sites has been already mentioned so nothing to add more

But never forget that the site must be “User friendly at all time, and never fool even single gambler “because in this field Reputaion is the most important thing to stay longer and to build your site positively

I suggest you to visit the most popular crypto betting sites that has good player base numbers. It is not hard thing to do to find those popular sites, once you find them then visit it one by one and check yourself what features are available on the sites. Other thing you can do, visit the ANN thread of the sites then check why they have many active players, check the reviews, etc.
I do not want to answer your question in details because it has been discussed so many times in this board. You can try to search for the same topic as well so you'll know what the community wants related to crypto betting platform.

It's great that you are seeking the inputs from the community. Let me tell you few factors which helps us to distinguish one platform from others,

1. No KYC
2. Provably fairness
3. Low house egde
4. Support team manned by actual humans, not bots
5. Easy and simple interface yet eye catchy design
6. Gambling operater's license with a mention of office address that can be verified through the company registry of the operating country
7. Instant withdrawals

I believe, these things really set a crypto casino different from the crowd. Hope this helps!

But how we, as users, can determine that a site do have a large bankroll? Honestly, it's a private matter to the gambling owners so no way we can check it.

It's literally in the post above yours - sign a message.

The size of bankroll is interesting. I guess some sort of security knowing that if you win big the site will be able to pay you out is important. Wonder how I can achieve that? (Showing proof)

Again, sign a message with an address holding XXX BTC.

I don't see yet a gambling site operators show proofs on their bankroll

Some do. For example yolodice cold wallet addresses:

Of course, It's a must.

Someone already mentioned here some ways that you can do to prove to others that you do have enough bankroll to cover all winnings. I don't see yet a gambling site operators show proofs on their bankroll but instead, these owners put up some efforts to promotions and marketing.

It should be provably-fair, easy access, no KYC, fast withdrawal and active support and developers, and also a good user interface and games. There are a lot of online gambling sites that is popping out and only those who have this characteristics in their platform and services gain solid supporters and active players. Not to mention good promotion and give aways.

you cant assess the trustworthiness of a new site. it will take time to establish their reputation in the market. but if you are a new gambling site and you dont have anything to prove to the players yet, one way is acquiring a decent gambling license if you can afford one. this means, you are serious about this business and not just a fly-by-night gambling website.

For a crypto gambling site, signing a message showing the size of bankroll would be far more serious than any license. Still doesn't prove trustworthiness though.

What is sought is the basics, and then what comes is part of what you want to achieve, but you can say that:

Security.
No KYC.
Instant withdrawals.
Support for any problem with quick response.
Trust.
Promotions
Awards.

Good customer support, non-KYC, more accepted crypto, etc. are mandatory things to have so its kind of obvious that any site should have this especially the new ones in the industry.

I'm more concern about large bankroll.

But how we, as users, can determine that a site do have a large bankroll? Honestly, it's a private matter to the gambling owners so no way we can check it.

However, on my own criteria, once I saw a new crypto sports betting site doing paid advertisements, wonderful promotions, stunning website design, serious marketing to the point that they are spending money on it (establishing sig campaigns, buying advertisement space etc.), "maybe" I can put a shot betting at these sites.

So when I go to a betting site I prefer three main things: Trustworthiness, timely and efficient deposits/cashouts, and good support.

Trustworthiness is a major thing for me because I don't want to deposit and have them run off with my money. I would want the platform to receive my money and have it ready for me to play by one or two confirmations(standard protections against double spends which I don't mind), and if there are any problems a good support should be able to help me fix them(or try to fix them) with decently fast response times(or at least a live chat but that isn't really something I worry about too much, long as it doesn't take a week or something to respond or something then I'm fine with a couple hours/a day). I don't really mind KYC but I would prefer to not send it over.
How would you know if a site is trustworthy by looking at it?
I'm sorry to join in but for me, it is how the technical support would handle their customers if there is a problem in whatsoever in your website. By then, the people will give you a review as you gather more and more customers to play in your gambling platform. Either negative or positive it still up to you to handle us/them.

if not, it will take time and many players to attest the credibility of the site, good feedback and reviews from previous players will give you insights on how that site is treating its clients.
and on my end, no kyc, fast response of the support, easy txs for deposit and withdrawal, low house edge, provably fair of course!
