As i see in many people who stop using bitcoin,i think they stop using bitcoin because they have no idea to make their bitcoin grown up and have better influence in their life..
That't ture, anyone who know how to take right advantage of bitcoin and how to earn bitcoin they will leave bitcoin. I also left bitcoin when I get tired using faucets and can't even earned a single dollar, but I adopt bitcoin again and now I am happy with it.

Other reason can be that people more trust their banks than some virtual currency without regulation, outside of law, decentralized etc.

why should gambling stop some one from using bitcoin. I think there is no concern of bitcoin with bicoin. it is not necessary that those people who are using bitcoin must be attached with gambling. I am earning from investing bitcoin and also fro a signature campaign. but I never do gambling. I use my earning for my family requirements. People will not go into bitcoin and start massively gambling their money away :S What kind of logic is that?
Most people that never used bitcoin don't know the possibilities and perhaps are also afraid since bitcoin's users need some technical background.
The people who left bitcoin, fell for some ponzi/ scam and are hating it because of that. But eventually those people are coming back, since they already know what bitcon is and what is can do.

yeah it might just be because my friend also suffered a big defeat in gambling and he broke me massively in bitcoin. and he stopped right then and there from bitcoin. perhaps it is the proof

yes some people are still many who do not understand bitcoin seriously. they only see the position bitcoin as a financial payment media. and if in eksplor when bitcoin could be a job that promises great income. people who stop using bitcoin is that they could not accept renewal of technology.ignorance indeed plays a big role when it comes to people leaving bitcoin or not willing to use bitcoin. the thing is that it will only cost an average person around 30 minutes to understand the basic things of bitcoin. after that he/she can decide whether or not to dive deeper into the technical aspects of bitcoin. that's up to them. just doing some unbiased research will help to convince the average joe to adopt bitcoin, or at least to give it a fair chance. they will realize that bitcoin stands for freedom.
30 minutes? I wonder what are those basic things that you were referring to. There's a lot of things you have to learn in bitcoin, I believe that trying to learn bitcoin in 30 minutes will only result to confusion after exploring the bitcoin world itself. Maybe those 30 minutes will only teach you things like "you can buy goods using BTC", "you can gamble using BTC", and stuffs like that. It's not enough knowledge for a bitcoiner. Those kind of things are only common sense IMHO since bitcoin is a currency, of course you can buy, gamble, and invest.
You have to tell them your bitcoin story so that they would be fully aware of the dangers out there like scammers, identity thieves, and ponzi scams. 30 minutes just isn't enough to lecture someone who's too afraid to try bitcoin.

Rather, I think it's the bad image that has been cast over what bitcoin is used for that is creating doubts over the public about the morality of bitcoin.

i agree. sadly the media has always been mostly against bitcoin especially whenever it is in their favor and most of the time they are just spreading the negative news because it is hot.
and this negative publicity is one of the biggest obstacles in front of bitcoin.
I think these are people who are against bitcoin, and I am seeing that they are more active on media, if they are more active then why the supporters of bitcoin are not much that active? We also have to be more active and have to spread it to every corner of the world.
Because no matter how much we explain to people that bitcoin is actually good for the society and to them as an individual, the negativity on their mind still wins. People will only hear what they want to hear. They want to hear that bitcoin is bad that's why that's the only thing they believe.
What's stopping them from using bitcoin is fear. Fear that someone would be after their lives when in fact, they are fully anonymous when it comes to bitcoin. Unless if they upload their photo and other personal info and say that a wallet belongs to them, of course.
I think everyone thinks that the BTC as digital currencies are dangerous, because they still do not have knowledge of the bitcoin and plus there has been no recommendation from the corporate, Government, and people are popular for using Bitcoin. 99% of people will want to use something if they are recommended by famous people, companies, and Government.
