Because no matter how much we explain to people that bitcoin is actually good for the society and to them as an individual, the negativity on their mind still wins. People will only hear what they want to hear. They want to hear that bitcoin is bad that's why that's the only thing they believe.

What's stopping them from using bitcoin is fear. Fear that someone would be after their lives when in fact, they are fully anonymous when it comes to bitcoin. Unless if they upload their photo and other personal info and say that a wallet belongs to them, of course. Roll Eyes

I think everyone thinks that the BTC as digital currencies are dangerous, because they still do not have knowledge of the bitcoin and plus there has been no recommendation from the corporate, Government, and people are popular for using Bitcoin. 99% of people will want to use something if they are recommended by famous people, companies, and Government.

Yes that's what it is ,bitcoin for them is just a wasting of time and it has nothing in the market .just like in romania my friend said that they already knew bitcoin but for the romanian bitcoin is just a stuff.

Not that. Majority of people are narrow minded and consider it to be a high risk rather than knowing the actual technology and success behind it.

Also most of them nowadays think of avoiding it as majority of illegal activities are being carried out with bitcoins and they fear of getting caught in the middle of something.

Most of my friends don't know about it. I first heard of bitcoin when Backpage stopped taking cc's. It's confusing and the price changes don't help. I think if a big stores like Amazon, Target, or Walmart took a risk on it, it could grow in popularity.

No its just the fact that it has no media attention and if it has media attention its mostly always bad about the bitcoin,

what are the rules regarding escrows? and how safe are they on this forum? i have seen the "big 3" and honestly they look trustworthy, any advice you could give regarding transactions? i have lot's of years in me spent on hf and such so i'm not an idiot, but still rules are always a little different...

agreed! scammers can be avoided with enough precaution, but the fluctuation is really worrisome,
bitcoin may be rising right now but investors are not looking at the price but on the fluctuation

some people dont want to try new things or currencies unless they know 1-00% about it. When it comes to bitcoin some people are always confused about confirmation and blocks, its like they want to live with what they know. Also lack of knowledge is the main issue here as people dont have any knowledge about it so they hesitate in using it or adapting it.

may be in your area but in our area. not a single electronic media is doing so. I never heare news about bitcoin on electronic media or on print meidia. they are still silent or may be do not know about bitcoin.

That's true and I'm one of them, when I was still a newbie in bitcoin and still I'm not in this bitcoin, I tried to invest in one of the hyip that I know.
Only one time I get profit there and after re-investing, since I'm newbie I don't know that hyip are scams, so I trusted them.
But when, I'm trying to cash out my money , worst part happens. The site ran away, but after that I became a stronger person in bitcoin and I use
to fight now against hyips/ponzis so that other people will not experience what I've experience.

Yeah that's one of the reason for sure the people stops to use bitcoin, because they got victimized by those scamming sites and investment schemes.
Maybe their hard earned bitcoins was risked their and the site ran away from them. Of course, it hurts their feeling and after that they hated and stop
