Sorry I haven't gone in here in a few days, been busy with other stuff. However, I've been full on energy this entire time! XD. I'm loving it man.
In my opinion not eating meat is a very easy position to defend as it wins in every single aspect. Like I stated earlier, there is no argument you can find where consuming meat is necessary at all in this day and age. Not eating meat simply wins every single aspect you can talk about, health, longetivity, nutrition, economy, taste, saving money, energy, morality, etc. While on the other hand, eating meat is just extremely unnecessary, a toll on the environment, very unhealthy, causes death to innocent animals, and the only people who still follow that belief are people who are not willing to learn about the truth.
Pretty much the only reason people eat meat these days is that they were brought up that way, and it was taught to them that meat had protein (so does every plant food out there) and that for some reason you needed to eat it. For whatever reason. Kind of ridiculous now that I have furthered my knowledge and when I think back on what I used to do. I mean what was the reason why I ate it in the first place? No reason at all, just because I thought it was the normal thing to do. It's so unnecessary, there was literally no point in consuming it as I would have been much better off doing the opposite. Also most people will never question it, they think it's normal, so it's okay.
For example, if you are visiting these forums, most likely you come from a privileged society. You probably buy those plastic water bottles for $1 not realizing how stupid the companies are that make them. These bottles are made from plastic that will last for millions of years, while their one-time usage of storing tap water lasts only but a few minutes. Complete waste!
They often hide these dumps behind big walls, away from society, away from where you can see them. So most people go around their life thinking, Ah that one water bottle won't make a difference, let's not recycle and let's just throw it away like normal. Just goes to show how irresponsible and ignorant to the real issues a lot of people can be. Here's a body of water so polluted with garbage you don't even see the water underneath:
Yep. You know a large amount people voted for Obama just because he was black? They didn't listen to his opinion, his debates, what he argued for. They voted for him just because he was black. That's the reality of the world that we live in. Lots of ignorant people going about their day to day life not questioning why they act certain ways and they have no cause in life to fight for, no struggle.
Anyway I'll end this post with a quote from a guy who stopped eating meat:
"While undertaking this experiement, I noted a few changes in my body. I lost 5 pounds of body fat, going from 11% body fat to 8%, though I was eating as much as I wanted (anywhere from 3,600 to 4,400 calories a day).
I also noticed insane athletic recovery. I’m no Ironman triathlete, but I do like to get out there and hit it hard when I can. I had one day where I did 22 miles commuting on my bike, a superslow strength training workout at lunch, and 2 hours of footbag at night. The next morning I woke up fresh as a daisy not an ounce of soreness.
I slept better. I felt clear-headed. I was more productive at work.
I just
felt better."
- This guy above did something very special by the way so let me know if you're interested in doing something similar to him to get similar results and I'll fill you in.
What's the best way to prevent death?
