And God said, "See, I have given you every herb [that] yields seed which [is] on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. "Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for food"; and it was so. Genesis 1:29-30

This is where we have many other contradictions. The bible says you can't eat many things: shellfish, pig, camel, rock badger, rabbit, eagle, vulture, buzzard, falcon, raven, crow, ostrich, owl, seagull, hawk, pelican, stork, heron, bat, winged insects that walk on four legs (unless they have joints to jump with like grasshoppers), bear, mole, mouse, lizard, gecko, crocodile, chameleon and snail.

Lmao.  Nice.

Edit:  Just so I can contribute something, I find it interesting that, when arguing from the scientific viewpoint isn't effective, they go for the Bible.

Thank you for your kind reply.

Gonna put out some live traps for bunnies.

Catch'em in the live trap, if they are right for slaughter and eating, a .22 to the head and the bunny heads for the table.

If not food quality; Mommy Bunny, baby, etc, just open the door and the bunny runs away to be caught another day.

We got like 89 gazillion bunnies around here, so no ecological loss and tasty stew, etc.

Nice furry skins also which I tan.

Pretty much the only reason people eat meat these days is that they were brought up that way, and it was taught to them that meat had protein (so does every plant food out there) and that for some reason you needed to eat it. For whatever reason. Kind of ridiculous now that I have furthered my knowledge and when I think back on what I used to do. I mean what was the reason why I ate it in the first place? No reason at all, just because I thought it was the normal thing to do. It's so unnecessary, there was literally no point in consuming it as I would have been much better off doing the opposite. Also most people will never question it, they think it's normal, so it's okay.

I think that's a good point. A similar comparison is religion. If you're brought up in free-thinking household it's very unlikely you'll grow up and pick up a Bible or Koran and think yep, this is legit and the way to go.

Eating meat is a great thing :)I just cannot go to bed if i didnt ate some animal Smiley
BR,
Gondel

Sounds like you're addicted if you need meat to get out of bed, but I guess we can file this comment under the 'childish meat-eater yet again tries to agitative non-meat eaters with puerility' category  Cheesy.

Sorry I haven't gone in here in a few days, been busy with other stuff. However, I've been full on energy this entire time! XD. I'm loving it man.

In my opinion not eating meat is a very easy position to defend as it wins in every single aspect. Like I stated earlier, there is no argument you can find where consuming meat is necessary at all in this day and age. Not eating meat simply wins every single aspect you can talk about, health, longetivity, nutrition, economy, taste, saving money, energy, morality, etc. While on the other hand, eating meat is just extremely unnecessary, a toll on the environment, very unhealthy, causes death to innocent animals, and the only people who still follow that belief are people who are not willing to learn about the truth.

For example, if you are visiting these forums, most likely you come from a privileged society. You probably buy those plastic water bottles for $1 not realizing how stupid the companies are that make them. These bottles are made from plastic that will last for millions of years, while their one-time usage of storing tap water lasts only but a few minutes. Complete waste!

They often hide these dumps behind big walls, away from society, away from where you can see them. So most people go around their life thinking, Ah that one water bottle won't make a difference, let's not recycle and let's just throw it away like normal. Just goes to show how irresponsible and ignorant to the real issues a lot of people can be. Here's a body of water so polluted with garbage you don't even see the water underneath:

Yep. You know a large amount people voted for Obama just because he was black? They didn't listen to his opinion, his debates, what he argued for. They voted for him just because he was black. That's the reality of the world that we live in. Lots of ignorant people going about their day to day life not questioning why they act certain ways and they have no cause in life to fight for, no struggle.

Anyway I'll end this post with a quote from a guy who stopped eating meat:

"While undertaking this experiement, I noted a few changes in my body. I lost 5 pounds of body fat, going from 11% body fat to 8%, though I was eating as much as I wanted (anywhere from 3,600 to 4,400 calories a day).

I also noticed insane athletic recovery. I’m no Ironman triathlete, but I do like to get out there and hit it hard when I can. I had one day where I did 22 miles commuting on my bike, a superslow strength training workout at lunch, and 2 hours of footbag at night. The next morning I woke up fresh as a daisy not an ounce of soreness.

I slept better. I felt clear-headed. I was more productive at work.

I just felt better."

- This guy above did something very special by the way so let me know if you're interested in doing something similar to him to get similar results and I'll fill you in.

What's the best way to prevent death?

Killing animals for food is something we call 'the food chain' and its really a part of life. However, i am 100% against killing animals for FUN. Such as hunting. I think its totally immoral and discusting to call hunting a sport and enjoy mindlessly taking an animals life. Also whaling is, in my opinion such a tragedy. Murdering beautiful animals like that for god knows what just makes me sick.

What if you're below me in my food chain? Why is it okay to kill all other animals for food but not whales?

Some people need to eat meat for the protein, otherwise we'd have to get our protein from taking more pills. Animals eat other animals, It's just a part of life.

Protein doesn't just come from meat. Animals rape and murder each other as well, so is rape an murder ok too?
Yes,but the proteins from meat are better for human body. And if you don't like meat doesn't mean you have to judge the meat eaters. If you want to  rape and murder is your option,i choose to meat eat not to rape and murder!

I suspect you're not an expert in this. 'Meat' is a pretty large term so you can't really just say 'meat is better for the human body' when that's just not the case. There are plenty of red meats that aren't that good for you and you’d be better getting your protein from elsewhere. http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/what-should-you-eat/protein/

Actually, almost ANY kind of calorie is good for you (yes, including saturated fats and otherwise) as long as your diet in general is balanced.  I'm sure the reason carnivores in the animal kingdom have a much shorter expected life span compared to humans is because of all the saturated fat they eat, and not from dumb, trivial things like living outdoors or licking their own assholes (sarcasm).

Wow dude, I don't know where to begin.  Why do you keep talking about things that have nothing to do with the health benefits of meat (e.g. The Dalai Lama fraud issue, which by the way I'm familiar with and know those claims are ridiculously absurd)?  That does nothing to support your case and everything to suggest that perhaps you're the brainwashed one here.

Meat is good for you.  I know this from experience, from scientific literature, and from common sense.   Then add the fact that it's so damn TASTY, like fruit, and like complex carbohydrates like potatoes and yams and such.  The reason things are tasty is because they contain lots of energy.  Nature has this lovely way of making foods full of energy taste good, and the things we shouldn't eat taste god awful.  Vegetables are tolerable, but hardly tasty all on their own unless you add other tasty things. Why?  Because vegetables contain such low amounts of energy that you have to spend hours preparing and eating them!  Why not just eat a steak and get 500-1000 calories in a much faster, tastier way?

I eat almost zero vegetables and am in the best shape of my life (have pictures to prove it).  And, I don't clear a room every time I take a few steps Wink

watch out, he'll quote him selfs a dozen of times of post he copied from the Internet to try and convince you the vegetarians are better any way than other people. Yet Statically speaking people that have a balanced nutrition (including meat) are way more relevant and had more achievement not matter how many vegetarian exception

How do you know they are way more relevant? I'm not sure there's figures on this and I'm also not sure it's just a question of this specific person does or does not eat meat therefore they're better than person x or y who doesnt etc.

Simply statically speaking, people that eats meat are way more numerous than their vegan counterpart and thus the result is obvious.

Also if you look at top sportsman and Olympic winners, you don't see many 100% pure vegetarian, I've been saying this from the beginning, it's all about nutrition balance, at the top sport level, the detail of balance is made by the milligram especially during preparation and during an event

Obviously the figures are going to show that when the majority of people do eat meat, but it's not logical to say that people who eat meat = smarter and fitter people.

Who knows what he was interested in reading. I think he was just sharing his opinions and viewpoint.
Possibly. My situation is weird. I love meat, and it is easier for me to make than a salad, but when I start eating vegetables, I can't get enough. I love their taste and know that they are healthy.  Smiley
