If anyone has read the Dead sea Scrolls also tell you not to eat beast is forbidden like Pigs, if ya know biology pigs resemble humans in the fetus for a couple of months.  So religious eating meat can be wrong.

Eating is not about morals but survival. Every living thing eats other living things. That's the way it is, it's the food chain, and some are meant and made to eat meat while others aren't. Humans are carnivores by nature based on out teeth, our digestive system etc. However, that's not to say that a human has to eat meat to be healthy or that our modern ways of obtaining our animal protein is humane or right. But we are carnivores and it's up to us to choose to eat ethically raised and slaughtered animals for our meat or to learn to properly eat only non animal products in a way that will be healthy for our bodies needs.

Speaking of sugar:

Diabetes – Manage yours naturally!

Diabetes is a condition marked by too much glucose, or sugar in the blood. There are 2 types of diabetes. The first is called type 1, or insulin dependent diabetes, which occurs when the pancreas quits producing insulin.
Type 2 diabetes is non-insulin dependent and results when the cells of the body become insulin resistant, meaning that they no longer respond to the insulin produced. Type 2 diabetes is the most common. About 90 percent of diabetics have type 2 diabetes.
Diabetes is the sixth leading cause of death by disease in this country. It is also a major contributor to conditions such as blindness, kidney disease, memory loss, amputations of the lower extremities and premature death from heart disease.
The incidence of diabetes has tripled in the last 35 years and is expected to double again within the next 15 to 20 years. One of the most dramatic changes in disease patterns has been the appearance of type 2 diabetes in children. Ten years ago, this type of diabetes did not occur in children; however, now there is a significant increase in this age group which directly corresponds to the rising rates of obesity in children.
You are at risk for type 2 diabetes if you: are over the age of 55; have a family history of diabetes; are overweight; have high blood pressure; have had gestational diabetes; or are from particular ethnic backgrounds such as American Indian, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Mexican American, or African American.
Type 2 diabetes is caused by inappropriate diet, inactivity and deficiencies of certain vitamins and minerals. The good news is that type 2 diabetes responds very well to exercise, dietary changes and nutritional supplements.
Exercise is particularly effective at removing glucose from the bloodstream. It increases the body’s sensitivity to insulin and lowers insulin requirements....

I hope diabetes can be controlled naturally.
Has anyone here tried that?

Not the amount it takes to make a pint of liquid.
Well I make it differently then. I usually use milk, whey powder and some fruit. That's more of a shake I guess (or however it is called in English).

Yeah that sounds like a shake.
Those don't contain a lot of sugar. So they would be a safe and healthy alternative, right?

Humans are animals, accept that. We are built ( or digestive system ) in such order that we simply have everything to digest meat and process it. Our teeth are not built as teeth of a cow, we have canine teeth, we don't have digestive system of a herbivores. And hunting pray and making tools to do that built civilizations. If early humans made their diet solely on eating "green stuff" then we would have been extinct as a species...

I dont see how wed be extinct.
For the reason the humans chose to eat meat in the first place. It's just natural. All animals are aware of their diet by nature, it's not something they're taught, it's an instinct.

What will happen during ice age, when lost of crops died and such? You cant sustain settlements solely on one food type and pray to good nothing bad will happen...

Depends if the nutritionist knows what they're talking about. /having a small one is fine but not if you're chugging pints of them daily.
The only thing that everyone is basing this is about the amount of sugar. I don't see it being too high. You eat a lot of fruit during the day anyways, don't you?

Smoothies aren't really good for you. Far too much sugar.

I agree 100%. Recently, I am seeing a lot of people who are replacing their evening tea with smoothies. The big problem is that a 250 ml regular serving of it contains at least 50 grams of sugar, far more than the recommended daily intake.
It depends what you make the smoothie out of. A lot of diets include smoothies.
Many nutritionists recommend those as well. They can't be all wrong, can they?  Smiley
