I don't know if bitcoin is an option - I have had bitcoin for so many years, I have even spend some of them on good items, so therefor the only real cryptocurrency for me is bitcoin, all others are just pretenders there where late to the party ;-)
Altcoins are not created as figures in coin competition. Investing in old, top cryptocurrency will not give the same return in the investment as others make an investment in potentially low cap altcoin.

This is definitely BTC because this project is probably the main project of this whole cryptocurrency world. I am sure that today there are very many supporters of a different opinion who think the opposite. But I am sure that today we all understand very serious things.
And the falling down of bitcoin make the altcoin decreased.
Here's my list of my favorite altcoin until now:
Eos - Good platform and can defeat ethereum for long term run
Ethereum - the no. 2 biggest altcoin
Litecoin - good for long term hold.

I prefer not to fall in love with projects, of course there are those that I like most, such as STELLAR, EOS, very strong projects in terms of technology and ideas, but as a financial instrument, not every project can be useful.
But in projects like stellar and eos , you have to keep some of the money, because they can grow very strongly in the future , I think you need to use this opportunity than just pass it by

Although the price has dropped dramatically, ethereum is still my favorite altcoin for now, its smart contract system makes transaction costs very cheap compared to bitcoin. The transaction speed is still very smooth so it's not impossible ethereum is the only valuable altcoin among other altcoins.
Why do you think so. And something new similar projects. Eos or waves. They are good too. It is worth respecting them. Bitcoin as a grandfather. But there are other cool coins.

Personally, I prefer Ethereum most of all, but this is only because it is more convenient for me to work with Ethereum, but Bitcoin as a coin in the long term is in the first place.
until now BTC is still my favorite coin even though the price is currently down but I still haven't suffered a loss because I got it when the price is still below the current price.

Doge. Yea, mean good ol' $DOGE. Only experienced traders really appreciate the value usefulness of Doge. Especially when you sight or simply get the wiff of an arbitrage opportunity.

as for me I have never had or nowadays do not have the favourite coin. I just make the analisys of the market and make decisions according to changes. and according to the situation my preferances change as well. but some of the coins I consider more trustworthy and perspective or less, and that is all.
My favourite cryptocoin all time is dogecoin, i really like doge because of the transaction fee of doge is really small and also fast too. When i trading, i usually convert it into doge when i want to withdraw my coins, so the fee is not really big compared with bitcoin.

I am only interested in the stable necessary coins. Bitcoin, ETH - and many more different projects. I like these coins because they grow and are in demand.
