To me the biggest issue is the wallet. While maybe it's not as true as people would lead you to believe, but it is just so complicating / daunting to set up. Now that i'm in it and used to it it's not a big deal, but it is a biggggg barrier to entry for less adapt computer users.

Right now i feel the price is an issue.
If we want it to be used merchants should know what it is worth. Right now the price goes to up and down to often.
I think the price is not a problem, because the price of bitcoin, it will always be like that, is very volatile and unpredictable, so it's not a problem for me

Inability to use it for every online purchase I make.

Services like Bitpay are great for my needs and would help resolve my biggest problem although more e-stores need to accept/implement it.

Yeah this should be addressed somewhere.

Bitcoin need to be widespread and for that we have to achieve a wider merchants network.

I am just curious. There has been posted a lot of ideas on this thread. Have the developers realized only one of them?

Lack of adaption is the biggest problem for bitcoins. There are ways to make it usable everywhere. Like foldapp, there must be apps for all kind of people to use it for the day-to-day means of activities like retail purchase, offering to home less people and many others. This is the basic thing everyone spends money, If you enable basic spendings of everyone via your app to adapt bitcoin, easy to go.

There is no consensus of what bitcoin should be. A store or value like gold, or more like cash for every day transactions.

I personally think it is ridiculues to assume and want  bitcoin to be use for everyday purchases. Do you really want every single purchase of coffee, baby nappies, newspapers, groceries be recorded in ALL nodes all over the world? This seems as a massive waste of processing power of miners all over the world competing to confirm ppl coffee purchase from every single coffee shop on the planet.

It will probably be like gold. It was never designed to be a cash transfer system, even if Satoshi named it like that in his whitepaper, the architecture is not fit for it.

We will probably use LTC or Dash for that.

My main problem when using BTC is the slow confirmation and sometimes the technical issues, when I used to use the Bitcoin Core client I had allot of different issues from software failure to failure connecting to network (using blockchain.info), Would be awesome if there is a client with no glitches.

I don't mind the slow confirmation, I find it to be faster then a bank anyway
I don't have an issue with that but yes software failure and such
There's nothing we can do about it ourselves.

For me, probably the transaction confirmation times.  That is one the biggest wow or attractive factors with bitcoin for myself personally.  It is getting too long.

Yep nowadays it's getting very slow, i remember to transact in 10 min a while ago, now it takes 50 minutes.

It would be nice for a faster confirm time like 5-6 minutes.

Im experiencing it too like in my previous transactions. Im using web wallet most of the time (Coinbase and our local wallet exchange), and transaction time really sucks but in the past I don't have a experience like that using web wallets most of the time.

The biggest problem i have with bitcoin is that its not easy to buy and buying costs as i have to pay more than its value. one problem i have too is that i don't have a hero/legendary forum account for signature campaign. and buying such account also costs. Smiley

Nothing really, I love everything about except that mining is only left for the rich guys who can afford to make huge farms and earn bitcoins, I don't think it was meant to be this way.

No worries. Nowadays there are lots of methods and choices to earn bitcoin unlike the old days that mining is the famous way to earn bitcoin but really needs a big capital.

Just find some that you are comfortable with.

Software development team here.
We would like to hear from the community what are the most annoying\frustrating stuff you have with Bitcoin and would love to get a solution for ?
Feel free to talk about any problem, even if it seems unsolvable or too abstract (e.g. Bitcoin is not safe enough for the average user)
Edit:
After reading all the replies, I feel confident summarizing that the #1 problem of Bitcoin is probably lack of adoption.
And the main reasons of lack of adoption are probably ease of use and insufficient security.
We are a team of entrepreneurs and software developers that are going to spend the next following months-year on developing a new product.
One of the most appealing markets for us is the Bitcoin market.
We will try to learn us much as possible from your replies and try to tackle the problems head on.
i believe that the biggest problem is that bitcoin isnt that popular and the lack of adoption is kind of like a subset of that. imo if you solve the popularity issue of bitcoin adoption will simply follow.
