I wouldn't tell anyone how much Bitcoins do i have. Once you say that in a post or thread that you have xxx amount of coins you will be spammed heavily and hackers might target you.(Send you link or file with viruses etc..) That's why there's a poll to give anonymous answer.   Cool

Due to the anonymous nature of the internet, more ppl would feel comfortable to honestly tell how much btc they own...

yeah I know, that it is tempting to reveal your cards and thinks, that there is no risk or privacy breach possibility, because "we are on internet".

I can assure you, that the web (for majority of non-tech users), is not anonymous any-more and even somebody with average "google skills" can find literally everything about you..(not you personally, but speaking generally)

nobody is so stupid to expose, how many bitcoins he really have (except some guys with ~1BTC)

imagine, that it is like thread asking others about their salary or amount of money on their bank accounts. this is now, how internet works dude..

But for the same reason, there are a lot of ppl trying to get some attention by bragging about their sack of coins they don't own...

At this moment i'm holding ~5.7BTC, of which I have 5 on a paper wallet...

In my opinion, option 3 is the one that fits the most for the usual "curious" guys that invest in bitcoin.
Long-time bagholders maybe have 5-10BTC or more… who knows  Wink

If you don't believe in bitcoin maybe you just save 1-2…
Let's see how the poll goes  Tongue

Long time bagholders have upwards of 10, easily.

Those who got in early might still have 100s.

I have well below 10 now, however will be buying some more next week.
If anyone own more than 10BTC he/she can be happy  Cool nice amount!
That makes me remind a 'The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin' quote in which a hairdresser say: I own 1 bitcoin, soon I'm going to be rich  Tongue

If you believe in what bitcoin can be, it's not important to own 0.X, X or XX bitcoins. They're going to be valuable and we're going to be able to use it in many places as well as we can do now with payment gateways  Wink

Been in to bitcoin for about year and a little, but believe in the technology, not a holder yet... Everytime they get purchased for savings I find something new to purchase or another place to put them, but that's alright. As long as we don't goto the moon without me!

Yes but people that are willing to invest in Bitcoin is growing so more money should arrive. Right now this money is sucked up by mining.

How does the money get sucked up by mining?

Maybe I was not clear. I meant that the miners need to pay their maintenance costs so they are selling a portion of the new BTC mined to get fiat. If less BTC were mined or if the price was higher the new money that arrives on the market would bid up the BTC price

Got it, so the fact that mining creates more supply is keeping the price down.

I think most people will have at most 1 or 2 btc.

Not many people are willing to heavy invest into BTC
