Has anyone heard of any cool coins made in like the past month?
Quarkbar-QB is by far my favorite altcoin. many good things are happening with this coin. Still time to get in.

I missed the money-maker boat on NXT, but it really is a beautiful thing, and the one that will overtake LTC.
For me its Feathercoin Its not new and it's got a great established friendly community and those guys are doing some amazing work right now. Replacing the scrypt algorithm with an updated version they have developed themselves called neoscrypt.
They have a Feathercoin ATM and also a custom Point of Sale device.
Thats not all as the list is pretty long but go check them out I'm expecting big things over the next few months.

Actually there are four big anon coins. Darkcoin, Bytecoin, Monero, and XC. You forgot XC.
There are in fact five, I find it strange that people consistently forget the longest living anonymous coin, Anoncoin. Soon to be the first to sport zerocoin.

I've only tinkered with a few coins. I still spend most of my time learning about what's out there because I have a few designs for my own coin platforms. I'm not a dev, though, so I'm just trying to absorb everything I can.

Great idea. Uses BOINC in conjunction with PoW mining (they call it Proof of BOINC - PoB) to support grid computing power that contributes to scientific research.
The dev community is extremely active. Unfortunately, they're building a complicated beast and I personally don't feel it's 100% just yet. Very soon...but not yet.
I had an offline conversation with the creator of PopCoin (POP) https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/poppopular-coin-5-roi-crypto-social-media-that-pays-popnomicscom-444745. If you take a look and like what you see he seems to be a very motivated young man with a vision. I haven't mined it personally.
But as I said, I'm mostly here to learn and make some connections.
